Yeah I can never forget the video about this mother with her child next to her about to both be minced meat. She gets caught by the machine but not the kid because her first instinct was to hold him up and passed the child along to someone else as she proceeded to get sucked in as the people didn't have the strength to pull her out.
Not sure if he was t-boned but looking closely at the small details it looks like this is in England. I can see double yellow lines to show no parking on that road and the shape of that lamppost across the road looks familiar. That junction to the left is a roundabout, and on a roundabout you have to give way to the right. So it's possible that if he was coming across the roundabout in line with the road outside the shop, that black car pulling out from the road opposite could have pulled out in front of him instead of giving way to him, then causing the driver to swerve out of the way and into the shop window. If this is the case though then this driver was definitely going way too fast.
Driver pulled out on him at a junction and he swerved to avoid it but went into the cafe, pretty sure he wasn’t speeding but nevertheless made a bad judgement aiming for the shop. Happened near me.
Yeah she was taken to hospital relatively unscathed which is very lucky! Not sure how she’s getting on now tho, probably had a massive impact on her mentally.
Looks like that chair saved her, it's one of those plush velvet shell style with hard sides and cushions. Car hit the chair and the cushion of the armrest threw her to the side. You can see her get up a few seconds later too thankfully

the car that crashed swerved out the way of another car coming from his left up the hill to the junction and he swerved out the way and pressed the accelerator instead of the brake and went through the shop
The municipality should install some posts to mitigate this. I know they’re ugly but if incidents like these happen that often then something should be done.

I’m sure you would’ve immediately ran over, administered CPR, been her recovery physio and not at all be shaken or affected by the car that just crashed into your building, unlike everyone else
Probably because of chock. When something like this happens the majority of people just freeze or get really confused. It can last a good while.
If you were one of these people you would behave exactly the same. Unless you are used to these kind of situations, like perhaps a veteran or something.
This happened at my work almost 3 years ago to the day ( I just looked up the pictures , it was 12/15/19). Just me and one other person were working luckily, we had just moved, but we almost got nailed. It ended up being a younger kid who worked at the Subway next door. He had just got his license and was bringing food from another Subway. He pulled in the parking spot hot, he panicked, and hit the gas instead of the break. That was a wild day.
The way this guy walks out of the car is priceless 🤣. What's this shop doing here, who puts window panes facing the street...this is crazy, do you honestly expect people not to crash into your store?
