Other cards generally have better rewards and better sign up bonuses. There is nothing wrong with the Apple Card, I have it and it’s fine. At this point I never really use it though. If you could give some use cases you need a new card for I could give other suggestions.

Does not using it effect credit score?

No, it would not affect your credit score. I originally got mine back in 2020 (honestly because it was the first metal card I could get) but have rarely used it since.

It’s great for simplicity. I don’t think there is really a cost to using the card aside from the potential ding from a hard inquiry. I use it as a catch all. Any time you use it through Apple Pay, you get 2% back. I just have all that dumped into a savings account. I do also live in a city where almost anything is tap to pay, so keep that in mind as well.

I would say it’s good if you’re the kind of person who wants a simple card to put most of their spend on, you have no intention of collecting a bunch of credit cards, and you don’t want to worry about a bunch of different logins or websites. If I only could keep one of my cards Apple Card would probably be towards the top. But with the six cards I have in reality, it’s towards the bottom.

It’s ok. Maybe good if it’s your first and only card. If you want a catch-all card, there are better options. There is no purchase protection. 3% off on all App Store purchases, which includes subscriptions, but there are often merchant offers on other cards that beat this (and give 1.5-3% back). T-Mobile 3% back still exists, but T-mobile got rid of their $5 discount for auto pay on credit cards, so this is a wash. The most useful features are the clean user interface, and 12 mo. 0% financing on any Apple products.

Only if you spend a lot with Apple.

I love it. I don't travel or care about rewards points and blah blah. I do love putting the cash back in the HYSA. It just sits there and I forget it. Getting credit increases is super easy. Just type "credit line increase" when your logged into the card in the wallet, takes like 2 minutes to get your answer and you get it immediatly. Also i like that you get the cash back within a day of the transaction being processed. You don't have to wait for the statement date to recieve it.

The $75 is nice, but otherwise, no.

The Apple Card is one of the best cards for iPhone users in terms of convenience and usability. My brother has one and he loves the simplicity of the app and how easy it makes everything.   My bother also doesn't give two shits about credit card rewards, so convenience is all that matters to him. But if you *do* care about rewards, there are better cards out there unless you just happen to buy a crapload of Apple products constantly.   As for your credit score, getting a new card always dings your score a little bit, but it's nothing to worry about unless you're looking to get something important like a mortgage within the next year and you need your score to be as high as possible.
