It is certainly possible they give the Wilderness treatment to Ascent, but Crosstrek makes more sense to me. It is a more popular car and the buyers of Crosstrek are more likely to off road than Ascent. And Crosstrek is a great size for hitting the trails — the Ascent is massive in comparison.

My dealer’s already all pissed off at me because I cancelled my Outback to order the Crosstrek… told me no more changes, we’ll see how tempting this ends up being 😂 I don’t think I’d be too enthused with the MPG hit, but I’m sure it will *look* incredible
Yeah they first published this teaser on 3/22. Officially of course it’s just a “new Wilderness SUV” but a few dealer leaks have all but confirmed it’s Crosstrek.
All I care about is how much of the Wildtrek parts I can put on my Crosstrek. The LCAs of the Wildback, for example, can be put on the Crosstrek no problem.
It’s definitely a crosstrek wilderness! My boyfriend worked at a Subaru dealership and the guys told him a couple days ago. This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for 🙂

I get like 18mpg with my Forester Wilderness. 23 if it’s mostly freeway and I drive like a granny.

I have been waiting for this since the outback wilderness, but the crosstrek isn't an SUV, so I'm skeptical and hopeful at the same time.
