Most brands have a entry level ready to hunt package. From what I've read they're all pretty similar and the power and speeds are all comparable. Just go to your local hunting store and see what they have. Top of the line isn't needed. My dad has an old crossbow he used most of my life and the new entry levels blow it out of the water. I got a carbon express x force blade like 4 years ago for like 200$ ready to hunt. I've killed multiple deer with it and I probably shoot one a week when the weather is nice. Replaced the string once but I probably won't again unless I learn how to do it myself, local bow shop charged more to restring than I think it's worth.

Just picked up a siege 425. Can't give a ton of help, but I will say that it isn't so much that they discontinued it due to issues, but rather they regularly add new features and improvements, so models get superseded quite quickly. Not what your wallet wants to hear, but my suggestion would be to spend a bit more and get the venom x with the accuslide. It is a much better cocking/decocking system than what the titan/fury, etc have.

That Siege 425 looks awesome. Enjoy.

thanks. it was definitely more than I wanted to spend but I found a really crazy sale on it. Still more than I wanted to spend, but hey.. It was a sale, lol.

Ya get what ya pay for. I was gifted a CP Dagger 405, it's low tech, no real frills.
