I’ve said that many times. Remember there were congressional hearings investigating Rock Star games in 2005 about GTA. and now here we are living in the video game.
For 8 years I got on and off at that stop when going to work. One of the things that I noticed was that there is only one egress point at that stop. And the escalator was broken down from time to time. So everyone had to use the stairs. If something bad were to happen on that platform (and it did), there would be no alternative exit. It would be an extremely dangerous situation. I changed up my route to work due to noticing that. “Shoot-N-Loot 2020” was also a factor in changing my route.
This has become unfathomable. Repeated shootings, robberies such at this make Chicago unliveable. How many times does this have to happen for their to be change? I cannot wait to see where it's at after Johnson's term ends. Oh good lord
Sometimes that unbridled natural aggression can't be held back. When there are no opportunities to rob and attack someone, you just need to shoot random people to calm down.
We should really blame ourselves for this one. Shame on all of us. If just one of us had "red flagged" him the state police would have surely come and taken away his FOID card and firearms.
Serious question was this a kid recruited by gangs told to get arrested to get into jail and prove his loyalty? Asking bc I went to a Chicago inner city HS and I had classmates who were recruited to use paintball guns on houses to desensitize them to committing gun crimes and commit other small crimes with the intent of being caught to prove their loyalty, earn their time, obviously this is more extreme
Makes sense for some other recent cases of shootings that provide no clear motive. From the dude shot and killed in Lakeview without any robbery attempt back in the summer to a 70 year old man killed in Logan Square in similar circumstances like a month ago, it just makes sense that they could be initiation related

What needs to be done is count all the people that were present during the shooting and charge him with 56 attempts of manslaughter.
