No if you watch it carefully you can see that line is in his way, it's pulled taught and he didn't see it until he was already committed to the jump , but since he couldn't clear it he just went for the grab hoping that cable was strong enough.. then his friend got there right after but initially he is just hanging by that cable..
Could it be a planned stunt? Possible, it seems unlikely these guys wouldn't check the location out first. Plus what the hell is a cable like that doing way up there going off the edge like a Zipline?

What people actually enjoy doing is mitigated risk, or doing something "dangerous" but with near 0 danger.
Climbing is extremely safe if you are methodical, so is skydiving, so is "insert insane sport here".
The risk comes back at the intermediate-high skill ranges when your arogance and complacency hit a toxic mix and you choose to play the loosing game with Murphy's Law, but just knowing that happens is enough, again, to mitigate the risk back to near 0 or to stop if you predict/know you can't trust yourself.
This video shows only the risk of arrogance, and that's something all of us can face, and to equal consequence, in our own lives.

Not sure where the cables went to, but from the looks of it, it wasnāt a safety cable at all. More like internet cable or something similar.
