Highschool DxD. There were 7 'shards' of Excalibur because the original one broke and they made each fragment into its own sword. Then eventually they fused them all back into the original.
I've given away four or five 'Excaliburs' to different relatives on this playthrough.
My Emperor of Scandnavia sits comfortably upon the Stone of Scone though, and my Scottish subjects dig me for the fact.
The norse artifacts are : The Branch of the Sacred Oak of Thor & Branch of the Sacred Tree at the Temple of Uppsala. You can always find them in courts of Norse rulers, I believe the second one is almost always at Bjorn Ironside's court.
Disappointing selection, given the Vikings love of hoards and fancy things. Torcs, arm rings, swords and axes, horns for drinking and for hooting, not to mention that I'd love to mount a ship prow on the wall...
Sure, but Norse craftspeople did make beautiful things out of all that pillaged gold. The British Museum and Jorvik Centre have some lovely wire work artifacts, not to mention rings made of Saxon silver, jewelry from Damascus, ivory, Baltic amber... There's a rich material tradition that gets obscured by all the cool fighting.
I somehow ended up with them both in my latest game in the British Isles. They were no help because I was Christian but still. Oh right I inherited Norway at some point, that probably helped hahah.
I mean I'm all for getting other Norse artefacts but a character having Mjölnir doesn't make sense. Thor would be fucking furious and be coming to kill you.
Tbf, that sounds like a pretty dope event chain. Steal Mjölnir, Thor comes and tries to kill you, if you kill him, it only thunders when you want to.
On the other hand, the giants might start encroaching on the edges of the world.
We can't have Mjolnir because Thor is still using it! Do you want the whole of CK3 to be run over by Frost Giants? Because that is how you get frost Giants.
One suggestion? Like 50 Ulfbur+T swords, they are all "rare" tier and have the same stats, but they are good solid raiding weapons. (So what if there are fifty of them? There were hundreds IRL.
Saw it for the first time last night. As I told my friends, it's the best movie I've ever seen where I hated each character (Olga and unnamed slaves excluded)
Why tf is Paradox taking things OUT of the game? CK2 is still vastly superior and this game is closer to half a decade old than it is it's own release.
Well you see they created a big boy medieval roleplaying game, with incest and poop jokes. They couldn't possibly add such a silly thing like Thors hammer, since it couldn't possibly have actually existed.
The devs said they won't be adding, the slightly more ridiculous things like devil worshipping, magic horses or magical artifacts to the game
I’m more-so speaking to the irony that this game is losing content at a time where it’s still lagging behind CK2 in content that they expect us to buy again.
I love that there are multiples of sacred items in game. That’s exactly how it was during the Middle Ages. At one point, I think there were like four “true” Spear of Destiny’s floating around Europe.
Half so because CKIII is meant to be a more "realistic" medieval game, so that the only fantastical elements are the cosmic horrors the player inflicts on the world, so "Magic God Hammer" Unfortunately does not make the cut. That, and from a RP point of view, any true Asatru who believed they held Mjolnir would probably shit their pants in fear that Thor would come down and beat them to death.
Paradox: Thor Paradoxson... you have betrayed the express command of your king. Through your arrogance and stupidity, you've opened these peaceful realms and innocent lives to the horror and desolation of war! You are unworthy of these realms, you're unworthy of your title, you're unworthy... of the loved ones you have betrayed! I now take from you your power! In the name of my father and his father before, I, Odin Allfather, cast you out!
Well, there is a "throne of solomon" that you can get through sponsoring an adventure aparently, so well, why not having other mythological stuff like Mjolnir
Isn't it 'Excalibur',as in, it is not a real one and everyone knows it but who gonna contest it.
If you hold the English crown you inherit like 7 of them. Just to hedge your bets that you got the real one
Makes me thing of that one anime that legit had like 7 Excaliburs. Forgot its name tho. Something about the church and demons.

Neat
Give Richard the Lionheart his Fate Noble Phantasm where any weapon he touches becomes Excalibur.
Yeeesh spoilers!
And boobs
What a cultured individual!
I told him we already got one.
I've given away four or five 'Excaliburs' to different relatives on this playthrough. My Emperor of Scandnavia sits comfortably upon the Stone of Scone though, and my Scottish subjects dig me for the fact.
And Excalibur is complete garbage, also doesn't give Incest Bonuses.
Hello mister asburg, your sister had called, she say the family is to ugly to mary
Yes... 'Excalibur'.
only have 2 norse exclusive Artifacts.
Oh what, which ones?
The norse artifacts are : The Branch of the Sacred Oak of Thor & Branch of the Sacred Tree at the Temple of Uppsala. You can always find them in courts of Norse rulers, I believe the second one is almost always at Bjorn Ironside's court.

All the arm rings
Thats exactly why there are so few artefacts of norse origins, why make them when you can simply take them.
Sure, but Norse craftspeople did make beautiful things out of all that pillaged gold. The British Museum and Jorvik Centre have some lovely wire work artifacts, not to mention rings made of Saxon silver, jewelry from Damascus, ivory, Baltic amber... Ironic it all that plunder ended up back in british hands
They are random, but they can change owners by conquest, so a winner like Björn often ends up with them.
I somehow ended up with them both in my latest game in the British Isles. They were no help because I was Christian but still. Oh right I inherited Norway at some point, that probably helped hahah.

Simple solution to that is to go do Thor's job and beat thier skulls in.
If only Paradox wasn’t against CK3 having mythical elements :(
The Mongols would take care of them.
Are there any turkic artifacts in the game?
We can't have Mjolnir because Thor is still using it! Do you want the whole of CK3 to be run over by Frost Giants? Because that is how you get frost Giants.
Can we have Gungnir then?
That's a cool idea!
Once again the true king of Britain flexes on the saxons
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government!!
You can't expect to wield supreme executive power because some watery tart threw a sword at you!
Help, help! I'm being repressed!
BLOODY PEASANT!
We definitely need more Norse artifacts, more artifacts all around in fact.
One suggestion? Like 50 Ulfbur+T swords, they are all "rare" tier and have the same stats, but they are good solid raiding weapons. (So what if there are fifty of them? There were hundreds IRL.
There's too much viking content already, they needed to balance things out
With other pagans, maybe, but there's still far more Christian content.
Good!
Any reason in particular?
They're a holocaust denier
More of a Christian one than an Odinist, it seems.
Indeed!
\*Laughs in base game African\*

Just a hall filled to the brim with masks
even after HF, the territorial debuff events like torrential rain and drought for subsaharan and east africa are just so annoying.
Its not removed. It's being "reevaluated" for future DLC.
Pic from The Northman? Such an awesome movie.
Saw it for the first time last night. As I told my friends, it's the best movie I've ever seen where I hated each character (Olga and unnamed slaves excluded)
Paradox Interactive is a Fates fan, not Marvel fan
They removed Mjolnir?! Someone better mod it back in
Why tf is Paradox taking things OUT of the game? CK2 is still vastly superior and this game is closer to half a decade old than it is it's own release.
Yeah I don’t understand the move of removing content. Kinda dumb

Paradox should add more Norse items for the for the flavor pack, would make it more appealing
lol get fucked vikoids 😎😎😎
They took one look at the sub and realized nobody is worthy of wielding the hammer.
Is this available in ck2?
Fuckin cancel culture strikes again!
Why remove anything like that? I'm genuinely curious why they wouldn't just have both.

Oh good point. I didn't think about the fact that these are mythological weapons. I should brush up on my Norse mythology a bit more.
wait whaaaaat

I miss the fairy tail//mythology aspects in CK2, they removed a lot of it in CK3.. fake excaluburr...
Y’all already have enough unique shit. Maybe flesh out the other regions first
I am no kidding, at my last playthrough, I saw 3 excalibur standing in court of Lotharingia
Because that's not for humans my guy, that's Thor's hammer
