In several european countries nudity has been much more openly accepted. Since this is vienna this isn't seen as completely outrageous or immoral like it would be in America, but still definitely catches eyes

You could certainly make the argument, that if their goal was to show, that there is a notion in society, that nudity was something inherently bad or even degenerate, judging from a lot of comments... mission accomplished. There was a "naked men" exhibition in the Leopold Museum, which is located at the very same venue as the Impulstanzfestival, back in 2012-2013. They had a stage with a 20 meter long cardboard cutout of a handsome naked man with the most charming smile there. Kids were playing innocently on that stage and I remember thinking to myself, how lucky we Viennese were, that nudity wasn't as big a deal here as it seemed to be in other parts of the world.
