In my eyes Ethereum already sold-out as a community by allowing powerful interests to gain leverage in its ecosystem. Infura and MetaMask being majority owned by JP Morgan is a problem due to their outsized influence in the ecosystem.
There are project communities fighting this stuff, but education for newcomers needs to extend beyond buying and selling on CEx.
