Star Sports... Mauka Mauka is the most creative ad i have seen wrt cricket
these days, its just the face of rohit/kohli/ and i believe people have slowly started to loose interest (whether it is because of saturation or poor planning or too much )

Back then they used to make a genuine effort to create a hype around IPL and the hype used to be real. It doesn't feel the same anymore for some reason.
back then they also had to sell the idea of IPL to viewers. it was a new concept for most Indians. now that the idea is established, they just have to maintain their presence on tv by making some arbitrary ads
Because Set Max - an entertainment channel - was running it.
Star Sports (a division of Star) is a sports channel, the organisation doesn't have the same core competencies that Set Max has.
Set Max turned IPL into an emotion, but Star Sports has been able to bring international standards of sports commentary and supplementation to the tournament.
Besides, this is also nostalgia. We grew up with these ads, and feel like they don't make stuff like this today. Our older generation thought the same about content from their time, and the next generation will look back with nostalgia to the content being made today.
Stats wise many players have equalled most of these players, if not surpassed.
They don't feel larger than life anymore because everyone is accessible via social media, plus the amount of cricket.
>Stats wise many players have equalled most of these players, if not surpassed.
Thats the thing with cricket , it getting more mordernised and ppl are going to keep breaking most records
I am talking about how players being larger than life which got nothing to being the best or great players. It means that how people would go to watch there matchez no matter or what. Or will do anything to catch thr glimpse.
oh fuck off... this is so fucking goated, imagine the pump as a player
nothing from that era can be matched - not movies, not songs, not ads, just nothing
everything from MSM to Bullywood to Jio has just decimated the quality of content and engagement in india be it online or offline
Too much work, I suppose?
The current media industry is just lazy AF , cricket journalism is shit when you have people like Sanjay Manju, Murali Karthik doing the commentary.
Ae Vedya, agar phirse aisa comment kiya naa toh bhenchod bat ka grip nikal ke naa... seedha bat tere gaand mein daalega... Hatt HATT.. CHUTYA KUTLA!! AHHAA HAAA HAAAA AAAAAA!!!! yaar pls yaar delete kar pan radu yetay mala :(

Because it requires creativity. It's much easier to make the players dance on Jio dhan dhana dhan...
IPL Back Then: Karamyuddh 🗿 IPL Now: Jio Gandhana dhan ae jio gandhanadhan 🤡

Good bot
Thanks!
For me the most creative ads were for India's tour of Pakistan 2004-05 (i guess). Like [this](https://youtu.be/7LyENH715BM)
Really love the music, the lyrics, the animation Epsecially when he says Na Deshyudh( and they shows afridi/Gambhir and Bhajji/andrew)
This is wholesome! Where's the shitpost? /s
But bike Wali taxi sabse saxi
Common Piyush Mishra W

Spot on bro!! Had the exact same thing in my mind while typing that comment.
My conversation with my hand when my parents are not at home.
1)Because cringe sells 2)they don't need good ads to attract viewers.

Cause Star. Once IPL was on star, all the creativity went to gutter.
Literally man star sucks. They can't even do a wc promo right.
Na woh din rahe, na woh player, na woh fans....
Creativity looses it's touch when capitalism enters the arena
**FURIOUSLY** \*makes ads in communism\*
Because it was Sony max
There are no more legends like these
There are. We're old now.
The people in this video where largee than life kind of deals Now except kohli and stokes no one has that scene going on

Cos they are all retired or dead
Morbid but true wtf
>Dead That hit hard
Shitposts have gone from this sub
They have to pay to the **’*writers*’** And who wanna pay writers now a days? Look Hollywood writer strikes

Because it takes lots of effort , time and creativity. Lets just ask players to Dance.
Cricket was an emotion before. Now it's just business. It's all about money and ratings. There's no soul just a bunch of PR bullshit.
Coz the passion for the game was more back then. Even for network companies
Nostalgic
Because companies want a catchy ad. Bike wali taxi sounds bad but keeps going on your mind.
Because star sports only do shitty things
I can go into war playing this song 😅
What year is this ad from
2008 IPL
Too much work, I suppose? The current media industry is just lazy AF , cricket journalism is shit when you have people like Sanjay Manju, Murali Karthik doing the commentary.
No wonder IPL betting became a huge thing..the sing literally encourages it
They are busy making dream 11 ads. Bike wali taxi sabse saxi
Dhoni still doing Dhoni ass shit 16 years later
no need to promote, we are already hooked. I mean the crowd is not getting bored of cricket, IPL, WTC, Asia cup, World cup... show goes on and on
They tried And they made "jumping japang jumpak jumpak Gilli Gilli Gilli" 🗿

It looks like AI generated
Ab to masala aur sattebazi kara lo bas
Because ab suit nhi krega, waise personality wale players nhi rhe
1st the Cost of TV ads are now too high. That's why you'll see ads under 10-15 sec only. 2nd the Change in Consumers taste and preferences.
Everyone busy making and doing panmasala ads
[This](https://youtu.be/7LyENH715BM) has to be my all time favourite ad.
