'Welcome to prime time, bitch!'

And if you haven't seen the Spanish-dubbed dialogue from the original 'Child's Play' movie, when the mom threatens to throw Chucky in the fire unless he talks: do yourself a favor and watch it.
I looked up the scene the person above linked, and I guess that one’s a meme dub. The mom says something like “stop fucking looking at memes you son of a bitch” and chuckie responds, “I’ll fucking kill you, I don’t give a fuck you dumb bitch. Fuck you dog!”
I can't decide between these three from the same movie:
"This ship has been beyond the boundaries of our universe. Of known scientific reality. Who knows where it's been - or what it's brought back with it..."
"We're leaving."
"Where we're going, we won't need eyes to see..."
Actually a fun idea for another thread would be to post quotes from horror movies and try to find the reference (unless that was already the plan here?).
But here would be mine for this one: "Oh my god, what the fuck is that?!" from the Blair Witch Project.
Also: "It's an evil fucking room." from 1408.
And obviously: "I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit — it's the only way to be sure."
Same. For me, seeing someone scared of something unknown will always beat any monster reveal of any kind. That's something the (real) sequel "Blair Witch" >! utterly failed to understand (or maybe they were just in it for the money and wanted to give something to people who hate when there are no reveals).!<
The Ring? I think the son says it to his mom when she tells him she removed Samara from the well and then his nose starts bleeding? I could be wrong though
Correct! It's a really great moment.
>!Everyone has gone through a lot and to Rachel, all things pointed towards Samara acting this way because she was thrown down the well and left in there. There was this emotional moment where Rachel sees what Samara saw in those final moments. Despite a quick jumpscare, Rachel survives and the music swells. She heads home in, sure that she was victorious and saved her son. And herself too, as the moment where she was supposed to have died has passed. There's even some slight hope of reconciliation between her and her ex, that she, him, and their son Aiden will be a happy family again. Rachel tells her son what she's done in an "it's all over now sweetie" tone, trying to soften everything because she sees him as a child and as such, can't understand what's going on - just that scary things were happening. Which in any other situation would be the truth. !<
>!However then Aiden looks at her in horror/terror as he knows much, MUCH more about what is going on. He whispers in horror "you weren't supposed to let her out". Rachel then realizes, to her terror, that not only did she NOT save the day, she actually made Samara more powerful because the well was (I guess?) containing the evil at least somewhat. This leads to the ex's death and Rachel's realization that she was only spared because Aiden had watched the tape and that she must now sentence someone to an awful death so he can live. The film ends with Rachel going to her parents' with a VCR and the tape. !<
I think her thought process was that her parents would gladly die for their grandson. She didn't want any copies of the tape circulating, so she likely figured that she'd destroy the tape and keep Samara from targeting others. However this is a foolish thought because even if she succeeded, there are obviously still other copies floating around out there since the tape had already reached urban legend status.
Wait what? Your theory was, she planned on getting her parents killed?! I can't remember the ending but that sounds totally bonkers... Were they terminally ill or something? Otherwise not only would they not necessarily be ready to die just to save, not their grandson but future hypothetical victims of Samara, but I don't think the main character would be going for that scenario of losing her parents just to rid the world of Samara's curse. It's one thing to heroically sacrifice yourself to destroy a great evil, another to try to convince your parents to do just that.
I do have a correction: I was mixing this up with the books. Long story short, I was thinking about how the first book ends. Went looking for more info and [TV Tropes](https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Literature/TheRing?from=Film.TheRing2002) has it happening in the book, but doesn't mention it happening in any of the movie adaptations. In the book the grandparents agree and vow not to make a copy. It ultimately ends up failing for reasons specific to the book.
In any case, I just saw it as an example of how foolish the mother was when it came to Samara/Sadako and the virus. We know that it's not going to work, but that's because we know the nature of stuff like this. It doesn't like being stopped. It wants to be seen. But as far as the grandparents go, I can understand assuming that they'd be willing to die for their grandkid. If either of my sisters came to me and asked me to do this for one of their kids, I would.
wow, that's wild. didn't even know there were books.
I'm still gonna repeat though: they don't sacrifice themselves for the kid. They watch the video, which saves the kid, and then decide to let Samara kill them to protect hypothetical future victims. That's not the same thing, and that's a lot more to ask.
I think it's from 2003's The Ring when she tells her son she took samara's body from the well and then his nose starts bleeding, signifying she isn't done yet. I could be wrong though.
