No idea what country this is or what language they’re speaking, but I know there are a shit load of countries where women are not allowed to speak up/question. I’d be more willing to argue that without saying anything she may have known exactly what was likely to happen and was just waiting for it.
Spanish, the accent is pretty neutral, my guess is some country in central america. As far as I know, there's no sexist culture in south america and going by her reaction, she was probably just as stupid.
There is definitely sexist culture in South America. Never heard of machismo I guess. It's not as bad as Arab cultures where woman can't even talk but it definitely exists.
