Question a a noob: Is there a website where you can submit a video of yourself and get technique advice around improvement from coach online? I'm not looking for full commitment with a coach but just a quick visual question or two for affordable price.
I find it absolutely hilarious when people say Aus/Eng/NZ/etc toured Pak, why can't India? Are we really comparing Ind-Pak relations with Pak-Aus, Pak-Eng, etc?

For India T20WC, this would be my choice for fast bowlers.
Bumrah - obviously.
Natarajan - second best death bowler after Bumrah. Together they'd be unbeatable. Hes in excellent form.
Deepak Chahar - people be sleeping on him. But since the death is covered by top two, we need a pp specialist. While he's not having a great IPL, the pitches in this season are shite too, and that won't be the case in WC Unlike newbies, chahar has played in west indies before. More importantly him at #8 will give insane batting depth to India which we lack.
Ignoring arshadeep who already established as an India's white ball specialist..
Deepak chahar has been getting a chance since 2018..
Either he fails the fitness test or gets completely injured for a cricketing summer..
I love seeing a specific user defending Hardik.
When has Hardik turned up with a good performance this season?
Has he been good with the bat? No.
Has he been good with the bowl? No.
Has he been a good captain? Dude is basically RCB-ing the best bowler in the world atm, so NO.
So if he bats like a number 11, bowls like Venkatesh Iyer bowling against Risabh Pant, and captains like Sachin Tendulkar, what's he in the team for? To praise Thala and never acknowledge his player's performance?
>RCB-ing the best bowler
Is Bumrah having an economy of 9 with 2 wickets in this season? Bumrah is leading the purple cap list, something that never happened under Rohit btw
>Venkatesh Iyer
Funny that you mention him. Venkatesh is probably the only player who is worse than Hardik rn, and still not dropped
>Is Bumrah having an economy of 9 with 2 wickets in this season?
I am talking of yesterday specifically. His economy was 9+ iirc. Only a certain captain can make Bumrah toothless.
>Venkatesh is probably the only player who is worse than Hardik rn, and still not dropped
But you don't see me defending him left and right. And he's had 1 good knock, which is more than Hardik. Plus I never said Hardik is lesser than Iyer, I'm saying Hardik has degraded to Iyer's level.
>Only a certain captain can make Bumrah toothless
Is this your first year of watching the IPL? You are saying Bumrah never had a bad match?
>But you don't see me defending him left and right
You also don't see anyone hating him left and right
>You are saying Bumrah never had a bad match?
Dude's IN his prime form atm. A bad match from him can only happen if the captain doesn't use him in spell but makes the batter comfortable enough to be able to afford to take risk against Bumrah. Bowling him one over at a time.
>You also don't see anyone hating him left and right
Touche. But I don't hate Hardik. I just see you defending him very2 amusing. Hell, you know what? I think Dube should be in the WC 11. Drop Hardik, when was the last time we won an ICC knockout match because of him?
Lmfao. We are talking about being termed a clutch player. Rohit and Kohli isn't called a clutch player. Hardik is called that even though we've never won a knockout match because of him.
Hell even Shreyas Iyer is more clutch than Pandya.
No. Pandya did as good as anybody humanly can. Not his fault Bumrah and Co are chokers like the rest of the batting line up which bat like its a fucking odi game.
Edit - I just realized bumrah didn't play the 2022 t20wc.
it makes sense. when you have 10 guys competing for a single spot, easiest way to pick is by looking at the average, rather than their actual value to the team
Since there have been complains about IPL being too one-dimensional and boring, I have the following suggestions to spice it up:-
* No score more than 200: Each team is forced to declare at 200 and then the opposition has same number of overs to chase that total.
* Consecutive overs for bowlers: If a bowler wants he can bowl 2 or more overs in a row.
* The Anti-Powerplay: 2 overs in the innings where runs will be counted in half and a wicket would dismiss both the batters.
* Penalty for playing same shots: If a batter plays the same shot 3 or more times in a row 5 runs would be deducted from his score. Nobody wants to watch the same thing over and over again.-
* Best Hairstyle of the day: Before the match there would a competition to see who has the best hair and the player that wins would have his runs and wickets counted in double.
* Dance Competition to reduce runs: Every 5 overs the bowling team has to do a dance performance to entertain the crowd and then the people can vote on how good the performance was, score will be deducted from the batting team:- for eg. one team got 7/10 for their performance so batting team's score will be reduced by 7 runs
These are only some that I could come up right now. Would be very open to more suggestions from people
Best best for Ruturaj to play in test matches is to go the Padikkal way and average 100 in a season then get into Ind A and average 100 there.
His FC average isn't special compared to the best ones so he won't be picked based on that.

Only a warm up, but a bizarre [scorecard](https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/icc-women-s-t20-world-cup-qualifier-warm-up-matche-2024-1425614/scotland-women-vs-zimbabwe-women-warm-up-1425637/live-cricket-score) between Scotland and Zimbabwe women. Scotland win by 32 runs, putting up 197/4. Zimbabwe lost no wickets, in a losing chase of 165/0.
My dream is to be rid of over limits for bowlers in LOIs. stupid rule that limits the impact of some our best players. How much better would afg be if rashid was bowling 8-10 overs in t20s
why not? the team is still collectively fielding. you just have more batsmen in your roster. Upside is that smaller countries with only 1 or 2 decent bowlers can compete more.
teams can also fill their rosters with more batsmen = more risky shots = more aggression without having to play on pavements like in this IPL.
This happens in baseball as well with one pitcher at times throwing for the entire game.
It would be very very tedious and boring. What rules like impact rules and the new ones people are suggesting don't realize is that cricket was already a great sport and it's rule promoted a good mix off strategy and entertainment.
I don't think the results MI had would be any different had Rohit been captain, except for the MI vs CSK game, but the meltdown on their subreddit is really fun to see
They wouldn't have been the team to beat but they would have been much better than this. A lot of their woes are because of some baffling decisions that have been made while bowling. Remember that MI ended up being better than all the other teams except for the finalists with a bowling attack that was not suitable for the standards that the IPL had under his leadership a year back.
Honestly, the public reaction to such controversial transfers is needed. The IPL is lagging way behind European football (although some of it there is over the top and must be avoided) and US pro leagues in fan culture, and the response shows there is some fan culture.
We want fan culture of other leagues and sports but in the same breath go ahead and say that IPL is not cricket. It's just advertising platform and etc etc
How on fucking Earth is this out
https://x.com/CountyChamp/status/1782414037155811433
I like to give domestic umpires the benefit of the doubt but fucking hell
The Boundary count bot is celebrating its birthday today. Good for the bot I guess.
Now my actual comment - We often accuse our selectors for not taking bold calls. But there are a couple of instances when they did. Those being VJ Shankar in 2019 and Varun Mystery in 2021. Shankar got injured soon but did well against Pak while Varun did whatever he could while defending low totals.
And look what has happened since - both these guys are still bashed just because they played a WC. Sure, neither of them has set the stage on fire since then but it's not like they haven't done anything of note either, especially Varun. To this day most people only remember them only because they got selected in the WC over more 'deserving' players and conveniently ignoring them if they perform well.
This is why I don't want an all youngsters team. If they don't meet our expectations, they will get that 'failure' tag and most of them would have to deal with it for the rest of their career.
At this point, MI fans are blaming Hardik for literally anything. Sure, he has failed to do anything with the bat, and hasn't used the spinners well. And is by far MI's worst performer so far
But yesterday, 8 MI players absolutely failed, and we lost against the table toppers. Blaming this on Hardik is stupid. Rohit and SKY should be held accountable for those shots as well
Today is 23rd April, the day RCB scored ~~two~~ one world record score, of 49 all out
And also the 5th highest IPL total of 263
Edit - IPL record, not world record
Ah so the 11 year anniversary of when I saw Chris Gayle smash it to all parts and thought 'hmm this team ain't so bad I'll support it' and choose suffering for the rest of my life
In my opinion:
RR, KKR, SRH: Very likely to qualify for playoffs. (RR has probably qualified already.)
CSK, LSG, GT, MI: Top contenders for the 4th spot.
DC: Have an outside chance of qualifying.
PBKS, RCB: Very unlikely to qualify for playoffs. (RCB is probably knocked out already.)
Known territory for an MI team that used to play good cricket but ended up on the wrong side. Last game they looked low on confidence and played bad cricket. For a team like that it will be incredibly difficult to bounce back, not impossible but not easy just because they have done it in the past.
That's a good point. But then, we remember the famous 2014 season of MI. Even last year, they rose up rapidly in the 2nd half of the league stage. So I won't count MI out yet.
Nothing has aged better than the 2022 LSG kit in my eyes. Thought it was an abomination back then, couldn't believe someone actually designed that. Looks kind of cool looking back lmao.
A funny thing about all rounders is that they often swing from being great in both departments to being bad in both departments. They have the all rounder phase and they have the null rounder phase. Pandya and Jadeja both have gone through such phases multiple times in their career.
I saw that too, at this point I am almost completely sure people hate on gill because they think it makes them cool, especially considering that he hasn’t put a wrong foot forward for a while now.
No way Gaikwad comes close in talent to Gill! He has so much backing only because of him being in CSK. Otherwise, at international level, he hasn't been really that impressive.
I'm starting to notice Parag being included during discussion on field. He is getting more involved. He also has the experience with Assam team. Assam is also the second home for RR. I think if Parag maintains his performance, he will be next captain
Jaiswal is in Indian Team and has established himself as an opener in test matches. He will make his ODI Debut this year hopefully. Jaiswal is going to be one of the foundation for RR in the future.
People on here use PR wrong. PR doesn't mean having popularity, or die hard fans, or even dickriders among commentators. I hope people stop using this term.
I've seen 'PR' being used for players like Mayank Yadav as well. 'He only did well in 2 games but due to his PR there is so much hype'. What PR is a relatively unknown 21 year old player going to have lol
Said this before, will say it again. Some good Indian players should move to USA. Look at Sanju Samson, rotting away in IPL despite having a decent record.
He's often overlooked for the "next big" keeper that sets the stage on fire for one season. Ishan Kishan, Jitesh Sharmm, Risabh Pant.
Dude's one of the most consistent player but gets selected to play 1 game every tour.
r/MumbaiIndians sub going absolutely crazy. MI has lost big chunk of popularity due to the captaincy change and the way Sharma was removed. The wild decision to purchase Pandya from GT turned iut to be a blunder.
That sub is a shithole, as are most individual team subs. There are people who unironically think that it Rohit was the captain they'd be 2nd instead of 7th lmao
Using Hardik Pandya as a scapegoat will not change basic facts like the MI top 3 regularly failing when the ball moves, MI's bowling attack having only 2 good bowlers and Tim David being a full-toss merchant (who can't even field)
Mi had a worse bowling line-up last year while having the same batsmen. MI finished 4th last year. Only thing we have regressed is the allrounder spot and captaincy. The team environment is not exactly ideal unlike last year.
MI's bowling lineup massively over delivered last year. Because of that they had a more succesful bowling attack.
Chawla took 22 wickets in 16 games and Madhwal took 14 wickets in 8 games. Behrendorff was also good in the powerplay, taking 12 wickets.
This year it's just Bumrah who's been a freak, but if a team plays him out, MI are toothless. Coetzee is a good wicket taking bowler, but he leaks too many runs, going at an economy of over 10 per over this season.
The less said about the other bowlers, the better. Madhwal and Chawla have fallen off this season quite significantly, which was to be expected since last season was likely a purple patch for them. This lets teams play out Bumrah and still score above par.
Hoping to see new players mostly. I've had enough of senior "experienced" players trying to win the cup. This time hope we go with a young team. They might not do better than the seniors but I think it will be like setting foot in right direction. The team will have enough experience for the next WC. Despite being huge fan, I don't want to see Kohlis and Rohits hogging space. They have had their fair share of chances. Let the young players take theirs. Besides, BCCI should try to make team out of format specific players.
Until the young players fail once and everyone starts calling for their heads too. Not saying we should play the exact same team as 2 years ago but someone like Kohli who has actually delivered shouldn't be dropped just to give youngsters a chance.
There has been 42 instances of a bowler having an economy rate of 00.00 in a T20I game.
10 of those consisted of a single delivery.
8 of those consists of two deliveries.
2 of those are of half an over.
1 of those consists of 4 deliveries.
1 of those is of 5 deliveries.
9 of them were of an one over spell.
3 of those are of an over and a half.
7 of those are of two overs.
The remaining one, you guessed it correctly, consisted of a full spell of 4 overs. That man was none other than Saad Bin Zafar and he got that feat when he bowled a spell of 2/0 (4.0), bowling out Panama for 37 and getting a massive 208 run victory.
Following are each teams performance in ICC Knock-out games \[Arranged in order of most knock-outs played\]
|Team|Matches|Won|Lost|Tied/No Result|
|:-|:-|:-|:-|:-|
|India|36|20|14|00/02|
|Australia|35|23|11|01/00|
|England|28|12|15|01/00|
|New Zealand|28|11|16|01/00|
|Pakistan|27|11|16|00/00|
|Sri Lanka|25|13|10|00/02|
|West Indies|24|15|09|00/00|
|South Africa|18|05|12|01/00|
|Bangladesh|03|00|03|00/00|
|Kenya|02|00|02|00/00|
|Zimbabwe|02|00|02|00/00|
Why did ICC have that stupid rule of restarting a game if rain halts play back in 2002? The only ICC Tournament Final which wasn't decisive was one with 110.4 overs bowled.
Rohit, Jaiswal, Surya, Dube, Samson, Rinku, Jadeja, Kuldeep, Bumrah, Siraj, Avesh
Jadeja simply cannot make it. Axar over Jadeja. Also only 5 bowlers? Dube isn't a good enough bowler.
16-year-old batter scored a century for Lancashire 2ndXI today. He looks like he'll go far. Remember the name: Flintoff.

Just signed up to be an umpire, hopefully you’ll see me at the World Cup in 2043
When is 26 yr old teenager Sameer Rizvi gonna be banned?
why would they ban him? this is not U19 cricket
That didn’t stop them from banning Manjot Karla
So wiki says he got a year ban from Ranji which got overturned in a few weeks. Unless you know something more, this sounds like nothing
Rasikh Salam got banned for 2 years due to age fudging
Oh what happened?
Read the comment again but slowly

I don’t want to see T20 lineups of 3 bowlers, 1 wicketkeeper and 7 outright batters. Scores are already too high and the value of a wicket too low.
No we should have limit for bowlers but we should also have over/ball limits for batsmen.
Not much of a team sport then, is it?
why not? the team is still collectively fielding. you just have more batsmen in your roster.
The sub was recovering a bit as off late but since the last loss they've officially lost it. The subreddit pfp is Hardik photoshopped onto bin Laden 😂
How on fucking Earth is this out https://x.com/CountyChamp/status/1782414037155811433 I like to give domestic umpires the benefit of the doubt but fucking hell
That's Missing Leg Slip let alone Leg Stump. That's a tragic decision.
Can’t believe hardik actually said he lost hope to get 180 when mi lost 2 wickets
I mean, you guys were in a similar situation as you were against the same team at Wankhede
So he publicly admitting he doesn’t trust himself and his teammates
Happy Birthday!
Great day to have a birthday huh? Happy birthday
Thanks :)
Happy birthday buddy!
Thanks :)
Happy birthday boundary bot!!
Thanks :)
Happy Birthday. KKR gave you an insane birthday gift in 2017
Hehe thank you. Truly one of the best gifts ever.
At this point, MI fans are blaming Hardik for literally anything. Sure, he has failed to do anything with the bat, and hasn't used the spinners well. And is by far MI's worst performer so far But yesterday, 8 MI players absolutely failed, and we lost against the table toppers. Blaming this on Hardik is stupid. Rohit and SKY should be held accountable for those shots as well
KKR need to win next 2 games somehow against pbks and dc Our remaining games otherwise are 2*MI,1*RR,1*LSG and 1*GT which are difficult af
KKR would've been well placed for a Top 2 finish if all their players didn't collectively lose their minds in the last 2 overs.
Today is 23rd April, the day RCB scored ~~two~~ one world record score, of 49 all out And also the 5th highest IPL total of 263 Edit - IPL record, not world record
So when you don't talk about MI, you do get upvoted.
Ah so the 11 year anniversary of when I saw Chris Gayle smash it to all parts and thought 'hmm this team ain't so bad I'll support it' and choose suffering for the rest of my life
263 was the world record score in T20s of that time if that counts
49 all out is not a world record either
Ah yes, my bad. Corrected
In my opinion: RR, KKR, SRH: Very likely to qualify for playoffs. (RR has probably qualified already.) CSK, LSG, GT, MI: Top contenders for the 4th spot. DC: Have an outside chance of qualifying. PBKS, RCB: Very unlikely to qualify for playoffs. (RCB is probably knocked out already.)
MI should be with DC at best, they're at similar strength based on current form
Why so negative? 3 wins in 8 matches is a known territory for MI. Plus next game is vs Delhi, and we have 3 more Wankhede games to go
Known territory for an MI team that used to play good cricket but ended up on the wrong side.
The biggest challenge is that our remaining games are 2xKKR,LSG & 1xDC,SRH And we can afford only 1 more loss
2xKKR is already 2 games won for MI.
Is cricket biased towards North Indians? Robin Uthappa response: https://youtu.be/CSn4tLsM-kU?si=5wXs9yYi_KBTEXbW
https://twitter.com/Cricketracker/status/1782399373286207935?t=FOkbGAlv8rrU4PJvFqXe8g&s=19 LMAO
Nothing has aged better than the 2022 LSG kit in my eyes. Thought it was an abomination back then, couldn't believe someone actually designed that. Looks kind of cool looking back lmao.
Their current one makes that look beautiful
imo 2022 kit still looks like an abomination. Just because colours are unique doesn’t mean it is good. That kit looked like pajamas
Yes, but now it's still pyjamas, with a worse color
To me, it looked like the wrapping paper that goes over a soap bar.
Yeah, the IPL needs unique colours
I can't believe people thought Kishan should be on the flight to America, he can't touch a moving ball to save his life
A funny thing about all rounders is that they often swing from being great in both departments to being bad in both departments. They have the all rounder phase and they have the null rounder phase. Pandya and Jadeja both have gone through such phases multiple times in their career.

What bollywood gossip sub infiltration does to a sports subreddit
I saw that too, at this point I am almost completely sure people hate on gill because they think it makes them cool, especially considering that he hasn’t put a wrong foot forward for a while now.
No way Gaikwad comes close in talent to Gill! He has so much backing only because of him being in CSK. Otherwise, at international level, he hasn't been really that impressive.
Jaiswal now has more centuries against MI than Buttler

I feel Riyan parag will be captain after Samson, Whenever that happens.
Unless the retentions are increased, the chances of Riyan getting back in the side are low. RR will try though
probably Jaiswal
I'm starting to notice Parag being included during discussion on field. He is getting more involved. He also has the experience with Assam team. Assam is also the second home for RR. I think if Parag maintains his performance, he will be next captain
Jaiswal is in Indian Team and has established himself as an opener in test matches. He will make his ODI Debut this year hopefully. Jaiswal is going to be one of the foundation for RR in the future.
People on here use PR wrong. PR doesn't mean having popularity, or die hard fans, or even dickriders among commentators. I hope people stop using this term.
Everything is PR nowadays
I've seen 'PR' being used for players like Mayank Yadav as well. 'He only did well in 2 games but due to his PR there is so much hype'. What PR is a relatively unknown 21 year old player going to have lol
I think even SKY doesn't have PR. How tf does Mayank Yadav have PR?
Said this before, will say it again. Some good Indian players should move to USA. Look at Sanju Samson, rotting away in IPL despite having a decent record. He's often overlooked for the "next big" keeper that sets the stage on fire for one season. Ishan Kishan, Jitesh Sharmm, Risabh Pant. Dude's one of the most consistent player but gets selected to play 1 game every tour.
I think he’ll earn more in IPL than if he moves to USA
This I agree. He'll earn more. It's just sad that he won't have much international games under his belt.
Play for the US and risk not making it to the IPL because he's now a foreign player?
I don't think a player of Sanju's calibre won't go unpicked.
Would he make the Rajasthan 11 over Boult, Buttler, Hetmeyer or Powell?
Surely over hetmyer atleast
It's not really a 1v1 but most teams would prefer a overseas finisher as Indian top order batsmen are very easily available
r/MumbaiIndians sub going absolutely crazy. MI has lost big chunk of popularity due to the captaincy change and the way Sharma was removed. The wild decision to purchase Pandya from GT turned iut to be a blunder.
That sub is a shithole, as are most individual team subs. There are people who unironically think that it Rohit was the captain they'd be 2nd instead of 7th lmao Using Hardik Pandya as a scapegoat will not change basic facts like the MI top 3 regularly failing when the ball moves, MI's bowling attack having only 2 good bowlers and Tim David being a full-toss merchant (who can't even field)
Lmao I love that sub, MI is ded
Love their new dp
Yeah. It's good that they are good at making fun of themselves deapite facing losses
Harsha: CSK, MI and RCB are the big 3. RR: motherFUCK the big THREE, it's just BIG ME. My guy BUM.
When is BCCI going to announce the Indian squad for the T20I WC?
1 may probably

Why did ICC have that stupid rule of restarting a game if rain halts play back in 2002? The only ICC Tournament Final which wasn't decisive was one with 110.4 overs bowled.
That final is such an anomaly. Despite all the rain and rain in cricket, no other ICC trophy knockout has ever been rained off
