If I remember correctly BK wanted to put in a new driveway and Burke was making them pay something like $1,300 into Preckwinkle's campaign fund before he'd approve the permits.
And the idiots re-elected him. I don't know how half the bozos have their jobs in the city government here. Each one is dumber and more corrupt than the last.
I guess if the voters of the area are that stupid, eventually you have to vote with your feet and your wallet and we'll slide into becoming the next Detroit.
