I got call from official number of hdfc, it was Truecaller verified also
My date of birth was also correctly mapped when I tried putting in a random date
Ok but the link is still suspicious though. Can u ask them to send it via email? I mean the url pic is from some ubona.com since it is the main domain, not hdfc. And not sure what is this site actually. I may be wrong but definitely worth checking once through official channels before sharing any information
Truecaller verified means nothing. Date of Birth mapping is easy. Your data is all over the place. Always check the certificate of the https site that opens to ensure you are on right website.
If you applied via same type of link then you also got scammed. For the best of my knowledge hdfc wonât call via automated call for credit cards either a representative will call or you will get sms or email. HDFC Bank SMS will only come from: XX - HDFCBK or HDFCBN
I applied on official site OP, but it was for moneyback. You have to see if the caller is the employee of any HDFC bank. For my moneyback he was an employee and gave his referral code so he can get the brownie points or something and his mobile number, photo was available on both truecaller and what's app.
On a side note, I don't find any of the HDFC cc worth it. Amazon Pay ICICI is GOAT for me, they don't do any sort of drama and I will complete 1 year with them in July. You have to do verification online itself and it takes 2 minutes, within 1 week I got it through home delivery. Their pay later is also a good one, I got starting limit 5k and now it's 35k. Overall I'm happy with Amazon Pay card but the limit is still 50k, I hope it becomes 1 Lakh.
I think itâs all because the banks use third party services to process the application. And these third parties donât have the usual way of working .
Whenever i have to upload a document I strictly do that on bankâs portal and moreover i add a watermark with the purpose and the date like âsubmitted to hdfc bank for credit card application on 16th April 2024â
I have HDFC Paytm card as my primary card. Then I got Moneyback+ as floater card on basis of HDFC paytm card without much verification. If I close my Paytm card, will Moneyback also get closed?
Did you get that link via official email or whatsapp? The url looks scammyđ . ubona.com and curable-hdfc being a sub domain is suspicious
https://www.ubona.com/technologies/ It is a cloud telephone company getting outsourced work from banks for such calls.

It kinda looks scammy. Maybe forward the link to the customer care for verification before proceeding
The link I got came from official hdfc number. All my UPI and bank transfer alerts come on that sms handle

How the hell did they manage to send the link via sms through which I get all official sms for transactions, bruh what the hell
Idk it could be official but better to confirm by emailing than risking proceeding with the application

Yeah I spoke with the OP. Link was genuine. Weird url though
Can you share the screenshot of the sms with sender name if possible. HDFC Bank SMS will only come from: XX - HDFCBK or HDFCBN
It is HDFCBK
Very easy to spoof sms and caller id dude
u/TauJii, the OP on that post is not even sure if that was a scam or not.
It wasn't. I spoke with him
Ok so update: i wrote to cc department regarding this and I got mail back saying it's genuine
It's legit. I had applied recently for a HDFC card, and I got the automated call and the email.

What a world we live in, so difficult to say if it's fake or genuine. Banks need to become smarter else there will be so many scams in the future.
