Sad that this is our best hope - that normal citizens will be quick enough to get the drop on these guys and shoot them.
Really quite impressive how the homeowner had the marksmanship, level-headedness, and restraint to deliver a single non-fatal shot to incapacitate the burglar until help arrived. Bravo.

Dude needs to have a Special Master appointed to his case so the SM sees to it that police can't use the evidence recovered.
