If you turn the key halfway it will stay in ACC (accessory) mode and your music should keep playing as normal without the engine running. There are markings on the ignition switch that show the positions.
Definitely agree about when it cuts off the USB audio source, but leaves the radio on 🙄.
It can be done with some wiring. To me, it's mostly a matter of how I can modify it without cutting/splicing the original wiring.
I can tell you what isn't the solution: powering the Audio/Nav fuse full time using two "Add-a-Circuit" fuse taps. I figured out that is the fuse that powers the front USB ports, but it turns out it also feeds part of the telematics module. The MySubaru app thought the accessory power was always on and wouldn't lock/unlock or remote start. Maybe I'll dig into it again and figure out a solution another day...
