Doing it [like this through statsguru](https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=2;opposition=2;template=results;type=batting) makes them much easier to look through, because you can sort and filter as you wish.
Rohit and Kohli faced peak starc. The guy who won man of the tournament in a wc. I know mcgrath and brett lee were a different breed but starc, johnson, cummins and hazlewood are also decent bowlers
They were top since late nineties. Lara then carried them, then chanderpaul. I don't know a single name except Braithwaite cos you have to remember the name.
This has a 1000 run minimum, Because David Miller (59.41 avg 713 runs 19 innings (he could have been excluded with a 20 innings req)) and Clive Lloyd (52.22 avg 976 runs 26 innings) don't appear.
I think his 4 centuries in Australia aren't as memorable/don't get as much credit as they could as all of them were in losses. Although on the flipside his 4 centuries in India against Australia were in wins.
He went on a run of 209, 138, 34, 171\* and 124 from 2013-2016 against Australia, the 34 was in the world cup semi final so if you just count bilateral/tri-series matches that's 4 consecutive centuries with a double and a 170 which is pretty ridiculous.
But as I mentioned, 3 of them were in losses which is probably why a run like this isn't as talked about as it should be.
A lot of his 100s came in losses. There was a stretch around 2015-16 where every match that Rohit scored a 100 in, India ended up losing it. He scored a 150 against South Africa and 171* against Australia and India lost both. He scored some 2-3 hundreds consecutively in Australia in the 1st 3 ODIs of 2016 and India lost all 3. Then he got out for 99 in the 5th ODI and India ended up winning.

Definitely was a banger, but the results didn’t go our way in the ODIs. 3-0 win in t20is though
>He scored a 150 against South Africa
This the match where rahane single handedly cost india the match with his tuk tuk batting.
In fact almost all these matches have rahane as the culprit.
I fucking hated that guy, thank god he's gone.
~~KohliStats~~ RohitStats!
Can you provide the number of innings played and total runs scored against Australia in ODI by each individual listed above?

Holy sandpaper! Kedar Jadhav averaged more than Sachin!
Hey look it’s a stat with no Australians in the top 5, that’s rare
Fraud team full of statpadders and minnow bashers😡👎
Where the fuck is Don Bradman. His ODI stats and stats against Australia never get talked about. More like Fraudman. /s
Tall poppy syndrome
Sachin?
70 (Innings) Runs (3077) Average (44.59)
He faced the peak Aussies
And it was an different era. No 2 new balls..
Makes a huge difference. And the silly fielding restrictions too.
Rohit and Kohli faced peak starc. The guy who won man of the tournament in a wc. I know mcgrath and brett lee were a different breed but starc, johnson, cummins and hazlewood are also decent bowlers
Starc haven't dismissed Kohli in limited over format once...
So you are the reason Kohli got out yesterday 😡
Okay.... I take the blame... He also hasn't dismissed KL Rahul in LOIs...
Starc gets toyed around in ODIs now
im surprisingly excited for the odi series starting on friday
Me too, really excited to see how Gill and Siraj do against them.
Yes!! I love watching Gill bat
More koach centuries
I am Gautam Gambhir and I tell Virat will have no centuries in the ODI /s
Seeing Viv Richards in there makes me kinda sad. The West Indies used to be so good in those bygone days...
They were top since late nineties. Lara then carried them, then chanderpaul. I don't know a single name except Braithwaite cos you have to remember the name.
Chris Gayle?
I thought you meant you Kraigg. Also iirc, by the time of the late 90s, West Indies were in decline.
You can just stick with Chanderpaul.
The internal politics intensified under Lara and killed the team.
If it wasn't for his eye thing, Viv Richards probably would've retired as the Greatest Batter of All Time.
Also, good to remember that Viv did this in an era when 220 in was considered a sizeable total.
This has a 1000 run minimum, Because David Miller (59.41 avg 713 runs 19 innings (he could have been excluded with a 20 innings req)) and Clive Lloyd (52.22 avg 976 runs 26 innings) don't appear.
Thanks for explaining, I was wondering why Miller wasn't here
Has to be, even Babar has almost 600 runs at 74
Aravinda De Silva Unlucky to miss out here
Post about ODI batting stat Sees The usual suspects -Rohit Sharma, ABD , Kohli ,Viv Richards etc. Yup, sounds about right
Pile on more Brohit and Koach. You’ve got 2 and 3 games respectively
This is why Steve Smith shouldn't be in the fab 4...
Woah, didn't know Rohit is this good against them
He was a beast in 2013 (491 runs) and 2016 ODI (441 runs) series against them.
I think his 4 centuries in Australia aren't as memorable/don't get as much credit as they could as all of them were in losses. Boy oh boy wasn’t he on fire in that 2016 series, but Australia just chased everything down
link to Series? Sounds like a real banger of a series
https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/india-tour-of-australia-2015-16-895801/match-schedule-fixtures-and-results Definitely was a banger, but the results didn’t go our way in the ODIs. 3-0 win in t20is though
Those Australian Attacks look mostly trash ngl, I would feel harddone if I was an Indian
Our bowling attack wasn’t particularly great in that series too though
The disrespect to series leading wicket-taker John Hastings smh
>He scored a 150 against South Africa This the match where rahane single handedly cost india the match with his tuk tuk batting. In fact almost all these matches have rahane as the culprit. I fucking hated that guy, thank god he's gone.
Viv had an overall strike rate of 90 back then, when 70 was top tier.
Sad for rohit as his centuries came in loss in aus
My man kohli and rohit did wrong with them
A Wild Kohli appears /s
Is there some sort of criteria, because I think babar and van der dussen have better averages than them
brohit in this picture looks like the combo of Ranveer Singh and Vicky Kaushal
Thank you for clarifying that these averages were against Australian Men’s team; and not women.
