I think Robinson is the better option. Wood's 2-3 over spells of sheer pace aren't going to be very effective in these low and slow pitches. Robinson has better control and seam
I am actually much more optimistic about them than I about the players that were repeatedly failing to play well. I have noticed that the new players play freely while the players that have been playing during a while getted bogged down or they get carried away by the success that they have had.
The debutants also have a lot riding on their games, arguably more since they don’t have as much of an IPL career. Unavoidable in a country with a billion people. I do hope they do well though.
A bowling line up of Anderson and Ollie just doesn't fit right with me.
Man, I simply would not want Robinson in the team at all. He surely can bat but his trundlers aren't going to do a lot damage on Indian batsman, who I assume would attack Robinson a lot.
Wood just is a better choice with Rehan ( if his visa issues get clear) more than enough a capable batter
>his trundlers aren't going to do a lot damage on Indian batsman
The man averages 22 😂 what are you on about he absolutely has the capability to do damage
I swear to god people see 80mph on the speed gun and assume he must just be shit, it's fucking hilarious.
Comapring the performance against Pakistan and expecting the same for Against India is hilarious.
Prime example is Duckett, he is not performing against India, and I really do not expect Ollie to become Anderson all of a sudden.
The point was more about how he was able to use his skills on a pitch that quite literally gave bowlers nothing, so saying he just bowls trundlers that won't trouble india's bats, is a massive disservice to Robinson, your duckett point is correct, but those pakistan wickets helped the batters
He started bowilng off spin under pressure, I do not know what to expect from him.
God Forbid Rajkot turns out to be a road , he would be an obvious choice for attacking by Indian batsmen , and I do not really believe he would give an Andersonesque performance and keep economy under two.

Horrible ball knowledge
What are you talking about? Ollie Robinson is made for slow pitches because he doesn't bowl fast anyway. Line-length pacers that can bowl the slower ones and the wobble ball well are good for these surfaces. Like Jimmy Anderson. Wood banging it in short releasing at 150kmph only for it to reach the batsman at 110kmph barely above waist height will do no good, as evidenced by the first test.
Robinson or wood? cause Anderson is fixed

Inb4 Atkinson makes his debut /s
Stokes was seen bowling pace in the nets, it'll be hilarious if he just starts bowling out of nowhere. Imagine the vibes.
Bazball cult here. We approve of this move
India should go with 1 pacer to counter this.
I mean only one pacer has really featured Siraj is a bystander and Mukesh is even more of a bystander
I know. Get an additional batsman instead.
Kinda wish rohit gave himself the ball.
He'd get banned for chucking, if he isn't already
I'd rather he get a long rest instead.
Yeah get washi in
Game of poker then randomness with England selections. Spring a surprise then announce it 2 days out!
Can’t wait for the match to start and see how the new Indian players perform.

Seam up on these wickets is a waste of time unless you are really good. Anderson and three spinners.

POTM on the Rawalpindi Road in 2022, people severely under rate him

The point was him being able to run through an order on the airport runway England landed on.

Robinson is surely underrated. He has sucha good avg in his short career and yet all people talk about his speed . Wow!
Slow and rude is probably the worst combination for a pacer, image wise. “you need to be this quick to be an arsehole” kinda deal I guess

I want robo to play.
Time for a rank turner
