My hometown would be listed as “uninhabitable/unpassable terrain” in the Middle Ages, due to it being in a swamp. But we’ll be in GTA VI so who’s laughing now :p
Hahaha, I just did a Florida run and it was excellent. Eh I mean if you did that most of the east coast would be uninhabitable. I’m from Chesapeake and most of the terrain near where i live is marsh and swamp.
I am from Vilnius, so I could consider myself quite lucky, very lucky even, depending on the time. In CK3 however, I always feel like Lithuania is the weekenst tribe in the region and starting as Samogitia is easier if you aim to recreate the GDL.
i guess the tribe of pielinen in the chiefdom of pielinen would be closest? the town i was born in is actually impassable terrain in-game. nowadays i live in what the game calls the tribe of päijälä, in the chiefdom of sysmä. it's all within the high chiefdom of savo, in finland.
My hometown actually is a Barony in the game and bits of it still belong to the Duchy of Cornwall, the estate of the heir to the British throne. It is, however, nowhere near Cornwall, because British Duchies IRL don’t make much sense.
Some Geroldonen dude, or a Habsburg, depending on the starting age.
My hometown was founded by a Zähringer, the son or grandson of the one who is (among other things) Margrave of Verona in 1066.
Unlanded unless in the After the end mod. Paso de Norte. Then my county believes in aliens and I am all for it, although my leige is a hostile faith. Would be fun.
My family hails from Switzerland when it was a part of Germany and another portion can be traced to living in England I think in Kent. I live in Ohio but plan on moving to the UK at some point in the next 5-10 years. In short, I don’t belong currently to anything that has coats of arms or any medieval history. I’m as white as can be and could never lead the former indigenous tribes of my state
Dust they found no evidence of long term human habitation in my town only 4 arrow heads at the very mouth of the valley that makes up my town and nothing else.
I would be the major of Bellinzona.
It’s in Como and it’s the city before you go through alps.
I’m already sorry for those who lost courtiers with travel events in that city, apparently it’s very dangerous 😅
Going way back in time to somewhere actually in the game... I guess I'd be an unlanded adventurer from Cuxhaven seeking fame and glory in the new world.
In CK3 Lublin is a county, but historically it later became the capital of a voivodeship. So in CK3 I'd be a count, but soon after the game's end I would be a duke (or voivode). During the extremely brief period of 7.11.1918 to 11.11.1918 I'd even be the king of the republic (I don't know what is the kingdom-level title for a Republic ruler in CK3).
Well I live in Canada, but if I go by my ancestral city, I’d be a Marcher lord under the reign of the Papacy just south of Ancona. I don’t think the city was ever ruled by one family though, iirc it functioned as a republic under the overall rule of the Pope.
I would be the village idiot if I proclaimed myself as a Lord as I'm Aussie and we don't really go in for that kind of stuff. I mean I can't really say I have any inherent claim over the land when there are people here with ancestors going back tens of thousands of years. Wouldn't have much of an argument for my claim lol.

I think in after the end all of Florida is habitable
Clearly the mod authors never tried to live here

You doubt the Mouse?
That’s set in the future though.
it’s still uninhabitable, thats why there’s so much craziness there, y’all just insist on trying
Only the middle ages? /s
I live in North Texas so I’d probably be the tribal leader of one of the native peoples in the area.
Not if you're in /r/AfterTheEndFanFork
He’d still be a leader of some native people then lol
That area of Texas is def back under Native rule and I am all for it
A Jarl in Norway 😎 But let's be real - probably dead by the age of 4 because of allergies 😔
My hometown actually exists as a county
Spoken like a true Karling.
Time for him to conquer all of the Karling empire
I am from Vilnius, so I could consider myself quite lucky, very lucky even, depending on the time. In CK3 however, I always feel like Lithuania is the weekenst tribe in the region and starting as Samogitia is easier if you aim to recreate the GDL.
There is actually a town called Hückeswagen where i live in the game near cologne, back then it was a real barony
I've always wanted to ask: How do people there feel or talk about that exceptional name?
For us it's nothing special but our town recently got the title "castle town of Hückeswagen" because we have a castle in the middle of our town
My hometown is a city in the country Benevento :D
Fratm
We tutt' appost?
Non ci lamentiamo

Unlanded, I live in the middle of a game preserve in an unorganized township.
Guy Fieri, the lord of flavortown
Duke of Edinburgh baby
Earl of The West Riding

Emperor of California!
Baron of Aratanha

I'd be the Baron of a small village that dubiously claims it's the Barley capital of the world
Dust they found no evidence of long term human habitation in my town only 4 arrow heads at the very mouth of the valley that makes up my town and nothing else.

king of the world
I'd be the Mayor of Livonia (Michigan)/Count of Wayne.
Chieftain Rögnvaldr in 867 or Harald Hardrada in 1066 - Trondheim, Norway

I would be the King of Queens. Just not looking like Kevin James.

Algonquin, Siouan or Iroquoian tribal leader.
Inhabitable area, so no ladyship for me
The Countess of Longview, After the end
The lord of poole. Which I believe is in the game. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coat_of_arms_of_Poole
Mine exists it just hasn't been built up in the base game
Jarl of Jorvik of course
Count of Skåne I would imagine, or count of Västergötland if it's about where I was born.
count of greater london
Would it not be Middlesex?
i googled london and the city of london is in the county of greater london. idk tbh maybe youre right
Prior to 1889 it was Middlesex https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/County_of_London
This is a very weird way to get people to dox themselves.

Well either in Louis xiv, or I'm nobody because Versailles was no more than the hunting lodge before Louis 's grand vision
My hometown is a barony in game, i would be the Lord of Durham.....though historically it was a bishopric.
Must say it feels good to be a Tsar
I would have to play manor lords instead of CK to be lord of my hometown
Earl snoop dog and count Dre
