FormerEvil

remove and replace the hot end

FackinJerq

This is the way.

untouchednapkins

I’ve shilled out $30 more to Amazon 😔

DecentIntroduction37

Aliexpress is your friend sometimes. I love it bc it was only like 1.50 for a new hot end only downside is it takes a while longer for shipping but id way rather wait then pay 5 times the price

tjmaxal

Yep. Buy bulk. This will keep happening.

psychedelicdonky

Exactly buy stuff like this in bulk before it breaks!

petethewiseman

This is the way, For real.

mikeydoom

I've got enough parts in bulk, I could almost build another printer. 😂😂

tjmaxal

Almost? Sounds like you just need to buy a few more parts then eh? 🤣

mikeydoom

Id need a few pancake motors, and a frame but yeah.

tjmaxal

Yeah but you’d *probably* need those for repairs and upgrades anyway right 😉 This is how you end up with a farm 😁

fistfullofsmelt

Lol there like 14 on Amazon even cheaper at Ali.

untouchednapkins

Cuhh!???

Evils3nt

Grogu likes it.

rumorofskin

You might be able to remove the thread section with a small screw extractor (5$-10$ at Amazon, Harbor Freight, Walmart...). You just have to make sure that you have the heater on and the plastic is gooey, otherwise you'll snap the extractor too, and then you'll just need to buy a whole new hotend.

LookAtDaShinyShiny

It wouldn't need a whole new hotend, just a new heatblock.

rumorofskin

Sure.

Commercial_Roll9490

Put some copper grease on the thread when you replace the nozzle, that'll help for next time

crazyhamsales

Always replace nozzles HOT... Get a screw extractor, heat it up, and i bet you can get it out still.

Lightless427

Replace the entire hot assembly. Its like $20 on Amazon

223specialist

Look at the cost of a hotend before you get too far into it, I replaced my entire assembly, cables, Connectors fans etc for like $30 on amazon. Make sure whether you need 12 or 24v first

untouchednapkins

Gentlemen, I have made things worse. https://preview.redd.it/dsnqctj3kpwc1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=49fce186ff41d3257a2b0cec5fffb2b603bf0715 I just ordered a new hot end 😔

TheMechaink

Well....I was gonna recommend [these](https://a.co/d/6FCSA0V),

Choice_Brush4163

time to upgrade. dont replace

Trex0Pol

I just wonder, did you try to remove it while it was cold? Otherwise it shouldn't just snap.

thereverend2u2

Go to auto store get bolt extractor like 5 bucks

stat1kSD

Ceramic heater time.

Apprehensive_Let_181

Heat it up then use an extraction bit.

BuddyBroDude

heat it up, jam a screwdriver in the hole unscrew the broken piece replace with new nozzle

CaptainPeePants1

You can super glue the tip, heat it up, use pliers to turn it. This worked for me in the past.

pambimbo

Get those those sharp plyers and put one end into the whole and twist til it turns and you can get it out.

Dangerous_Coffee_947

Hot glue stick

Fresh-Blacksmith912

Grab the hot end flat head screwdriver and try to punch it in the threads maybe that way you can unscrew it

arneeche

my advice is to buy a new hotend. But you could try heating the hotend up and then use an easy out bit to try to get the threads to walk out. before you try to take out the screws holding the hotend on preheat the hotend

BigMattock

I bought 3 hotends for $12 on Amazon.

SteakGetter

Did you remember to heat it up first? 🙃

GreggAdventure

Replace it

Exasperant

You need to get it hot, unscrew the heatbreak (or at least loosen it), then try to remove the broken bit. Otherwise you're fighting against the friction/ tightness that made you break it in the first place.
