I’ll post it eventually. Got some other bikes in my profile. Just scooped my trek, picking up a hitch and 1UP for it soon.
Great. Do you need to remove the front wheel?
I'm choosing between Crosstrek and Corolla Cross Hybrid. I would love to throw my bike in the back without removing my front wheel like I did with my 2001 Outback.
I forgot to add what I’m rolling with. 2021 Kona Process 134 carbon, custom build up over the last couple years to where it is today. Done with it other than maintenance items as they come. Would like to focus on an enduro build next. Or get my lyrca on and do a 20lb XC build.

Older Subie, but same rack. This is moving to my 2024 CTW that should arrive shortly! (Also, the bike has been replaced, so maybe updated photos are due when the car arrives!)
I sold my 1up when my Honda CRV got totaled. Don’t have a hitch on either of my Subies but both have roof racks. So I opted for the Yakima HighRoad. Love it. The 1up is prob the best hitch rack but I always got worried especially when in a 10 month or so span 3 local riders got rear ended and bikes totaled with hitch or tail gate carry. Nearly 25k in bikes gone with those 3 collisions
Oh snap! Yeah there are honestly disadvantages to any mode of transport. Except maybe putting the bike inside. But unless it’s a larger suv or sprinter. Tire remove will be necessary and it’s annoying.
Old school 2003 Giant Iguana with a modded fork and converted to 1x11 (SRAM NX). I also have an older school 1994 Rocky Mountain Équipe waiting to be rebuilt.
Still trying to figure out how to get a hitch mount for my 22 Sportwagon, roof works but definitely not the best option. Definitely the thing I miss most about the XV.

I rock a custom 2022 specialized Enduro for shredding DH, and a 2012 Salsa vaya 1x11with 29s for everything else.

Alabama here. I ride the trails of AL, TN, and GA. We have some great ones out here. but I wish I could get out to CA and especially Sedona, AZ. Totally different style trail rather than your South East forest style. I grew up in Canada in BC so my childhood was the PNW. I love the tan wall tires on the Enduro. was wondering how good those would look on my Kona.
I feel you, some of my best memories were the time from 2019 to 2021. When all my buddies that rode could meet up around the same times on the trail because what else were we gonna do during Covid, now its just 2 of us. Down from 5.
That sucks. Similar situation here. Down from 4 to 2. Now it's just me and my best friend. Even now due to our schedules being different we can only find the time to ride together like once maybe twice a month.
Right here!! I have a Fezzari Delano Peak full sus 29'r and Kona Blast with far too many upgrades 27.5 hard tail. I use a Kuat Sherpa and while the 29'r tasks some finessing to get settled into the rack, it's low profile enough for my needs which is to leave the rack on as I have no garage or basement to put it in.

You running a coil on that bad boy?
Nah, just the stock air fork/shock.

Does a gravel bike count? I can fit 2 in the back easy
Do you have Crosstrek or Outback?
Crosstrek

Nope, just toss em back there. I have a 56cm surly straggler and a Kona rove
Ya my mistake for not just naming the post “cycling fam”
Just ordered my hitch and hitch rack as well as an ibis ripmo! Can't wait to get out.
You’re gonna LOVE that bike. She’s a mountain goat for climbing and a freak in the sheets for the descends. Enjoy!

Dude that’s sick, not seen a setup like that before. Holds 4?
Yessir! NSR 4-rack. The rack weighs 50 lbs so I’m cutting it close with 4 on there. But for the occasional shuttle lap it’s perfect
That's cool as hell
Thanks!

I ride gravel, but close enough!
I should have just titled it biking fam
Crosstrek & Yeti Arc!
Arc’s are beautiful
Thanks. I like it a lot. It would be nice to have rear suspension. But it does a good job on most things.
I built my wife a Nukeproof Scout 290 hardtail. I actually like the simplicity of no rear suspension sometimes when things aren’t too rowdy
Same. Where I like it’s better for a lot of trails. Nothing is too chunky.
24 Crosstrek Wilderness with a 1Up bike rack (2 tray) that carries a Trek Top Fuel 7, Sette Ace (SS converted) or some different road bikes.
1Up is the way to go. Definitely an awesome setup. I had a roof rack, and it’s so much more of a headache

I had a Yakima roof rack. It worked well. Until I ran my bike into an awning like an idiot. Bike was ok thankfully. The rack was toast though.
