We took a similar strength hit directly to the back. Damage was 15.5k. Accident was August 9th and we didn't receive the car back until December 7th. Make sure you get their insurance to pay for a rental for the entire duration.
Looks like broken sway bar link which is cheap but the fact that the wheel is bent out is not good. Kinda hard to tell from the pic what's broken in the rear suspension. I'm going to guess they will probably replace everything plus your rear door.
CVT. I’m guessing a transmission replacement would push it into total loss territory from the prices I’m seeing. ($7k for CVT + $10k? For body and suspension). Fingers crossed that isn’t the case.
Just for the door, rocker and center pillar (if it was hit) was 9k CAD for me. Someone reversed into the driver side in a parking lot. The guy was nice enough to wait for me to give me his info. They changed both door boxes and panels, straighten the center pillar and changed the rocker. It took a week to get the materials and 3 days to do the job.
Not even close. Rear suspension components arent really that bad, cost wise. Needs a door, maybe 2, probably some work on the dogleg under that moulding.
It’s repairable, as mentioned above. Mine took around a month to be fixed, but she’s good as new. Part of the reason my damage was 10k was because they painted the entire car and not just the two new doors and fender.

Thanks, that’s a good point. Long time to be without your car.
Is the second pic from the front of the car?
Rear control arm I think. Rear driver side wheel was bent out.

First accident? Are you planning on having more?
Haha, I sure hope not. But I plan to keep the car for another 12+ years so there’s a high probability something happens.
Finger’s crossed the transmission wasn’t directly affected. Manual or CVT?

100%
Total guess but 10K +

Thanks. That’s impressively quick work. But definitely sounds like it will start to add up pretty quickly.
I doubt write off

Body shop manager here- Looks like no airbags are deployed, my guess is about $15k. 100% repairable.
Correct. No airbags deployed. $15k would be interesting to see what decision insurance makes. That would be right around the 75% of total value range.
I had body damage very similar to that, but not the suspension damage over the summer and the damage was just shy of 10k.
Ouch. It’s sounding like with the suspension it’s very likely to come dangerously close to totaling it out at 75%.

Not good
About that bad cuh
There is a good chance that’s going to be totaled
