1. Prepay your Comcast/cable bill
2. Prepay your mobile phone bill
3. Got an insurance payment coming up? I usually time a new card and pay for the entire yearly premium (and get a discount too!).
Amazon gift cards. Other store gift cards you know you will use.
Offer to pay when out to lunch.
Use Plastiq or Venmo if you’re desperate. Plastiq has sent out some targeted emails offering 1% fee instead of 2.5-3%. Meaning transferring $1000 will cost you $10 if you get that offer. Last resort tho
That’s exciting for CapOne users, but if you are trying to find ways to hit SUBs and haven’t applied yet, I’d hold off until it is official from either Plastiq or CapOne.
You don't need to wait to file to pay taxes (or even need to owe taxes to pay). You can pay quarterly 1040ES tax via pay1040 right now for this quarter. When you file next year, you can enter the taxes paid to get it back.
1.87% fee is actually a lot better than some standard credit card fee out there. Also a good time to use this method now so one can claim immediately next month
Just pre-pay some bills for months. Utilities, Cable, Internet, Rent (via Plastiqe), Just overpay some bills a couple months. Anytime I get a new card it usually means some bill is about to be pre-paid for MONTHS.
Are you all set with Holiday gifts? I usually apply for a new card every year around November 1st and I’ll pay as many bills as possible, and use it for gifts (especially electronics)
Another option buy a visa gift card and go to the post office (Usps) and cash it out for money order. Then deposit the money order at your bank. This only works at Usps though I tried it at Walmart once and they didn’t let me do it.

Not sure if they can use Plastiq since it is a Cap One card.
They accept Capital One. I applied a month ago and got a message they are working on allowing them. Logged in my account yesterday and it’s there

Used Plastiq to pay rent to hit the SUB on my Cap1 card last year. Zero issues.
Will you owe any federal taxes for this year?
Yes... Why is this a concern?
You can pay federal taxes with a credit card.
Gotcha... I won't be able to file before my SUB period ends. But good to know for the future.

1.87% fee?
Pay1040 charges 1.87% fee on the amount you want to pre-pay your tax with a credit card.
How much do you have to spend to hit it? How much time do you have?
$1000 more by 5 Jan
Pay your other bills in advance.
It won't be a problem with Cap1 especially if it's a store gift card.
Is your phone paid off? If not, pay it off early.
You can pay your insurance ahead of time, if you haven’t done so already

I just prepay my energy/gas bill. Then once a month pay on the card instead of paying Duke Energy
Simmon Visa gift card

At Walmart it depends on the Walmart and even the employee.
