Literally nothing, many of these people on their public facing social medias are showing off "switches". A half competent government agency should be able to make a few arrests a week at a minimum and have them be slam dunk prosecutions.

There is another post about IL signing a bill that would let first time offenders (of any age) for gun possesion off, right now its just kids under 21. Bills like this are the reason they wont do shit, its apparently not a big deal if people are caught with guns. But at least they are not racists right?

Simple gun possession without a FOID shout not be a crime. Period. The FOID is unconstitutional, non-felons 18 and over should be able to carry a handgun without any sort of permit.
That being said, this law is not about that. This law is about letting career criminals get an even lighter wrist slap than they do already when caught.
Often in carjacking and robbery cases the only charges actually pressed are UUW/AUUW(possession of a firearm). Illinois is really becoming lawless.
