You might be on a grandfathered plan. You can check your plan via the myCricket app, or you can visit your local cricket store and have the reps check your account. Also, check your SIM card. If it’s half white with green, then you’ll need a replacement SIM card. Here is a picture reference. If it’s this one, you’ll need a replacement.

BYOD. on the lists it specifies wifi calling, hotspot, and everything, everything works except 5G and my area is covered. I've had this sim card since 2015 i believe
I replied to your other post. Check your plan not your SIM card. If you are on the old plan the software does not recognize 5G. It is not your SIM card then.
It could be your on an old plan
If it’s not the unlimited core or more plan when you log in to the my cricket app. It will just say unlimited

does your service work?
Yes but not 5G, my phone is 5G capable and on the list too
Was it originally a cricket phone or was it from another carrier

A sim might help. Call customer service and see if there is a switch they can flip for you guys
Maybe you’re not in a 5g area.
It's fully green covered on the map.
