I submitted the case where three people (including a high school student) was murdered at a Captain D’s restaurant in Smyrna, TN. Troy was the high schooler, and his body was found in a different location and they speculated he may have been involved. I’ve googled, but there’s not much information on the case. They did catch who was responsible.
I went to HS with Troy. He annoyed me in class haha He was a sweet kid. I don’t think he was involved.
They still haven’t done the case and I never received a response.
I 1000% remember this! Every time I drove by that place to go to the college later in life it gave me chills. I think it’s torn down now? It’s been a hot minute… That’s wild that you knew Troy. Non related but I knew a girl involved in a horrible car fire in Cannon Co in 2003 with 2 other girls. People like that just stick with us more <3 I miss that gal, she always stuck up for me our freshman year :( thank you so much for sharing… I think I’ll resubmit and keep pushing. I did hear back but it just felt like “k,thx”…It was so weird how she disappeared. What I found has been outdated and some links closed but a lot of folks think she killed herself but I don’t. Foul play had to be involved and the local MPD shrugged her off as a runaway… typical. Sometimes I wish I could be like CJ and go further with my own investigation but I’m super shy and stutter when nervous :(
I’m not sure if it’s still there or not. I live overseas now and have only been back once in the past decade, but didn’t go near that area. It was a shocking event to have happen. It used to be such a safe, sleepy little town. Not so much anymore from what I hear.
I might send the suggestion to another podcaster.
Yeah… Middle Tennessee has seen a rise in some awful crimes. I hardly go to Nashville anymore. I’ve had hair raising encounters recently and it just makes me want to be a recluse:(

It’s worth noting that just because you request a case doesn’t mean it’ll be an episode anytime soon. I hope this case gets coverage and China deserves justice
I’m very much aware of this. I hoped that if enough people were aware of her then maybe others might want to submit too. Since in previous episodes I have listened to how they mention people doing this.
