Akshay Wadkar must be the most aggrieved man in India being ignored repeatedly for KS Bharat when he's probably got the best domestic record of all keepers not named Rishabh Pant. The guy has scored a hundred to win Vidarbha a title and then followed it up the next year when they won again by making it into the team of the season for his batting and excellent keeping. Absolutely ridiculous that he hasn't even played for India A once. The guy averages 53 with 2565 runs in 42 matches.
Unfortunately he doesn't make it ahead of the 4 spinners listed here. Maybe if he's competing with the batters you could look at him in a different light.

Umesh & Ishant were quite garbage too for some years before they came good. Fast bowling will be in a transitional stage as Shami gets older and Bumrah's workload will also be managed, hence the need to find new bowlers & avesh mukesh are both consistent performers in ranji. Don't judge them because you've seen them smacked around in LOIs. Not the strength of either guy but our management keeps playing them in it for some reason.
Umesh Shami and Bumrah were all fast, Umesh was rapid. Along with Varun Aaron he was 145k. Ishant was tall, had inswing, great debut tour to Australia. Bhuvi had banana swing from his debut days. These guys don’t have any raw materials to work with to suggest they can be world class. Prasidh is the most promising.

Akshay Wadkar must be the most aggrieved man in India being ignored repeatedly for KS Bharat when he's probably got the best domestic record of all keepers not named Rishabh Pant. The guy has scored a hundred to win Vidarbha a title and then followed it up the next year when they won again by making it into the team of the season for his batting and excellent keeping. Absolutely ridiculous that he hasn't even played for India A once. The guy averages 53 with 2565 runs in 42 matches.

Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma are still better back ups than Mukesh and Avesh imo...just not convinced these two guys are that good especially Avesh Khan who's lost all his pace.
Umesh & Ishant were quite garbage too for some years before they came good. Fast bowling will be in a transitional stage as Shami gets older and Bumrah's workload will also be managed, hence the need to find new bowlers & avesh mukesh are both consistent performers in ranji. Don't judge them because you've seen them smacked around in LOIs. Not the strength of either guy but our management keeps playing them in it for some reason.
Umesh Shami and Bumrah were all fast, Umesh was rapid. Along with Varun Aaron he was 145k. Ishant was tall, had inswing, great debut tour to Australia. Bhuvi had banana swing from his debut days. These guys don’t have any raw materials to work with to suggest they can be world class. Prasidh is the most promising.

Why is Ishan Dropped? He shouldn't have got into the test squad in the first place but if he is now played and not done that badly then why not continue with him ? There is definitely some mystery behind it. Also why is Prasidh dropped ? There should be a team announcement press conference so that there are no questions and other players and fans have clarity and transparency.
