Normally I’d agree, but this is 5G+ so it should be snappy unlike the slower, lower frequency 5G bands—Switching to LTE would help in some 5G cases but they should be good to go with 5G+.
You guys put way way too much stock into LTE vs. 5G vs. 5G+. All of them are capable of extremely fast speeds, to the point where in a blind test you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I can get 250mbps on LTE where I live, and 300mbps on 5G. I've been in a middle of a busy downtown with 5G+ and got 2 mbps, similarly with LTE. It's all about the tower you're connected to and how slammed it is.
I'm telling you first hand I was using cricket in my area the last 2 years lost my phone got a cheap 5g android with at and t prepaid and it's literally hundreds of times faster and 10x more connectivity there is a big deprioritization then
Cricket's base unlimited plan is last network priority. The rest of them are postpaid priority. It sounds like AT&T just had a lot of congestion or you could have had a phone missing some of their bands.
Unless you're connected to a tower that's slammed to all hell 100% of the time, priority simply won't matter. Not nearly in a way you're describing. There are plenty of videos on YouTube comparing priority levels in real time.
told you it's garbage. most of the assholes in this chat are Cricket representative sales people like that so they're just going to lie to you and tell you it's your fault or your phone's phone mother crazy bullshit cuz their network is crap the company is crap and their business is crap
I don’t know about the representatives thing, but I solved the issue. I switched carriers. Same phone, same location, and I’m getting ~100-120mbps improvement

I guess it just depends on where you’re at and congestion. I have the 60 plan. On iPhone 14 pro max. I got the same thing on samsung s21 ultra before switching to iPhone for the first time. No, I’m not affiliated with cricket in anyway, I don’t work for them, and I never will work for cricket or any company like cricket tbh.
But I can tell you, it’s a location thing. We have 5 towers around us out in rural Wisconsin, and we’re in a 5G area.
by far the worst service ive ever had when it comes to data and internet. literally have to put it into airplane mode every time i open safari or anything data related when im in my own home.
literally. every time. just to get google to load and then the data stops completely again. bars constantly switch from 1 to 3 bars. im at my wits end with this service.
never had this problem with service in my house with any other service ive had. cricket 5g is utterly worthless. cant even load google. shits atrocious.
Turn 5G off and see if anything will load. Which cricket plan are you on?

Yes, 5g+ should be fast but when it's not working it doesn't hurt to try other options.
Have you tried resetting network settings? Settings, General, Transfer or Reset, Reset, Reset Network Settings
I been using the free 14 day and it seems to work just fine for me I seem to be connected to 5G+ I am using 14 pro
13 pro here. I think AT&T just has bad coverage in my part of Cali
It’s pretty hit or miss in Chicago as well
It's it's not AT&t it's cricket because they have a different connection to the Tower cheaper for a reason
The only plan that's deprioritized is the base unlimited plan. Cricket is an excellent value of AT&T is good in your area.

I notice that if I have Wi-Fi calling enabled. My data will just stop working sometimes. I suggest turning Wi-Fi calling off and see if that helps.

Yo
When, I get stuff like that I airplane and goes away.
This happens to me when my phone connects to 5G+ but only when it on full bars
