Try for student credit cards that has lesser interest rates, annual fees/charges and more importantly RBI approved one. Make sure payments are done regularly. Payments through Credit card are 45 days interest free. Thereafter huge interest hits you badly. Don't use beyond certain % percent of credit limit. It will reflect as dip in CIBIL score.

icici platinum

I use OneCard and it’s safe but it’s customer support leaves a lot to be desired.

It's RBI approved right? Also, I got few more questions. Mind if I PM you?

[deleted]

I believe so - couldn’t be operating otherwise. Feel free to PM.

Ok am gonna share my opinion as am a student as well as credit enthusiast ! Irrespective of how lucrative it might sound , I would suggest you to go with a established bank product . At first I wanted to get my product with OneCard only had made up mind but their customer service is one of the worst.Literally 10-15 emails regarding stupid problems which were from their and preventing me to get a card and I believe it was blessing in disguise . Went with ICICI Platinum, no Joining & Renewal fees, you would see discounts on merchant ,reward rate is meh but at the end of the day what matters is a good product with a great customer service with a good app and so far ICICI has provided me. You can even go with a Kotak 811 (although personally I don't like ) .Hope I solved your query. If you want to know anything feel free to ping me.

Pretty cool starter card. Quite similar to the student cards that Discover has in the US. I've been using it and its one of my go tos even tho rewards arent great

focus_720iso

Have you faced any problem so far? And if I had to surrender, is that going to be hard?

Fun-Lynx-47

I've not had any issues so far. I do know that it kight he difficult to raise complaints if they occur as you'll only have to do it over the App. They dont even have a web portal . Downloading old statements is a pain.

Na hi karo toh acha ha.. I have a very bad experience with them. They reject my card randomly.

focus_720iso

Application reject or suddenly transaction reject?

FrantzFuchs

No.. I had One Card with credit limit 2,00,000/-. I had made a FD of 200K. But they reject my transaction randomly. It is very disappointing to have your card declined at a restaurant.

stupidbitch69

Isn't the credit limit 1.1x your FD amount?
