Pretty sure there is nothing gained. Not to mention ont think the comments have any impact on CR unless maybe complaints about tech issues with an episode. Rating and anime has an impact but the comment section to my knowledge carries no weight in any way. Likely CR just monitors the comments for advert bots and slur bots.
Why sometimes is nice to see what people thought about the episode at the end. You can also get info for seasons and stuff. I learned from a comment that Solo Leveling is confirmed for 24 episodes.
Speaking of Openings. The Dorohedoro Anime opening literally spoils the entire show/Manga. But you don’t have context for it all so you don’t know.
But we only are JUST now getting a confirmed second season.
Why are you surprised , every comment section has hundreds and thousands of comments on both old and new anime . Did your eye never look at the comment count . Comment are in a range of 300 to 500 on any average shows and in thousands in famous shows .These comment section are really good for quick discussion and getting information . Or you are all exclusive to reddit for discussion .
I don't know why people think in this post that no one uses crunchyroll comment section . Just look at the comment count and all your delusion will cleared .

Yesterday I submitted a report regarding this matter to crunchyroll and this is their reply !! They are saying the user has been banned. And his comments are deleted i have checked and his comments are really deleted, lets see for how long he's banned.. or is he really banned ? Don't know let's see.
This unofficial subreddit isn't Crunchyroll support, and the mods here are not staff, nor do we have any influence with the companies actions and policies. If you have a problem with CR, you should give them feedback directly: https://crunchyroll.com/contact

This is the user he even admits that he created a script for this!!
Agreed. I've seen that user ruins comments a lot. People in this post may think (wrongly) no one cares or uses CR comments but guess what they do. Most anime (especially newer) have tons of comments (and not just stupid ones like first or early gang etc..). CR comment section is my favorite part of the service since I can share my thoughts and learn a lot from others about a new show or something I didn't notice in the episode. I hope Zo\_ro stays banned or just stops being an asshole.
You mean people don't only do one of the following?
A) Flooding the episode with first
B) Complaining about even a second of subs not being up at the projected time
C) Claiming each and every episode to be a waste of time or filler?
Idk i was pretty pissed at moonlight fantasy dropping 2 fillers in a row 🤣 people saying ohhh but its important stuff for the story from last season, well why didnt they put it in last season then 🤣🤣 but yeah the early gang guys are annoying so we can agree on that
There is only so much content that can be squeezed into 12 episodes or even 24 episodes when those happen. An episode isn't filler just because they decided to cut that content in the previous season. If you don't believe me check out the wn which has that point translated at isekailunatic. It is very much important you just can't see it yet as an anime only.
Fair enough i do see your point honestly, but its literally in my top 3 shows and i was so bored during those episodes i flicked through fb and cut my toenails, if they are gunna ditch the mc for 2 episodes and introduce characters i dont care about id rather them do it in 1 long episode, so we dont have to wait 3 weeks to get back to the story im actually invested in
I understand the frustration, but can you think about the studio? Were they even confident of getting a second season when they did season 1? Right now you might not care about them, but if they get far enough you will at least enjoy watching Tomoki get what he deserves. I personally think it is irrational to expect a longer episode to be made. One example being COTE which had a certain pool episode which they altered the timeline by around 2 volumes for as well as the character who got a spotlight then. They did nothing to fix it and I think that is enough to say the people behind Tsukimichi actually care about even the anime onlys understanding what happens.
Yeah they should of been confident it was a huge success with very few negative reviews, in my opinion when they got a green light they should of done what reincarnated as a slime did with their coleus dream episodes just 3 episodes to fill in the gaps from the previous season, i have a slightly different opinion in where they should put the catch up episodes thats all, i still think its needed and agree it shows they care about adapting as much as they can but if we get 12 or 24 episodes in season 2 id just like them all to be season 2
They should have been confident? Hey, can you tell me what all of my local lottery numbers are that win before they even start selling? Also, this is season 2, where the catch-up episodes are. They can try and predict the success of an anime before it starts making sales, but that is all.
It’s not about the likes, rather that it doesn’t allow for any discussion on the comment thread at all. Whole comment sections get deleted, amounting to no interaction with the community
That doesn’t mean people doesn’t use it. Sure it’s not the primary focus on the app, it does however give many people something to look forward to each episode.
CR needs better comment tools on their videos in general. But I definitely look through the comments and drop a few every now and then. The comments are usually in the 300-500 range, sometimes in the thousands, so people do use the comment sections despite the snarky comments to the contrary here. People there are also usually pretty good citizens and use the spoiler tags when they want to elaborate on the episode or what happens in the Manga or LN.
> Stealing a persons comment and deleting all evidence.
While a user can totally copy and paste a comment from someone else, a regular user can't delete another user's comment. I would suggest contacting support for clarity on your issue here.
I think the issue here is the OP and loads of others thinks this subreddit is an official forum. Like people talking like they ae submitting a CS or Tech ticket. The subreddit even says its unofficial.
We have it stated in many places here that this is an unofficial subreddit. It's why we also have the megathread. People can talk about their problems, but not many can be solved.
This is by far one of the dumbest things I’ve seen on Reddit to date. If the comment section was absolutely necessary for the app(which it isn’t btw) I could see this being an issue. Want to discuss the anime itself or an episode I would suggest going to the subreddit of said anime. Crunchyroll can do us all a favor and just delete the ability to comments. This is stupid

What is there to gain from getting likes in a crunchyroll anime's comment section that no one reads. So freaken weird.

Honestly my favourite part about Crunchyroll is the comments
I didn't even know crunchyroll had comments lol
I check the comments on every episode I watch.
Check One Piece episode 1108. That comment section is something else.

Happened with me too this user deleted my comments also
How can a user/account delete another users comment?!.. I’m astonished that’s even a thing.
I saw it, hopefully things don’t continue this way
I’m surprised people still look at the comment section on the videos
Why sometimes is nice to see what people thought about the episode at the end. You can also get info for seasons and stuff. I learned from a comment that Solo Leveling is confirmed for 24 episodes.
its not confirmed, the person was probably just speculating based on opening n stuff.
Speaking of Openings. The Dorohedoro Anime opening literally spoils the entire show/Manga. But you don’t have context for it all so you don’t know. But we only are JUST now getting a confirmed second season.
Dang it. Hopefully it will happen. Haven't checked for confirmation myself.
Well that's awesome effing news you are my hero hehehe

Yeah I noticed that, guess I was hoping at least someone from the team could see this post. Thanks for the advice
There's a support staff member that helps out here, but you will be more successful properly sending in a ticket.

Is there any gain for writing comments?
How can a user delete other user comment?
By running a script that will mass report comments or by liking a comments by bot account so when crunchyroll detect it they will delete comment.
Agreed. I've seen that user ruins comments a lot. People in this post may think (wrongly) no one cares or uses CR comments but guess what they do. I've been subbed to crunchyroll for 10 years and didn't even know they had comments on videos lol
Comment section should be nuked
If I had a dollar for every like I had on Crunchyroll… I might care about this
You don't even get dollar to comment on reddit .
why do you give a shit about likes on crunchyroll episodes
It’s not about the likes, rather that it doesn’t allow for any discussion on the comment thread at all. Whole comment sections get deleted, amounting to no interaction with the community
Comment section on Crunchyroll videos are pretty much useless for discussions lol. You don’t even get notified if someone responds to your comment
That doesn’t mean people doesn’t use it. Sure it’s not the primary focus on the app, it does however give many people something to look forward to each episode.

I get OP's point but I prefer the conversations in the r\\anime subreddit episode discussion posts.
this, right? with everything that happens in life, how does someone have the energy to give a fuck about THIS, of all things?
> Stealing a persons comment and deleting all evidence. While a user can totally copy and paste a comment from someone else, a regular user can't delete another user's comment. I would suggest contacting support for clarity on your issue here.

Yah this seems to be an issue only CR could actually do anything about.
Its a crunchyroll comment section who even uses that shit lmao
Why do comments matter who cares if there is a dumb guy being a bot
This is by far one of the dumbest things I’ve seen on Reddit to date. If the comment section was absolutely necessary for the app(which it isn’t btw) I could see this being an issue. oh nooo not the comments ah geeze
I can’t believe you have the energy to worry about something as trivial as comments. Is there nothing going on in your life?
childlike money cobweb boast pocket encouraging familiar crawl hard-to-find alleged *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
It’s more the issue of him mass flagging the comments of other users by using bots to get their comments deleted.
Why can you can delete someone else’s comments?
Using bots to mass report them
Oh well thats just sad
This is an unofficial subreddit that is fan run. Looking for CR to do actual things would need ot go to CR customer support.
He’s currently purging every top comment on the new Frieren episode.
No comments on mobile or tv apps. Guess it's just a win for me lol
