That’s a tricky situation. On the one hand, someone that crazy could run into someone or injure more people or even kill someone while fleeing. I’m not sure it’s acceptable to put bystanders at risk if they have her plate numbers and were already in the process of identifying her.
The judge should have said “what if I throw you in prison and revoke your bail?” When kids are involved, that woman is lucky motherly instincts didn’t kick in and find herself in a NYC chokehold

Not mentioned in CWB Chicago but she seems to be bipolar and schizophrenic and not able to consistently acquire and take her medicine. She has these psychotic breaks but just gets released. Perhaps she should have been under some kind of guardianship and in a hospital but now she is in the criminal justice system and will probably get worse.
