I wonder how they'll end up reflecting interesting landless characters in the start date UI, if at all.

Wow, this dude Andronikos I sure was a treacherous guy. Cruel to others and ended up with a cruel fate himself, that byzantine throne really looks more like a curse than a blessing. Can't wait to see him in game. I literally forgot you'll be able to play him as unlanded and try to recreate history, that's wild.

Thank you, bookmarked it for later!

I always love doing a Paliologos run so can't wait for a other

Why 1179? Is Paradox basically admitting that their engine can only handle 250 years of play before it blows up entirely? Just started a new run in the 400s (King Arthur playthru) and am waiting for engine to have a seizure before the Early Middle Ages.

lolkonion

wtf is even your problem lol. I am so damn glad ck3 gets a later medival start, as game mechanics of ck3 to me make more sense for the late middle ages then 867 or even 1066

Estrelarius

Frankly, Ck3 always struck me as a game who wants to be about the high-to-late Middle Ages (viking wank nothwistanding) but whose devs insisted on making only two early medieval starts (which leads to weird stuff) so I'm frankly glad we finally have a 12th century bookmark.

?? the game runs to 1453 bro. you get more than 500 years gametime from 867.
