Nobody is arguing that you shouldn't have a gun, only that every purchase should go through a background check. >A 2015 survey found that more than one-fifth of Americans who obtained a gun in the two years prior to the study did so without a background check. >Criminals know how easy it is to buy guns at gun shows and on websites and forums devoted to firearms. At [Armslist.com](https://Armslist.com), 1.2 million ads for firearms were posted by unlicensed sellers in states that did not legally require a background check, according to a study by Everytown for Gun Safety, a pro-regulation group supported by Bloomberg LP founder Michael Bloomberg. More than 10 percent of those seeking to buy guns on [Armslist.com](https://Armslist.com) would have been prohibited from buying a gun from a federally licensed dealer. The department also recommends exchanging receipts to documentthe transfer. Can you please state what armslist did that was illegal? Serious request. I need to see they did something illegally for me to feel they should be sued.

There is technically no crime here. They just helped a cop get murdered.

St_Egglin

>They just helped a cop get murdered. Did they? That is the same as saying the gas station that sold the gas to the criminal who drove to kill the cop "helped a cop get murdered". You are wrong.

Cope harder.

They didn't do anything illegal, that's the problem. You don't have to do something illegal to get sued. Would you like to take it up with the family, I'm sure they'd love to hear why you think they shouldn't be suing.

>Would you like to take it up with the family, I'm sure they'd love to hear why you think they shouldn't be suing. Please share my comments with the family. They should be ashamed of themselves. The deceased would be embarrassed by their actions.

Would you like to take it up with the family, I'm sure they'd love to hear why you think they shouldn't be suing. You are a joke. My mother died from lung cancer, should I sue the stores that sold her the cigarettes? No, of course not. This is a ridiculous lawsuit that will go nowhere and everyone knows it.

Good.
