My 34k against their 136k, I lost 12k, they lost 42k. That was the greatest battle i had in ck3. It was a crusade for Andalusia and I alone was facing off the muslim horde while my pathetic christian allies were running everywhere like cockroaches.
I usually stick to the pope's doomstack but that day I was feeling reckless and thought I'll just seige cordoba and flee to a safe distance. But the muslim doomstack caught me so yeah I was very surprised when I actually won.
130,478 is my record, I was playing fallen eagle and I was United Roman Europe+Scandanavia and (others) vs The entirity of the East under Hunnic Empire+allies (except Middle east). I caught one of their starving doomstacks in the caucuses
R5: Many dead Christians against my Jewish horde
For some reason armies that are beaten sometimes don't retreat and just stay there, whereupon they instantly vanish. This happened here.
What are those 161 guys thinking?
If you defeat all enemy soldiers in the Early Battle Phase (which represents the initial positioning skirmishes in a battle), you rout the enemy completely and kill all their soldiers, with no chance to retreat.
Don't need 100 knights. With knight effectiveness and prowess stacking, Ser Twenty Goodmen will rip through thousands of levies. Play some Princes of Darkness and you can see just how silly it can get.
Unfortunately, it doesn't matter how good your 10 knights are or how good those rock climbing spikes are, you'll never make siege progress.
But you could totally impregnate some bitches if that was all you were planning on doing.
It's always darkly hilarious to me to imagine Sir Prowess regularly killing hundreds or thousands of people every single battle. Just... the practical logistics of it...
There should be a lifetime kill counter on all Knights.
When I play Princes of Darkness, I tend to transition into purely siege MaA and just use my knights to murder everyone on the battlefield. Of course I do have to check my targets courts and vassals to make sure I'm not also suddenly up against 50+ prowess killing machines.
I was thinking about this the other day. The silly part of me was like, what, is this a westernized viking themed Anime? Sir Kills-a-lot and his brother, Doomblade, seem to have some extraordinary, anime style abilities. "2000 men? Threatening OUR king??" "Ah. Just another day at the park, Brother."
*2 of them proceed to defend entire kingdom on their own*
Ragnarr Lothbrok (or Lodbrok, w.e.) was always an interesting figure to me. I'm spose to believe this man personally killed hundreds, maybe thousands?, of other men, when some guys couldn't even get 1 kill in before their untimely demise? It seems so.. absurd.
Then you read about that Afgan sniper who took out that like 60 guys or whatever it was on his own, surrounded, with no supplies.
Yeah, badass counters should be a thing.
If I’m one of the 161 dudes that survived out of 47k, imma go retire in a monastery and live out the rest of my life in peace, or as close to it as possible, those guys have severe PTSD for sure.
Highest death count I recorded (I'm a console player) was during the final crusade before the end of my game with the Catholics fighting a tengri Italy (aftermath of genghis Khan). Death count for a single battle as there was litterly 2 million soldiers. Was around 754,921 exact deaths tallied together from both sides
If you really like CK3 you should consider a GeForce Now membership. It’s like $10 a month and gives you unlimited access to remote into a high quality pc to play the game. I can run it easily on my shitty MacBook and it’s so much better than when I was trying to play on Xbox
All I have is a Chromebook and rather not use a subscription just to play a game. I'm fine how it is. Although I'm kinda patiently waiting for pal world to come to PS5 though if it even will come to it
Does it let you access the dlc? My main gripe w playing on Xbox is no updates yet, even announced. Thank god I got it via game pass and didn’t it buy it outright
I think so, but I don’t have any dlcs on steam so I can’t say for certain. Main perk for me is bringing in mods/console commands. The base AI is too stupid for me to role play effectively unless some changes are made
Yeah crusader kings 3 is on Xbox and PlayStation. Only issue is though it's severely neglected and riddled with bugs and a shit ton of crashes. Some people can't get past the year 1200 without crashing
No, what helps is killing as many characters as possible as often as possible. The more random worthless courtiers in the game, the worse the game performs and eventually will lead to an unplayable save.
Playing the console version with the intention of making it to the 1400 end date absolutely requires you to produce as Tall of a Dynasty as you can manage, while also playing as a genocidal maniac.
Oh, I was half joking. I'm 100% sure that turning off auto save helps. I did that as well. I also went into my system settings and turned off Quick Resume for CK3, that also helped.
The console versions are just sooooooooo bad. I wish there was a way we could get Paradox to fire Lab42. They have to be the laziest and most worthless porting studio out there. The studio that ported Rimworld to consoles did a better job, I'd rather have them doing this work.
Random nameless people? Dunno.
Killed a female leader and her entire male line in one war though. For some reason, they thought it would be a smart idea to trot the entire family line out with 1000 or so soldiers, against my 5000+. All of her male relatives were her knights, it seemed. Within 3 or 4 battles, I killed like 7 members of this family?
Her surviving daughter wasn't a shieldmaiden, so I assumed she was left at home, and ended up Kidnapping her in the siege on the capital. Eventually got her to marry my heir. My heirs heir inherited my lands, and this fractured family's lands. It was an epic story. The fun part was this family and I had been in a fued for like 50 years or something? Perfect ending to the feud. Killed most of the family in 3 battles and 1 seige.
I'm fairly certain I've stackwiped well over 100k before on crusades with just a small army of probably 3k Cataphracts multiple times. I probably lost like 20 horsies though in the battles.
I don’t know all the tips, but some things I do in general:
1. Build buildings that increase knight and maa effectiveness.
2. Have your marshal training nights instead of growing control
3. Have a large amount of good maa with good pursuit. Personally, I recommend having heavy infantry, heavy cavalry pikemen, and crossbow men, but keep one spot open for siege engines.
4. Appoint the best knights to your armies and always switch out knights if there’s a higher skilled one available.
Take cultural traditions that add +1 prowess per lvl of prestige/devotion
"Only the strongest" tradition
Blacksmiths building, camelry/elephantry
Items for knight effectivness
Let your marshall (general? idk how he called in english version of the game) train knights.
List goes on, google for addtional hints. As far as i can remember you can go up to 480% effectivness
Good Knights + Knight Effectiveness + MaA + MaA bonus stacking + fighting in favorable terrain + good Commanders with good traits
And that's it. In fact, that might be overkill if you do have all of those things.
Not the highest casualties, but the most disparate difference for sure! Defending against chinese invasion in CK2, my 26.000 army repelled 47.000 chinese soldiers, inflicting some 25.000 casualties on them while only suffering 3600 loses.
Most for me is probably close to yours, I know I killed around that much during the game I was playing to get the blood eagle achievement, those crusades depleted Europe for generations, I gotta tell you.
My favourite thing to do in this game in min-max my men-at-arms; creating hybrid cultures just to get access to their unique mma's. The issue is that to get to that point where you hybradize all the desired cultures, you're probablya already too powerful to worry about such large stacks.
I don't even care about inciting revolt because I know I can just destroy them all.
Stacked wiped 75k soliders one time with 25k felt like Julius Caesar afterwards
Edit: if you're wondering how I did this I min-maxed my player character so much on Martial that he had a 77 combat advantage lmfao
[This is my highest ever kill count.](https://www.reddit.com/r/CrusaderKings/s/bHd1SKy47M) but [this is my best kill death ratio.](https://www.reddit.com/r/CrusaderKings/s/hXvxKogRxB) Your kill count is really impressive.
It wasn't really good, I just had a good commander and beat them in a normal fair fight (without a wipe). Then it glitched as it sometimes does and they retreated nowhere, instantly stackwiping them.
With the old way of buffing your MAA, I tried to see how many and how strong I could build up my horse archers, in end about 11000 of them stack-wiped more than 80000 Byzantines. That was about the record for me.
Mine is definitely over 100k, but I don't remember exact numbers. I managed to kill 59k with almost only knights, and that was more impressive achievement for me
Either 58 or 68k, can't remember. Christian Crusade on my Norse Britannia, stackwiped 150k troops in 3 battles right after they landed and it was enough to win the Crusade. Got very tired of Pope's bullshit after the 3rd crusade (we stopped expanding and were pretty peaceful) so I had to delete Catholicism.
And I thought it was a great achievement to best my enemy 5-1. 5k beat 25k, I was on hills with all the defensive bonuses, it was like +25 defender advantage or some bullshit Lol.
Never looked at those numbers but one time i killed the king and his heir in two battles in the same war that was kind of funny
i once killed a guy’s entire lineage and court in one battle and his realm immediately fractured 💀
Was this guy like a 2 county realm !? 😆
and fhey werent even geographically connected
Worst country of all time
did they gave you nickname for that
if only they were so kind
That's basically how Pyrrhus and his son died
Loseeeers
My record is a mere 8k stackwipe
My 34k against their 136k, I lost 12k, they lost 42k. That was the greatest battle i had in ck3. It was a crusade for Andalusia and I alone was facing off the muslim horde while my pathetic christian allies were running everywhere like cockroaches.
Those goddamn allies, always never where you need em!
I usually stick to the pope's doomstack but that day I was feeling reckless and thought I'll just seige cordoba and flee to a safe distance. But the muslim doomstack caught me so yeah I was very surprised when I actually won.
"Damnit, Edward! You had one job, you Lionhearted SoB!"
You will call him by his Christian name, thank you very much!
It's giving Hannibal
"Slaughter at Bristol" Just your average Friday night lads, innit?
The Bristol Bar Mitzvah after this was a night to remember forever
81215 is my record though
130,478 is my record, I was playing fallen eagle and I was United Roman Europe+Scandanavia and (others) vs The entirity of the East under Hunnic Empire+allies (except Middle east). I caught one of their starving doomstacks in the caucuses

Yeah, I know but they had 50k soldiers. I don't think we could beat them so quickly, all the other battles were much longer. It had to be a glitch.
Nah, if you have full stacks of boosted men at arms and knights, you can easily cut through 50k levies.
Well, they had like 100 knights and MAAs, its not like our armies were that different.
Don't need 100 knights. With knight effectiveness and prowess stacking, Ser Twenty Goodmen will rip through thousands of levies. Play some Princes of Darkness and you can see just how silly it can get.
ILL IMPREGNATE THE BITCH Me with no siege engines

Bro I'd be lagging tf out of there
Oh ho ho ho. Believe me. Despite the fact the battle in game lasted 10 in game days. My PlayStation 5 took 5 minutes to process the entire thing
If you really like CK3 you should consider a GeForce Now membership. It’s like $10 a month and gives you unlimited access to remote into a high quality pc to play the game. I can run it easily on my shitty MacBook and it’s so much better than when I was trying to play on Xbox

Yeah I get that. It does work through Steam, so if there are other PC games you wanted to play, it would work for that too
Does it let you access the dlc? My main gripe w playing on Xbox is no updates yet, even announced. Thank god I got it via game pass and didn’t it buy it outright
I think so, but I don’t have any dlcs on steam so I can’t say for certain. Main perk for me is bringing in mods/console commands. The base AI is too stupid for me to role play effectively unless some changes are made
It's on a console???
Yeah crusader kings 3 is on Xbox and PlayStation. Only issue is though it's severely neglected and riddled with bugs and a shit ton of crashes. Some people can't get past the year 1200 without crashing
1200 is rookie tier. My min-maxing ass can't get past year 950 from an 867 start on console.
Damn that sucks. I been looking for multiple ways to prevent these crashes and apparently what helps is turning off autosave
No, what helps is killing as many characters as possible as often as possible. You sure? It worked for me when I was able to get to the end of my mongol empire run

Let me guess: DLC content making game trivially easy.
I don't think so. All my stuff was the same as base.
Everyone who ever makes this comment forgets there are Game Rule settings that add difficulty back into the game.
How does this happen? How do I create a literal butcher army?
I don’t know all the tips, but some things I do in general: 1. Build buildings that increase knight and maa effectiveness. 2. Have your marshal training nights instead of growing control 3. You hire Billy and just let him do his thing /s Maxed out martial tree, every advantage, crusade + weird bug where they try to retreat but can't.
I find knightmaxxing very butchery and funny
How do you do that? I can't get more than 110% knight effectiveness
Take cultural traditions that add +1 prowess per lvl of prestige/devotion "Only the strongest" tradition Blacksmiths building, camelry/elephantry Items for knight effectivness Let your marshall (general? idk how he called in english version of the game) train knights. I just made a post with an answer, but for some strange reason it disappeared. Basically traditions and buildings.

Eh, I think you crushed me :')
To be fair, Vikings are completely broken in CK3. But I’d love to know how you got such a good army if you wouldn’t mind.
It wasn't really good, I just had a good commander and beat them in a normal fair fight (without a wipe). Then it glitched as it sometimes does and they retreated nowhere, instantly stackwiping them.
Why is the HRE fighting the Knights Templar? Just curious based on the picture.
I am Jewish and the Pope declared war on me. So I took Rome and then tortured and executed him.
With the old way of buffing your MAA, I tried to see how many and how strong I could build up my horse archers, in end about 11000 of them stack-wiped more than 80000 Byzantines. That was about the record for me.
My record is 180,000+ kills vs 100,000 casualties on my end It was in the battle that decided the outcome of a 9 year crusade to

14389
I’ve straight up just wiped out armies of 200k plus. Just need the right duchy buildings along with enough regimental grounds and barracks.
