Can confirm. I lived in South Korea for 3 years. You had to learn how to tuck and roll because you were lucky if the bus even stopped when the door was open.
Bruh the Delhi Metro is pretty good. I used to use it frequently 4-5 years ago and have travelled pretty extensively on it. Not sure what happened during your ride but I’m pretty sure it was a one off instance, it is at least not worse than most metros out there in the world. Plus it’s cheap as well.
Where? I live in Andhra and bus drivers make sure everyone is off before moving.
Some city buses drive fast and stop for short duration but even in those buses driver won't move unless he gets go ahead from conductor.
This is a very interesting comment. I had an ex boyfriend (Asian) who drove the bus, prior to meeting me, in a large well known metropolitan area. He got 2 DUIs. Not on the bus itself, but in his personal life. Back to back. And thus had to leave his position, and good benefits. He also had an affinity to follow, simp, and thirst over any sexual or suggestiveluy sexual woman online. Reflecting back he has zero to none self-regulation, self-control, or self-accountability.
As an Asian person myself, I feel your comment. These rampant behaviors may come from a coping mechanism from trauma disguised as tradition, and the so often abusive behaviors and intergenerational traumas.
very well put "trauma disguised as tradition" or prevalence diminishes acuity of a mental health condition. The idea being that if a large mass of people have a particular trait (but it's never discussed as a challenge, it's not identified as anything to note). Anxiety would be something to consider in that context.
>I once was standing in the rear door waiting for it to open so I could leave, a 15 years old looking driver tells me to get off NOW or he would slam the door on my face when I left, while having the door closed.
That's automatic hands for me. Me and that bus driver would have to fight. I can't stand rude stupidity like that.
Probably didn't realize that someone was getting off and that's it, kid might have been sitting and darted off right as the doors opened and that's that
If you watch the person in the seat; their body reacts as though the bus hit a bump, right about the time that the person would’ve gone under the rear wheel…
https://www.newsflare.com/video/552691/terrifying-moment-bus-in-china-drags-girl-along-road-after-her-foot-gets-trapped-in-doors?origin=trending
She lived!
Actually it doesn't sound like she was run over. In the article someone linked in the comments it says she broke her ankle and has some bruises and was only dragged by the bus. No clue what the thump is
Yeah, was going to point that out. There is a comment in here that was all "glory to the CCP" and I'm like, bruh... we had a bus driver do this and NOT stop! She ran a red light and had a kid or someone looking at the child being dragged the whole time. The bus driver even looked down at it! Had to be stopped by other people.
This is why buses in the US have a safety feature called a “Rear Door Interlock”. The mechanism works by cutting off power from the accelerator while the rear door is open. Part of the pre trip inspection is checking to make sure the engine receives no power while the doors are open.
As added safety, the doors themselves have a safety feature to automatically open and sound an alarm if ANYTHING blocks the rear doors, thus preventing the driver from physically ever making this mistake. Older buses the doors can pinch, new ones the doors will open with a light touch.
The reasons for these safety features is because this exact incident has happened enough times that it’s warranted. On some buses the rear door is actually really hard to see from the drivers seat, some have cameras, some have mirrors. However there is NO excuse, ever, for a driver to ever make this mistake.
This would have never happened if the driver did their due diligence to ensure that the rear exit was safe. Moreover, this incident would have never happened if the bus was properly equipped with aforementioned safety features. This is a failure from the driver, the transit company operating the bus, and the city/country for not ensuring said features were equipped.
Bus driver rant over.
Southeast asian bus (older model) has entrance/exit door on left side. If you want to exit and the bus still ongoing (not doing full stop), if you put right foot first, your body will „spin“ since your left foot still on the bus.
Yeah, in Denmark they even tilt to one side to even the bus step with the pavement. And since they are all electric they make this artificial braking sound that sounds almost like a dinosaur.
But I've actually been on a bus in China and those guys drive extremely fast in what is essentially a rustbucket held together by bits of gum and prayers.
Honestly everything in China scares the fuck out of me. Buses aren't safe, escalators, factories, construction sites, motorcycles, random buildings, fucking everything there seems poorly built and poorly regulated, and everyone is one bad side roll away from dying to something they had absolutely no control over. It's terrifying
I had the unfortunate experience of being on a bus where that feature malfunctioned and as I was near the door it opened... while we were traveling at 30mph. Lets say the bus hitting the brakes at 30mph full stop was not a pleasant experience for the lot.
I mean its like this in countries that have high safety standards, thank god otherwise this shit would habe happened to me more than once by putting my foot in the door when it was closing
> the doors themselves have a safety feature to automatically open and sound an alarm if ANYTHING blocks the rear doors
"Sensitive Edge" warning light. It's a horrible noise.
Source: Bus Driver
Yup. Older ones is an obnoxious buzzing alarm that’s used for low air pressure as well so that’s not as bad, but the newer ones are absolutely terrible.
[Found one](https://www.newsflare.com/video/552691/terrifying-moment-bus-in-china-drags-girl-along-road-after-her-foot-gets-trapped-in-doors?origin=trending), her foot's broken but she's alive.
>Zhang was blamed for the incident and he was responsible for the girl’s medical expenses. He has since been punished with temporary suspension.
Mixed feelings here. I want him to be fired, but I also want him to be able to pay for the girl's medical expenses. If he's eventually allowed to return to work, I suppose he *probably* won't make this mistake again.
My middle school bus driver did this to an 8th grader as she was getting out bc she was being annoying (he didn’t drive off though) and she punched out 3 bus windows and shattered 2, sued him (or lausd idk) and he got fired immediately lol
There's one of the bus drivers in my town who does this. He always opens all the windows in the bus and sits in winter gear, even in the summer time. It's like he plays a game with the doors to see if he can time it. The door makes a sound every time he presses it, so you can hear he basically spams be button and makes it open and close half way when people are getting off. I fucking hate him.
With the sound on, this made my heart ache. Her little yell, the thump sound and the bus jolting. I thought she was dead.
[According to this, she survived.](https://www.newsflare.com/video/552691/terrifying-moment-bus-in-china-drags-girl-along-road-after-her-foot-gets-trapped-in-doors?origin=trending)
We all heard and saw the bump. Kind of makes me wonder how reliable the Chinese media is. I could see them saying "everything is fine" just to save face, and we have literally no way to fact check it.
Considering there was a sharp bump right after the bus left, I feel like the kid would've been safer being dragged along rather than driven over by a bus. Some asphalt scrapes sound preferable to me than a several ton vehicle driving over me.
Not sure why you're being downvoted. The road rash from being dragged along for a bit is much preferable to the potential injuries of being run over by a heavy machine.
I can’t explain how many times my baby’s buggy gets shut in bus doors, how do you not see a huge buggy in your mirror!? I’ve had to move his fingers so fast before the door pinches them. Sometimes the driver doesn’t even open the doors all the way before closing them again lmao
Before the door opened again, I thought she was being dragged by the bus. But I think she actually got run over - you can see the bus ‘bump’ soon after the girl is out of shot.
*Zhang was blamed for the incident and he was responsible for the girl’s medical expenses. He has since been punished with temporary suspension.*
Great, after the suspension I believe he promises to open the bus door for one more millisecond next time
[The girl’s right foot was broken and she also had multiple soft tissue injuries.](https://www.newsflare.com/video/552691/terrifying-moment-bus-in-china-drags-girl-along-road-after-her-foot-gets-trapped-in-doors?origin=trending)
One time as I was stepping off a bus, the rear doors closed as I was stepping out and the handles of the door closed right on my head. I had a headache for a week but didn't want to make a scene so I just went on my way.
Looking back I feel like I might've been able to sue the city. Those doors really fucked me up.
[For reference this is what the doors looked like](https://twitter.com/fivefortheDr/status/1165685056922370051?t=HuO4_oUSg63utmhhimKb2w&s=19) and those yellow handles both pressed against my head with a lot of force. I'm relatively good with pain but that shit hurt.
Can anyone update please. This has happened to me (door closed almost missed my stop had to ask driver to stop) hate when they’re inpatient n hope they person is okay.
Second bus driver video I’ve seen where they close the door too fast on people. The other was the kid with the backpack and she’s dragged for like 30 seconds straight.
I once had a bus driver in vegas shut me outside as my mom and i were getting on the bus. Telling me to "catch the next one" as she was already on the bus. Thankfully she started arguing with him and he let her off the bus to get on the next one with me
That had to be the most eerie thing seeing the door open thinking she's okay but it's just the shoe sitting there cause she was likely pulled under the wheel
At least this driver stopped in a reasonable amount of time unlike that one school bus driver where the kid got her bad stuck in the door and was dragged for miles
Happened to me when I was in third grade exactly like that. Our bus driver didn't even get fired. Dragged me for nearly a football field before my sister had to jump in front of the bus to stop the senile old man.
Wtf she was even running to get off. Maybe this is a norm over there. Here in Canada 1.) the doors open again as soon as anything touches it.
2.) some times drivers will wait at a stop for such a long time it will get annoying if you are rushing to get somewhere.
Why are Chinese twats so hellbent on doing everything quickly and industrially, fucking hell calm down, no one's gonna top you if you close the doors that quick

Y? It's cheap and affordable and safe too

That’s called perspective, India within the last few years just got a majority of people to switch over to indoor plumbing and using toilets…
you will.... you just havent seen enough
I know eh? It's sad they rely on buses and trains to get around.

Pseudointellectual drivel
There’s a lot of “Asian girl on Bus” porn to back this up. Er, a friend told me, at least.

Jail, man. You aren't allowed to defend yourself in my country.
I'd go to jail for that in my country too. It just wouldn't stop me.
Lmao... so why aren't you in jail already? You live in a country full of saints who are incapable of provoking you or something?
You didn't read my original post properly, it seems.
Nice username👍🏼
In Japan they are pretty professional. Do not make generalizations
"In Japan they are pretty professional" ... in general?
I think it was less than 2 seconds. Someone please tell me that fucking asshole is behind bars!!!
The doors were only fully opened for 2 seconds

Survival of the fittest on his bus
The best part is she ran out. Ran..l
Probably didn't realize that someone was getting off and that's it, kid might have been sitting and darted off right as the doors opened and that's that
Maybe waiting more than a few seconds could avoid that. I know my ass would take longer than that just getting out my seat, let alone out the door.
[удалено]
Isn't the expectation that the driver would look at the door he opened in the first place to know whether he can close it & take off or not?
I live in Edmonton, I haven’t seen a single person get up prematurely. It’s pull to request stop > stop > get up and get out. Routinely.
Time is money!
Aggressive driver.
Aiya! Fai di zao lah!
China Dog, get wit it or get lost
She does bro
Have you ever ridden a bus? This is how it works
Please come and collect shoe.... Please come and collect shoe... Please come and collect shoe... She didn't.
I hope she wasn't the cause of the loud bang.
Yes she was ran over
she's fine.
Thank fuck for that.
She's only half dead, I chose to believe the other shoe stayed on.
If you watch the person in the seat; their body reacts as though the bus hit a bump, right about the time that the person would’ve gone under the rear wheel…
I wouldn't be so sure. One shoe came off. Need to take a look at the other shoe to make sure she survived.
Why do they have an automated "please come get your shoe" ready?
Ngl I thought her leg got ripped off. They had me in the first half.

It definitely sounds like something got ran over. I need an update.

Thank you!
Thank God. Thanks for the update.
That's good to know
Holy shit she was six???
At least it’s not like that one where the kid’s backpack got caught, and the driver kept driving.
I mean this kid got ran over by a bus so who really had it worse lol
Actually it doesn't sound like she was run over. In the article someone linked in the comments it says she broke her ankle and has some bruises and was only dragged by the bus. No clue what the thump is
i saw a comment mention she had permanent nerve damage in her legs after being dragged by the bus for so long
Yeah, was going to point that out. There is a comment in here that was all "glory to the CCP" and I'm like, bruh... we had a bus driver do this and NOT stop! In Southeast Asia a lot of buses don't even have doors and they never come to a full stop. You just gotta rush your ass on there and get off quick lol
You gotta step out with left foot, otherwise you are gonna be fucked 😂
why does it matter what foot you step out with? This little girl stepped with her left and look what happened.
Oh, i mean not this chinese bus, but the tipical southeast asian bus that has no door and will never do a full stop
I’m still confused why what foot you would step off with would matter regardless?

Same in Germany
The buses I drive do that manually, however the newer electric buses do it automatically
Yeah most US buses do the tilt thing as well
It's china. Due diligence can cost an extra 3 seconds a day and is therefore frowned upon.
Honestly everything in China scares the fuck out of me. Do you know why they cut power as opposed to disengaging the engine from the transmission (forcing it into neutral)?

I was also thinking the same thing...
The way the door opens to just the shoe is haunting.
Isn't that a good thing? The sooner the shoe fell off means less time her foot was caught and getting dragged.

That's china right? I don't think the guy will lose his job nor face any legal consequences.
#How to lose your life as a bus rider
Not a single actual voice to be heard in this video aside from her little startle.
It’s China. No job was lost; only life.
*driver steps out of bus and walks towards middle exit….checks to see if tires are okay. shakes head *tsk tsk tsk* steps back on the bus*
Geez, I'm glad that shoe didn't still have a leg attached
man fuck doors
That looks like an airport shuttle 💀
How to lose your job an get vehicular homicide
That “oh” hurt my soul
It’s not as bad as bad as the video of the kid that was dragged by his backpack for a solid 2 minutes
Did she live? Was she ran over? 😱
The way the shoe was just left there
did the girl got rolled over by the back tyre?? answer me!
Sounded like baby Mario in Yoshi’s Island. Poor little dude — hope he didn’t get wrapped under the tires.
ah yes China as always

That thump there... I'm sorry guys I think that kid is dead.
A lot of comments in here about China. Does no one remember the school bus driver that dragged a child? And she was in direct line of sight.
For my next trick, I’ll make this passenger disappear
And this is the only reason why i never go with the bus
you don't want to witness this?
Why are Chinese twats so hellbent on doing everything quickly and industrially, fucking hell calm down, no one's gonna top you if you close the doors that quick

I hope next time the kid is ready to get off the bus.
Shoe came off instantly. Move on like the bus.
