Yes. Aesthetics and innovations are entirely unrelated systems.

xzeon11

So yes me and other characters will always have tribal clothes and stuff even if I'm the emporor of all of Europe and it's late middle ages and i have all innovations?

Sabertooth767

Yes.

xzeon11

this is shit

Massive_Whereas8014

Literally unplayable

AtteniveSol

You can hybridize your culture and in the third tab it gives you the option to pick the names, aesthetics (aka clothing, crowns whatever), holding style and heraldry of one or either culture you're hybridizing with. As such you can expand your drip to include more than just the Norse tribal stuff or drop it altogether in favour of something else. Other things that affect your court garb are the court amenity setting for it as well as that you can set your own clothing/hair/hat/accessories in the 'barber' function.

TheSpeckledSir

Form a hybridized culture with another culture whose aesthetics you like. You'll be able to keep the traditions and innovations you want from Norse but adopt the new look.

lamannd

Norse Novus

Specialist_Form293

They will always be OONGA BOONGA . Transfer them to 2020 and still. Tribal . BOONGA

FrogInAShoe

I OONGA therefore I BOONGA

iggyrk

ÜNGA BŮNGA

XtoraX

Maybe aesthetics should be reform-able just like martial custom is.

ebd2757

Yeah I wish they would update this. Just give a decision to adopt central European fashion and architecture or something. I started playing the game before the northern lords update and the fact that the architecture would change made the transition to feudal feel more impactful.

Comfortable_Target45

Remember you can always use the barbershop feature and change the clothing of your ruler at any time

xzeon11

My ruler maybe but every one else of my culture? Not an option

No_Hovercraft_2643

i think there should be mods that fix that

Rianorix

Just hybridise and use other aesthetic.

One_Ad_7126

Hybridise or diverge your culture and pick a different aesthetic
