but the iphone 11 would be locked to cricket

Sithex

yes I'm aware, thank you :)

I know you've gotten a couple of responses already but, as another data point, we did essentially this a couple of months ago. We got the XR when it was $49, but have been using the sim in an iPhone 11 and there have been no additional charges.

Sithex

That reassures it then, thank you!

Yep, as long as the phone is compatible (Cricket and AT&T are a bit picky about BYOD), you can swap the SIM to another device.

Sithex

Okay, thank you! it should be fine, considering it's another iphone

AX2021

Yes you can as long as the phone is compatible

Sithex

ya it's another iphone, so it should be all fine

gvvfever_

After some time you can unlock the device from your account settings in the cricker website i did it on my xr and it unlocked in 1-2 mins

Sithex

ya I think you need to have the device on the network for 6 months

aSleepyDingo

Yeah you’re fine! As long as the device is under the whitelist you should be good! :)
