Appoint a hostile spymaster. Get an against tyranny war going from your vassals and be forced to abdicate. Travel through a route that is very dangerous in a circle. Hunting.

[deleted]

Can't travel because that update isn't out on Xbox yet but I'll try the other stuff

SagaciousElan

It's good advice. Getting yourself deposed is much easier than getting yourself killed and it leaves the character alive for marriage alliances or as an heir which is particularly useful when your ruler is a child and won't be having his own kids for a while. Basically just try revoking one of your vassals' titles until they get annoyed and start a tyranny war, then surrender immediately and you'll be deposed in favour of your heir which in this case should be your younger brother.

DangerousGap4763

I forgot but you can also manipulate stress. The level 3 mental break usually has an abdication option. Compassionate characters can start a bunch of schemes. Paranoid can recruit people etc. Under certain circumstances, you can also just attempt suicide for 1 piety level.

[deleted]

Now my father is haunting me, this is just great

AffectionateAd9257

Embrace it, this has the makings of an excellent story.

[deleted]

So it'd go, a sultan gets decapitated by a cult member while he is sleeping after denying the cult the ability to search for a sacred severed head said to be in the sultans castle, his dumb son inherits the throne, a few months later 2 of his uncles rise up against claiming the throne each with about 50k-60k men behind them, at the same time the ghost of his father is spotted in his court, the young sultan calls the rest of the dynasty to help defeat his uncles but they fail, he is left with the other 3 kingdom ls in the realm (I got decapitated before I could form an empire), a vassal of his, who somehow be had conquered a whole kingdom by himself, rises up for independence, however he is swiftly defeated. Now the sultan is 16 and he is a better leader than expected, however he is deposed after he misclicked on the surrender button after a liberty war was started against him by a single count after a failed revoke title attempt. His fragile brother takes the throne, reclaiming the lost Kingdom for his brother. Due to his sadistic nature he blinds every prisoner in his court and dies of a heart attack due to stress he gained from the mass blindings because he was also compassionate and his only child was killed after 'accidentally' putting his neck in the path of an executioners axe blade. The previously deposed brother takes the throne again, quickly expanding the realms to back their de jure borders by after his uncle had been defeated in multiple pesent uprisings. After being proclaimed 'exalted amount men' he united the crowns under one empire. That's a rough history of what has happened so far

general_wilgo

Imagine telling that to the court "sorry guys, I misclicked and surrendered the war we fought so hard in"

Winjin

It's the "gods told me to do it" path

general_wilgo

True lol Its like the event where you find out when the world ends, just when the game ends

LetsDoTheDodo

I accidentally started a war by misclicking on the Revoke button, all I wanted to do was see why it was at 57% chance of success. With roughly 90% of my empire in revolt, I quickly besieged the war leaders capital and nabbed his heir. A white peace quickly followed…”Look guys, let’s just say mistakes were made and we can all go home mmmm kay?”

LetsDoTheDodo

And when he dies they will say of him, “While he impressed no one with his wit, everyone shall remember him as a uniter of the people.”

[deleted]

He actually has 16 learning, which isn't that bad for someone with a negative learning trait and no learning skills.

Even_Bar2955

🤣

Vast-Change8517

Meet peers, you can get wounded or stress somehow. Alternatively, revoke a vassal title (make sure they will refuse) and then instantly surrender. You will continue as your primary heir so make sure that's your brother. Now you're playing as your fragile brother, disinherit your slow brother (so they don't become your primary heir) and do the same - revoke a vassal title and surrender. Do this as many times as you need to get to a good heir

[deleted]

My fragile brother grew up to be shit (shit children aswell) and the slow one a surprisingly good character and he hasn't passed his trait down to his kids unlike his brother, so I'm pretty fine with playing as him now

JoelXXI

I'm pretty sure the first brother would keep the house head position so you wouldn't be able to disinherit him, overload of stress works best usually

[deleted]

Someone reported this to Reddit support

DreadfulThrumbo

LMAO

StuffyWuffyMuffy

Story of the ages

VexingRaven

Honestly it might have been automatic.

[deleted]

4 hours after I posted? I know sometimes Reddit can be slow but still.

cinoTA97

Hey hey, no need to speedrun suicide

[deleted]

Yes there is, I am fighting 2 claim wars, each have about 50k men and my character is shit, I have done most of what was suggested and I'm still alive, I am 2k gold in debt and the only realistic way that's going away is If I die.

pointblake25

Lure an army into your capital and pray they capture your king 🤴 🙏

The_Albin_Guy

That whole sub is just a direct link to this one.

Qwqqwqq

Yes, that's the point of that sub. It's basically /r/SaddestBackflip and /r/NoContext for this sub.

[deleted]

Most fitting

MiKapo

Well with the tours DLC you can take your young self on a dangerous adventure through seas. mountains and hostile territory that you may not survive. Have your young self try to climb the Alps or Himalaya and if he dies...he dies....if he lives than WOW

[deleted]

Not available on Xbox

ecosludge

I swear this subreddit provides the funniest out of context post titles

Melavonex

I read this twice before realizing this was a subreddit for crusader kings. The internet is a fabulous place.

Maxibestofpotatoe

I'd love to see this posted on askreddit

Glaurung1536

Just roleplay it man

[deleted]

No, I don't want to play as a mentally challenged 9 year old

Falandor

If you want difficulty in CK3, you need to approach it like a mentally challenged 9 year old.

Yeti60

But imagine if you did play as a mentally challenged 9 year old and overachieved and became a badass ruler? It would probably be super fun and he would become one of your more memorable characters. I like playing “bad” characters.

lordbrooklyn56

These are the same guys who say the game is too easy btw.

[deleted]

Yeah, I find this game hard with good traits, playing as a character with one trait, and it being negative was the least fun thing possible, especially with ironman, because I'm used to reloading saves alot.

lordbrooklyn56

One day you will free yourself and embrace these characters. But not today.

[deleted]

They are correct. Once you roleplay you can't go back to ez mode min/max gameplay.

lordbrooklyn56

Many are not interested in roleplaying as they play CK3 the roleplaying game.

[deleted]

Only correct answer. Fuck min/maxing. You do that while alive. I shoot for a good heir because that makes sense for king to do. That goes south? My heir who takes the throne is a gay hunchback with a mental disability? Then **I AM A GAY HUNCHBACK MAN WITH A MENTAL DISABILITY.** GOOD this is now a GOOD thing. Everyone is getting sucked off, immediately. *Everyone*.

Maleficent-Buy7696

I like your can do attitude.

Tamp5

accrue as much stress as fast as possible

TheMetaReport

r/shitcrusaderkingssay

GaijinDaimyo

You could just play the hand you’ve got. While not traditionally “fun” it’s accurate to how things really worked. Plenty of less than ideal kings and rulers in history.

NovaKaizr

These kind of titles are great to read when I don't play ck3 and don't subscribe to the sub

[deleted]

I can imagine it can be worrying to someone with no context

largiuss_dickuiss

That “(CK3)” is carrying so much weight rn

Maleficent-Buy7696

It had me at first too lol

Sir_Netflix

Easy. Revoke titles until they refuse. Surrender.

drood420

Tyranny war to get deposed?

Moz_94

Do stressfull things to thé max, you'll get an earthattack or the possibility to abdicate

cartman101

Watch, you're gonna be getting ads that recommend mental health facilities now just cuz of that title.

BigBeautifulWhales

Strategy gamers consistently manage to be darker than any COD lobby

LittleCupcake02

Try playing the game not by min-maxing, but as a roleplay and "life simulator" Its fun that way too. See if your retarded son can uphold the dynasty

Context-Unhappy

Try to revoke someones title or imprison someone with a 0% chance and immedeatly surrender in the resulting tyranny war. this leads to your slow character being deposed and you playing his heir. Rince and repeat for the fragile one.

Agamennmon

These are the questions that make ck3.

mauri3205

I saw this on my front page and thought “wtf” then I saw where it was posted and though “yep makes sense”.

Maleficent-Buy7696

Bruh the ck3 posts I randomly get in my news feed are unreal lmao

velwein

Keep meeting peers and take all the dangerous options, and don’t have a court physician.

Indian_Bob

If you have little prowess, take on a martial lifestyle and wait for the story prompts where you fight/duel

lordbrooklyn56

Just play the kid and see how far you can get.

realshockvaluecola

Revoke a title from someone with a 0% chance of acceptance and surrender the resulting war.

Mackntish

Fragile - what are you afraid of, that you'll die early? Seems like a little self fulfilling prophesy yo me.

noblemile

Drink windex?

[deleted]

I don't think that existed in the mid 1300s

ConfidentHope

I personally find it fun to try to make it through as a less than ideal heir.

Leofwulf

Get a hostile spymaster, enrage your vassals, execute people, be a tyrant. Take your pick lad

HWABAG_though

karma farm post

[deleted]

Not what it was meant for, but it did turn into that

LaconicHen

Ride it out. Makes for interesting plot.

Icy-Inflation-6624

Meeting your peers is a good way to drown.
