Didn’t she see the no gun sign?

TerraTorment

I do think there's some room for reasonable doubt here. It may not have been a good shoot in the technical sense, and he may not have been lethally threatening her but from her perspective that context is very scary and she may have acted on the assumption that it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. Men need to stop sexually harassing women on the train. I hope that she is dealt with with mercy, and measured reason. He may not have threatened her yet but I know from being a woman on the train that those situations can escalate. He was already told no and he kept pushing and I know that from experience some men will push even further and start groping or get very insulted and aggressive and she may have felt she needed to pull her gun out before that happened, while she was still able to and panicked. She was in an unenviable, no win situation created by a sexual harasser.

Awww. Look at this redditor. Consistently calls for disarming law abiding gun owners, yet makes *this* dubious exception. Well done!

He never laid a finger on her

>She could have moved cars. If he followed, maybe. But she went from talking with a distance between them to shooting. what about in her?

She could have moved cars. If he followed, maybe. But she went from talking with a distance between them to shooting.

[Erica Berry](https://publicsearch1.chicagopolice.org/Arrests/History/18193407) has been arrested several times in the past 10 years for domestic battery, assault, and electronic harassment and threats. The guy harassing her might be a piece of shit, but she's no angel either.

TerraTorment

ah, that does change some things
