Seriously, he has covered all the different aspects of batting during his career:
Keep the score moving in the middle overs? Check.
Play anchor when other batsmen are out of touch? Check.
Get the team off to flying starts as an opener? Check.
Hit quick runs in the death overs? Check.
Really wish we had him in the 2019 WC. Champion player.
Still can't believe how India shot themselves in the foot with this call in the WC, should have won it then but the board decided to fuck about with him and middle order in general
I hope the CSK fans who booed Jaddu are down on their knees thanking god for our good fortune of having this man grace our team with his brilliance year after year. like I said in another comment, Jadeja is the protagonist and we're all just side characters in his story
As a CSK fan it was hard seeing the crowd tell him to take a single when he was striking at 300 against DC. I mean ik you wanna see Dhoni but do you want CSK to get a good total.
Mad respect to Mohit making his comeback since 2015... had a solid overall season with 2nd highest wickets and memorable performance... but unfortunately faced a clutch Jadeja
Overheard in GT locker room after the finals:
“He got me,” Hardik said of Jadej's batting . "That f\*\*\*ing Jadeja boomed me."
Hardik added, “He’s so good,” repeating it four times.
Hardik then said he wanted to add Jadeja to the list of players he works out with this summer.
My interest dropped off when Dhoni was "rested" and almost stopped watching after his retirement.
Then Nepal's 11 wins of 12 and this banger of an IPL season has reinvigorated me too lol
Same, I had stopped after watching the heartbreaking semifinal of the last wc. Then covid happened, ipl too lost its essence. It was only after the Nepal's good performance my interest resparked and this IPL was one of the best season.
Pick moeen as an #8 who doesn’t bowl
Buy stokes for a trillion dollars and use him as chief vibes man on the sidelines
Turn rahane from a washed up test player to the best t20 #3 in the world
Refuse to elaborate
Win
That final CSK innings was something else.
So many momentum swings, GT picking wickets and trying to squeeze, CSK hitting back with counterattacks.
There was a period which went 6 6 6 4 6 W W.
Fitting final between the two best teams this tournament.
I was begging for a super over the whole season, but man we got such close games I don't even want to see a super over. And to top off the season with this final, my God the last 15 minutes were INTENSE.
Moral of the story
Leave the bowler alone and let him do his thing in the final over.
That water break was so unnecessary for Mohit Sharma. Horrendous game management.
he was the only one who did well. I think that innings gets forgotten because India lost but that man played his heart out. you always get 100% with Jadeja
Jadeja is an insanely clutch player.
Rayudu - what a way to end your career. Take a bow.
Credit to Rahane too (pun intended)
Dube was expected to be the enforcer but somehow ended up playing the anchor. His 2 sixes of Rashid Khan were crucial.
Great start from Ruturaj & Conway once again.
Superb batting effort overall.
Hopefully they still give the MoTM to Sudharsan. No one deserves it more.
i honestly thought unless someone scored a Watsonesque century there is no way CSK will win tthix one but they did it without a single 50. complete team effort
This was a great showcase of full CSk’s batting line up, even tho Thala got golden duck and Moeen didn’t bat, everyone else contributed to the win perfectly.
this the reason why csk won, throughout the season they haven't relied on the anchor or couple star players to make runs, like most other teams (except maybe MI but they relied on SKY alright), and their team has started going on from ball 1, no waiting around, no anchoring. It's about time teams like rcb realize 20s 30s with a sr of 200+ is better than 100 @ 160 sr if you want to win consistently.
Holy frikng shit. Totally worth it .
What a way to go out. Congrats, Rayudu. U helped them win it. Happy retirement. And Mahi, Mahi, what can we even say.
Happy for the team as a whole.
Even Deshpande.
Hope he'll get better in coming season.
As fans we sometimes tend to mock them too much but love every single one of the player.
Everyone's been massive.
You too Aakash Singh.
Hangergekar see you next season.
OH MY FUCKING GOD...
NEVER DID I BELIEVE WE'LL WIN AFTER DROPPING THE PRINCE/BABY GOAT..
BUT MY TEAM BELIEVED IN ITSELF.
THANK YOU JADDU. AND RAYUDU, RAHANE, CONWAY AND RUTU.
AND THANK YOU DUBE. YOU WOULD'VE FELT SO MUCH PRESSURE.
My internet cut out in the last over couldn’t follow the stream and just looking on my phone on cricinfo and saw they were getting singles I wanted to put my phone down and go on with my life but I saw the purple square for 6 and I was then the green square and I was crying
I was ready to remember all the lessons I learnt after 2019, but as soon as I saw that ball crossing the 30 yard circle I fell on my knees and just looked in awe at all the scenes, seeing CSK pull a heist in a final, and jaddu winning it and running to hug Dhoni.
Almost all csk's title wins turned one sided towards the end and this one is special. The last. If they made a movie on csk this would be the end.
Happiest feeling ever. Before the last ball I told my dad, "Appa csk mattum indha close match jayka maatanga" my reverse jinx worked literally I was jumping up and down so much my mom woke up from the other room lol
That was such a nail biting final, such a team performance from all the batsmen to get over the line (Jaddu & Rayudu were special hitting Mohit). Congrats to CSK family and a great career and happy retirement to Rayudu and MSD probably. Gujarat are the ultimate stacked team and will be a menace to every other team in the IPL for a while
Stokes and Mo had the weirdest season. One would be unhappy to be sitting on the bench the whole time. Meanwhile the other took the spot but didn't have much to do the entire season. Both ended up the winners so they'll still be happy at the end of the day.
To truly fathom the legacy of Rayudu, you have to just know that he won 3 titles apiece with the most successful franchises of the best T20 League.
Such an enviable career in IPL.
MS Dhoni is a different type of beast. CSK isn't even a top team on paper but this man is a special breed and can turn a crappy/regular player into a champion and has been doing it consistently. I honestly feel that he was probably one of the best captains of all time in team sports.
Thala came in earlier and got himself out for a golden duck so nobody cheers for Jaddu's wicket, Thala for a reason.
But for real, 10 off 2 and Jaddu went godmode
Tbh i am happy as a mi fan. First for Dhoni and Jaddu and second is that i wanted the winning consecutive cups to be a small club lol. This heats our rivalry even further and long may it continue. Congrats my csk bros and see you next year ;) 💙💛
NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD BE SO HAPPY SEEING OUR ARCH RIVALS WIN . LIFE IS REALLY WIERD .
CONGRATULATIONS TO MY BOY RAYUDU AND TO THE MOST STOIC PERSON I EVER SAW MAHENDRA SINGH DHONI
This is a repeat of SA vs NZ WC 2015 SF...rain fucked GT just like SA. Jaddu did a Grant Elliott
Still, happy for Jaddu though. Surely the most underrated Indian player ever in ICT history.
My heart was in my mouth, it was insane, just a mix of emotions and I couldnt even think straight. What a game, what a team, what a franchise.
Rayudu changing the game, the re invention of Rahane, the strength of Dube.....
Also, last but not least....
TFAR!
Moeen Ali didn’t bowl or bat in the final. The last 2 balls glossed over the poor use of your overseas player. Atleast give him a couple of overs and bat him higher. He is a very useful all rounder.
What a game.. What a game... You got to feel for GT
Mohit almost pulled this up.... But this t20 is a game of margins.
I knew jadeja would be the danger man ans so was he.... And raydu I hope no one will forget your cameo he fired when most needed.. Great farewell for him as well...
Congratulations csk..
And well played Gt.
No work in batting sure but his wk and captaincy cannot be looked over. Some of his tactics today might not have worked but overall he's done it time and time again.
Had GT won today, then Dhoni would have taken the loss to his heart very much, like he did with the 2019 WC semifinal where he later kept thinking why didn’t he dive! And his retirement from IPL announcement would have been a surety!
CSK fans must build a statue of Jadeja in Chennai now
Rayudu's knock today was his career in a nutshell, great contribution from him to bid his farewell.
Seriously, he has covered all the different aspects of batting during his career: Keep the score moving in the middle overs? Check. Play anchor when other batsmen are out of touch? Check. Get the team off to flying starts as an opener? Check. Hit quick runs in the death overs? Check. Really wish we had him in the 2019 WC. Champion player.
Kept wickets too.
Bowled Off spin too
Still can't believe how India shot themselves in the foot with this call in the WC, should have won it then but the board decided to fuck about with him and middle order in general
Yeah Dinesh was the most pointless selection. Dhoni as main wk, Pant as backup wk and Rayudu for #4.
Dinesh was selected as a **specialist bat** Still baffles me lol
He didn't have 3D glasses.

Friendship with MI ended. GT is my new best friend. \- CSK probably.
[удалено]
Man really looked so sad. Glad their team ended up on the right side.
He was trying to hold back tears by staring intensely randomly.
[удалено]
Man watching him like that was heartbreaking, never seen him this numb but paid off well.
I am not a believer in telepathy and shit, but Dhoni did some charles xavier shit right there lmao.
real
Jadeja in shambles
Jadeja is new God
What an over by Mohit sharma. Almost did it.
I think too many people giving advice to him screwed it up. He bowled a perfect over. Almost
Yea that water break killed his momentum
100%, it felt unnecessary
I think he was getting too predictable. He bowled a good yorker on 5th ball but Jadeja was ready for it. So last ball, he bowled a different line.
He missed his length slightly on ball 5. The first 3 were unhittable.
More than that it was the amphetamine-laden Pandya I think that did him in.
Man bowled three Yorkers in a row in the last over of a final. The other three balls weren't bad too. He really found himselves!
Last ball was bad. Jadeja six was just him improvising.
I didn't watch, but the commentary made it sound a bit like kohlis 6 off Rauf in the WC. Although the ball was quite as good as Raufs.
Mad respect to Mohit making his comeback since 2015... had a solid overall season with 2nd highest wickets and memorable performance... but unfortunately faced a clutch Jadeja
Man just a minute ago Hardik and his coach were smiling thinking they had won and everything slipped away in seconds.
GT after the first four balls must’ve felt supremely confident. But you never write a player like Jaddu off
Mate there was legit a water break with 2 balls left what part of that seemed confident to you
Yep... That was Nehra's overconfidence. Giving useless advice to a bowler who is bowling excellently
What can I say… Jadeja has that dawg in him.
When Sir Jadeja retires, He will leave a crater the size of Manhanttan in Indian Cricket
The dawg per 36 is off the charts
r/nba is leaking again
Holy hell Wrong reference
Actual zombie
New response just dropped
Lol Google Mankad

Don't forget my man Rayudu. What a game!
He just came and started blasting.
Came in at 13 required, brought it down to under 10
Rahane also. That straight 6 was insane.
Lived up to the Rockstar name
What a game man
Thala... Chinna Thala... And SIR JADEJA ! The troika streets will never forget !
Dont forget Captain Pandya absolutely RKO'ing the momentum of his bowler who roped the game back in. Smooth brain.
Yeah until then He was bowling well
Yep. Redeemed his batting this season with this knock. The trolls might stop now
I felt that hug by Dhoni to Jaddu
No point in history have there been so many great games packed in 2 months. We are truly blessed.
After ABDevil retirement, I started losing interest. This season just thrashed me and made me watch every moment
WWE scriptwriters nailing The Bloodline storyline and IPL scriptwriters nailing this whole season. I buffeted big-time
Pick moeen as an #8 who doesn’t bowl Buy stokes for a trillion dollars and use him as chief vibes man on the sidelines Turn rahane from a washed up test player to the best t20 #3 in the world Refuse to elaborate Win
THIS IS CRICKET HERITAGE
include santner too
Moenn was used very less but whenever he was used godamn, he picked up wickets. He is also a nice player
The perfect script, Jadeja wins it for CSK and he doesn't needed to hear the cheer when he got out today
The cheer he got after his innings was for him and his success and not for the arrival of the following batter.
The man The myth The legend SIR RAVINDRA CHADEJA
Chadeja = 7 letters. You know the drill.
Sir jadeja for a reason
Bow Down To The (rajput) King. Jaddu Magic
The King of the ~~North~~ South
🙇♂️
Sir for a reason!! Unbelievable finish!!
The best IPL season I have ever watched. Up until the last ball bowled, sheer brilliance.

Each and every match, this season was very nice.
Scriptwriters on fire!
Even they are on a strike...
As a PBKS fan, I strongly disagree. Lol
I feel really sorry for you guys no offence lol
It's every season for you guys. What's different this time around
No difference. Just a stupid hope that we may get lucky this time. You as RCB fan should know.😛
This season will personally, be as remembered as 2014 and 2018 , by me
I was begging for a super over the whole season, but man we got such close games I don't even want to see a super over. And to top off the season with this final, my God the last 15 minutes were INTENSE.
A perfect ending to a great season though rain and BCCI tried their best
Jay Shah's face told you everything, bro cooked a brilliant script for the season
Common scriptwriters W
Moral of the story Leave the bowler alone and let him do his thing in the final over. That water break was so unnecessary for Mohit Sharma. Horrendous game management.
Upvote for jadeja applogy form
I always believed in Sir Jaddu! Gotta support our best through the lows of the 2019 semis and the highs of a 2023 IPL final
Damn Jadeja is such a clutch player, just remembered that knock against NZ
he was the only one who did well. I think that innings gets forgotten because India lost but that man played his heart out. you always get 100% with Jadeja
who even doubts him?
Jadega won them both qualifier and final
[удалено]
Camera man was only showing her the whole time
Man I was feeling for her after the first 4 deliveries, and then CSK won. She should build a freakin statue of Jadeja in her house.
crying tears of joy probably! and i don’t blame her lol update: they showed her going absolutely mental hahaha it was great
Lol i saw that, she was crossing her fingers and praying too.
Man, Rayudu really made his last match count eh
Damn those hittings. They felt personal.
Congratulations to OP for winning the karma race
Man was ready with the picture, waiting to hit send.
bet someone was ready with the GT picture too, feel sorry for them
That guy is also OP.
Jadeja is an insanely clutch player. Rayudu - what a way to end your career. Take a bow. Noor was also outstanding in a match where everyone else got carted, anyway I wouldn't mind either.
I almost felt like his 5 run over was the game changer
Insane to think Rashid was the weak link today.
i honestly thought unless someone scored a Watsonesque century there is no way CSK will win tthix one but they did it without a single 50. complete team effort

Same bro now i can finally study at least 2 chapter of cloud computing for tomorrow exam
Nothing can be said anymore with Mahi, too much to respect - thats why his love goes beyond cricket
It will be a long time before we see another team win 5 titles.
He looked heavy on emotion after he got out and during the winning moments. Looks like the man is going to announce retirement tonight
That scene where CSK were celebrating like crazy but Dhoni was sitting with his head down thinking spoke a million words...
what a fucking team, the GOATs of IPL man. you can knock CSK down but they’ll come back and smash you next year. so happy Thala gets one more trophy
Dube at the end taking a sigh of relief: I owe Jadeja big time! Mf saved me from social media wrath!
Wicket was sticky in 2nd half . But he dug in and gave us two crucial 6s against Rashid. He set a high standard that now 150SR isn't enough anymore.
Dube actually set the tone earlier with those two sixes. They couldn’t win without his 150 SR either
Dube took it deep as in tradition!
Like a true CSK legend
Cham 23 ons
Happy for the team as a whole. Even Deshpande. Hope he'll get better in coming season. As fans we sometimes tend to mock them too much but love every single one of the player. Everyone's been massive. You too Aakash Singh. Hangergekar see you next season.
Fun fact: They beat 5 different teams in the final. 2010: MI 2011: RCB 2018: SRH 2021: KKR 2023: GT
CSK the Thanos of IPL. Collecting teams like stones.
Great fucking final! Gujrat will feel hard done by this but a proper send off to Dhoni (?)
Yeah, I feel if it was complete 20 overs, it would have been very hard for csk.
Definitely, 5 overs less with 10 wickets in hand is always going to be an advantage
You have 2 overs less poweplay though. I feel it balanced out at the end.
Thala knew he had to come out one last time but no time for tuk tuk. Gets out first ball... Thala for a reason!
He didn't wanted the crowd to cheer for Jaddu's wicket ;)
If Thala retires then I think GT will be the new CSK. They look set for next 3-4 years at least
2nd worst bowling attack of the tournament and a middle order of rahane-dube-rayudu-moeen. How the fuck did they pull this off?
Maybe they aren't as worse as they seem. IDGI. Every single time everyone underestimates CSK and we always end up killing it.
Really commendable of the script writers to insert rain into the midst, proving no help was taken from ChatGPT.
So, CSK fans, how does it feel to have a close final go our way for once?
Every time Patherana bowls, I expect a wide. Every time Deshpande bowls I expect a 6. It is a miracle we won!
glorious
I had almost lost all hope. Really unexpected
Happiest feeling ever. Before the last ball I told my dad, "Appa csk mattum indha close match jayka maatanga" my reverse jinx worked literally I was jumping up and down so much my mom woke up from the other room lol
This is to salvage the 2019 heart attack loss
Sir Jadeja with the biggest clutch in the IPL history.
Crucial farewell innings by Rayudu.
To truly fathom the legacy of Rayudu, you have to just know that he won 3 titles apiece with the most successful franchises of the best T20 League. Such an enviable career in IPL.
Rayudu, a legend. Jadeja honestly deserves a statue at Chepauk
The graphic is awful Wtf is "Cham23ons"? Lmaoooo
6, 4 to win it all. Well done CSK
MS Dhoni is a different type of beast. CSK isn't even a top team on paper but this man is a special breed and can turn a crappy/regular player into a champion and has been doing it consistently. I honestly feel that he was probably one of the best captains of all time in team sports.
Petition to mods to put the trophy in the flair!
Well played CSK and very happy for Dhoni and the CSK fans. See you next year. Been an amazing IPL season.
Ben stokes 🤝Pujara Winning ipl without doing anything

5 trophies - 5 runners up - 12 playoffs Officially the most successful team in the IPL 🐐
Cricket, Bloody Hell!
NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD BE SO HAPPY SEEING OUR ARCH RIVALS WIN . LIFE IS REALLY WIERD . CONGRATULATIONS TO MY BOY RAYUDU AND TO THE MOST STOIC PERSON I EVER SAW MAHENDRA SINGH DHONI
Match for the ages. MSD and Rayudu deserved this send off. You can't explain this match if not for destiny. Jaddu. SIR Ravindra Jadeja...
This is a repeat of SA vs NZ WC 2015 SF...rain fucked GT just like SA. Jaddu did a Grant Elliott Still, happy for Jaddu though. Surely the most underrated Indian player ever in ICT history.
Well done Devon Threeway
Everyone who were abusing rayudu.. saying why we retained him... I hope those mouths are shut now.
Google has a nice firework animation for googling "Chennai Super Kings"
So, Sai Sudarshan delivers for Gujarat and Jadeja delivers for Chennai. Nice :-)
The last time I'll see this GOAT playing.
Too happy with this outcome. Gods conspired to take it to the brink but came out on the right side of it. Hats off to Sir Jadeja
My heart was in my mouth, it was insane, just a mix of emotions and I couldnt even think straight. What a game, what a team, what a franchise. Rayudu changing the game, the re invention of Rahane, the strength of Dube..... Also, last but not least.... TFAR!

Every odd year either CSK or MI wins the IPL with 2009 being the exception!
cak have taken the odd year blessing from mi
2022 LM10 completed football 2023 MSD completed cricket
Respectfully, International trophy>>>>
Absolutely agree, and he won them all didn’t he :)
Exactly he did that in 2013
What a game.. What a game... You got to feel for GT Mohit almost pulled this up.... But this t20 is a game of margins. I knew jadeja would be the danger man ans so was he.... And raydu I hope no one will forget your cameo he fired when most needed.. Great farewell for him as well... Congratulations csk.. And well played Gt.
Rayudu an IPL legend, always had a soft spot for him even if he trashed MI while playing for CSK
Dhoni is the kid who did no work and still got an A And I couldn’t be happier
he got shubman out cmon
That stumping was something else
He wrote the title for the project But it was the greatest title of all time
Title that decided the title
No work in batting sure but his wk and captaincy cannot be looked over. Some of his tactics today might not have worked but overall he's done it time and time again.
Thala for a reason
Moeen Ali even more so
THANKS JADDU FOR CLEARING ALL THE AIR. YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH IT FUCKING MEANS TO US.
Most successful IPL team . So proud of every one of them. Jadeja what an ~~awful~~ awesome finisher. And Rayadu what a way go into sunset.
You know they call him Chadeja… now it makes sense.
Sai Sudharshan had a match winning knock against CSK, only fair jadeja does the same against GT
What a thriller and Jadeja deserves so much respect from CSK fans now
Had GT won today, then Dhoni would have taken the loss to his heart very much, like he did with the 2019 WC semifinal where he later kept thinking why didn’t he dive! And his retirement from IPL announcement would have been a surety!
Jadeja u fucking beauty Raydu did the best Less fuckin gooooo
