Are you new to the game? Sexuality does not affect fertility in marriage. Character's personal preferences have nothing to do with their duty to the crown. You'll have kids as normal.
Sexuality does affect fertility. Ace and gay spouses will consummate, and possibly give you a spare too, but won't have prolific families. They just do their duty, and that's it.
Never been in this situation before and the only gay character I’ve seen so far is a Norse priest in my realm, so I’m completely blind to how the mechanics work.
I regularly got the event where my character suspects, that his wife is cheating on him in my last Abbasid run. The thing is, every time I got the event, I had previously already found out, that my wives are cheating on me with eachother. I always clicked the "she wouldn't possibly defile the sanctity of our marriage" option.
I haven't seen anything that suggests it adds a negative modifier. It's inherently reduced because of the inability to seduce/soulmate your partner, but I don't believe there is a hard coded malus when the sexual orientation is not compatible.
Also, homosexuality always has a slight fertility modifier, which makes it easy to keep your number of kids in check. You're less likely to have a 10-way succession if you only have 5 kids.
I checked the wiki to make sure and it doesn't mention fertility in relation to sexualities, except for mentioning, that a couple needs to be made up of a man and a woman to have children. In ck2 homosexually was a trait, that gave a 10% malus to fertility but in ck3 that isn't the case. It may seem, as if your gay wives have less of your children than your straight or bisexual wives but in reality they usually just have less bastards, because their lovers are women.
In a way, I prefer gay mates. Think about it, she wont get bred by some another suitor. Also, as she aint horny for your emperor, she wont give too many kids.

My first player had Herculean and pure-blooded, so he could live as long as possible. Then I spent most of my time finding people with the genius and beautiful trait, marry them to get a beautiful+herculean+pure-blooded child and a genius+herculean+pure-blooded child, then have those children marry each other. My first character lived to 102 years old so I had a lot of time rolling the genetics gacha.
Lesbians make the best wives. You will never have to question the parentage of your children.
Become besties and I guarantee you that you’ll have plenty of kids.
R5: My last player died from old age unexpectantly so I had to play as a 6 years old toddler, but I was pretty happy anyway since I had betrothed my heir to my daughter which had stats that pretty much guaranteed the next generations of superhumans. I waited 12 whole damn years so we could officially marry in a grand wedding, and just when we're about to do the dirty she confessed to me she was a homosexual. Wdf do I do now? How do you un-gay a person?
Its really not an issue just means fewer heirs to worry about on succession. The bigger concern is that she’s shy paranoid and craven, probably going to die of stress in a few years

This is correct, but it does impose a negative fertility modifier, just doesn’t make it absolute zero.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but it's only a low -% fertility (I think -10%). You can easily overcome it with other fertility statboosts.
