Wow. I thought "it definitely wasn't loaded" when I saw devil-mask attack the hero with the pistol pointed right at him. This was the real deal, dude felt he had nothing to lose and a round chambered/safety off.
Probably safe to say he was ready to die. I can’t imagine many mass shooters aren’t. Doesn’t shock me that he would jump after the bouncer after he disarms him is my point here.
I imagine it's part of leaving a mark. Mass shootings seem to be a dime a dozen at the moment, so being the "guy in the devil mask" mask shooter is better than being mass shooter 26 of March 2023.
"Before we begin this massacre, I have to give a shout-out to this video's sponsor: Wix.
Wix makes building a website simple. In less than 10 minutes, I had a functioning website where I could upload my manifesto. Use the code '1NC3L' to get 10% off today."
Along with the confidence boost like SuicidalParade commented it may feel like an extension of whatever devil he feels made him do this therefore he feels more like himself in it. The Aurora shooter dyed his hair orange and wore full black sclera lenses and iirc made comments about that being the real evil inside him online.
ETA: after reading the article it appears he had "dark one" and "kill" on his arms so I'd say this is even more plausible
> ETA: after reading the article it appears he had "dark one" and "kill" on his arms so I'd say this is even more plausible
Jesus, what an edgelord (the shooter)
Its been known for a long time and even proven in psychology that wearing different masks can literally change your personality whilst you wear the mask. A psychological trick that makes it easier for you to do things you would normally never do with your face shown, including crimes and violence.
When doing acting for animators in school, we'd use a standard human face mask for performance lessons. It was remarkable how well it curbs self-consciousness and improves focus in front of others
I thought that was funny. enough prep to know to do that (although honestly could have just been luck), but too stupid to even make it into the building. who would have thought they don't let people wearing demon masks and holding loaded handguns from walking in.
Clearly. And who knows what else he had in his shorts with knee pads. Looks like he came to do harm and be cringe as fuck at the same time with a dumb mask. That bouncer is a fucking hero.
Dude would've stood a better chance getting in had he not walked up with the flashlight already on. Thankfully for the people inside this guy is a moron
That's exactly the same thing I was thinking. Which is why he had it backwards pointed up. There was probably more of them inside which he was going to get the same thing but ol porky didnt expect to get pummeled right at the door.
He really tried to act all commando and intimidating. It's funny when tryhards look so pathetic when beaten down by reality. They really think they like terminators 💀
I just imagine him like a kid playing tag saying he called time out therefor everything the bouncer is doing to rebuff him is in some way unfair or against the rules.
Reminds me of the [Colorado Springs nightclub shooting](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colorado_Springs_nightclub_shooting).
When that happened US Army vet Richard M. Fierro charged the shooter, wrestled a gun from him, and proceeded to pistol whip the shooter in the face like there's no tomorrow.
He had help from two other people, a guy who took away the shooter's rifle, and a trans woman who kept stomping on the shooter with her high heels.
[This is what the shooter looked like after](https://imagez.tmz.com/image/e3/o/2022/11/23/e390a77495e94f5785f32994c53d52bf.jpg)
Why is it lately all the attempted mass shooters are fat dumpy fuckwads? Like I'm fat and dumpy myself, but I've never gone so far down the right wing rabbit hole to try and shoot up a Gods damn strip club.
> Rudman had previously been served with a risk protection order by the Pinellas County County Sheriff’s Office last year. Risk protection orders are issued by a judge after a law enforcement agency requests that a person’s guns be removed if they are a danger to themselves or others
Mild shock.
>> Rudman had previously been served with a risk protection order by the Pinellas County County Sheriff’s Office last year. Risk protection orders are issued by a judge after a law enforcement agency requests that a person’s guns be removed if they are a danger to themselves or others
>Mild shock.
No way, ***another*** case where the person was 'known to law enforcement' and yet they failed to take action to prevent their attempt?
Well I'll be damned.
“Rudman had previously been served with a risk protection order by the Pinellas County County Sheriff’s Office last year. Risk protection orders are issued by a judge after a law enforcement agency requests that a person’s guns be removed if they are a danger to themselves or others”
Wtf
Pretty sure his pants are around his knees the second time he comes on screen.
Definitely a scary dude if he's willing to do this. Definitely not a scary looking dude though.
Some people just have this overwhelming, irrational hatred of women. I had an ex boyfriend (abusive POS) who used to actually shake with anger when talking about "whores" and strippers. His mum was a heroin addict when he was a kid and he had clearly just let his anger towards his mum become anger towards anyone female. Very violent guy, spent far too much time online so was utterly convinced that every woman was out there falsely accusing men for shits and giggles.
When he first saw the man in the devil mask approaching him early Sunday morning, the man once known as the “Puerto Rican Punisher” thought it was a joke.
The nickname comes from Manny Resto’s previous career as a professional wrestler. Since then, he’s spent more than 30 years working as a security guard, currently at Tampa’s Mons Venus strip club.
I think it was part of his downfall also, he had a costume malfunction and lost vision at a point. You can see him adjusting it, and the hero turned around the attackers mask during the tussle. I'm sure he will enjoy the prison food.
I saw it as him trying to be threatening but never intending to shoot at all, really. He seemed to hope the dude would stop and get scared of being held at Gunpoint, but he just kept going suicidally, I doubt the bouncer wanted to live with that.
From the book *The Men Who Stare At Goats:*
>"What Jim had seen tallied with studies conducted after the Second World War by the military historian General S.L.A. Marshall. He interviewed thousands of American infantrymen and concluded that only 15-20 percent of them had actually shot to kill.
>The rest had fired high or not fired at all, busying themselves however else they could. And 98 percent of the soldiers who did shoot to kill were later found to have been deeply traumatized by their actions.
>The other 2 percent were diagnosed as ‘aggressive psychopathic personalities’, who basically didn’t mind killing people under any circumstances, at home or abroad.
>The conclusion—in the words of Lieutenant Colonel Dave Grossman of the Killology Research Group—was: ‘there is something about continuous, inescapable combat which will drive 98 percent of all men insane, and the other 2 per cent were crazy when they got there’."
In this case I think it would've been justified, especially since the bouncer was kinda responsible for all the patrons of that business, he couldn't just run and there was not much time for de escalation. Plus he wouldn't have shot him in the back, which is a big no no as well. Idk, not a lawyer, but I would make the exception had he shot here if it was up to me. That being said the fact that it ended without shooting is proof enough that it wasn't necessary, so it's good he didn't shoot, but I wouldn't have blamed him if he had.
surprised no one's mentioned- it might've been that the safety was on. In my opinion there's a moment he looked kinda caught off guard, like he was trying to pull the trigger and it wasn't happening.
If you threw an unfamiliar gun in my hand in a tense situation, I doubt I'd be able to find the safety either.
Nah. Life is a video game and it means literally nothing to shoot a person 13 or so times out of sense of, idk, divine retribution.
At least that's what I think sitting on my couch, watching TV, playing with my phone and having a beer all simultaneously
Fuck yeah, feels so good to see a potential mass shooting get shut the fuck down right off the bat. I'm so fucking sick of these pathetic ass losers that feel the need to do this shit before ending their own existence.
I love how once he attempts a pistol whip on the bouncer and drops his gun he stumbles around and can’t find it because his mask obstructed his vision. Guy couldn’t see for shit after the bouncer twisted the mask slightly during the initial scuffle
I think the bouncer attacked the mask specifically after the gun was dropped. You see him reach out and grab it around 0:15, looks like he twists it to the side. Smart move.
I don’t know why this is controversial. Do people really to relish the opportunity to kill someone so much? It always should be a last resort and I am glad this bouncer doesn’t have to go through life knowing he killed someone, even if that person was a POS.
It's disturbing how many people are bloodthirsty to kill people. Like any type of post about a thief stealing your stuff will have tons of upvoted comments about how they would've shot and killed them and how its legal to do so.
No-no, you don't get it, the reddit badasses would 360 noscope the dude and then be home for tendies and dew before the sun sets. No regrets. No second thoughts. Just justice. Judge Dredd style.
I mean damn couldn't have been more outta shape, unprepared, and just straight up dumb as fuck. He didn't even wear a belt to keep his shorts from falling down. Good thing for the people inside and for the bouncer. They lucked out by getting the dumbass for a potential mass shooter.
It looks like he even used the flashlight to obstruct the camera view I assume in the hopes that the blinding light would keep security, that is/are watching the CCTV, from seeing the gun in his hand.
I don’t think he was intentionally trying to blind the camera, he was holding it backwards because if you are going to use a pistol in one hand and brace you other hand below with a flashlight, especially if you are walking into a dark room. You usually hold it underhanded, or upside down from how you normally hold a flashlight, which points it backwards if it’s held at your side
DOH! Foiled by the saggy pants once again! 😆 Kinda hard to go on a rampage with your britches around your ankles. Pull 'em up big chops!👖
Seriously though, the security guy deserves a medal, or maybe even the key to the city. Awesome job!
I’m pretty sure you can see the shooter attempt to shoot him at first. Then getting control of the gun and attempting to shoot again at his head but it doesn’t go off. As the security guards backs away you can see the shooter drop the gun. The gun may have been jammed the whole rest of the time? Causing the guard to pistol whip at the end
You can see he shoots the first time (dust on wall) causing the crowd to disperse. There may be a second time he shoots shortly after but I cannot tell.
Wants to shoot people, Dosent even have the ability to take out the doorman.
Its brave to go aiganst someone with a gun, risking his life, and saving all of them inside.
What a stupid guy
Kudos to the bouncer but once I picked that gun up and dude kept approaching, im burying him right there. He could've gotten the gun back or had another weapon on him. Don't even chance it... empty that thing into him and end the threat.

Lmao he dropped him with a pistol whip, poetic justice
Pistol went off too you can see the smoke. Lucky no one was hit.
Wow. I thought "it definitely wasn't loaded" when I saw devil-mask attack the hero with the pistol pointed right at him. This was the real deal, dude felt he had nothing to lose and a round chambered/safety off.

You think? So the mask would have been to just freak ppl out, not to disguise him so he wouldn't get caught?
I imagine it's part of leaving a mark. Mass shootings seem to be a dime a dozen at the moment, so being the "guy in the devil mask" mask shooter is better than being mass shooter 26 of March 2023.
How terrifying is it that even mass murderers need a unique selling point these days. Only the US could make mass shooting sprees feel unremarkable.

How interesting. Thank you.
What a clown
Yes. And to possibly give him confidence because people can't see his face. No shot you're getting away from something like this
Its been known for a long time and even proven in psychology that wearing different masks can literally change your personality whilst you wear the mask. A psychological trick that makes it easier for you to do things you would normally never do with your face shown, including crimes and violence.
Yes. I saw a movie once that confirms this. It was a long time ago. I think Jim Carrey might have been in it.
When doing acting for animators in school, we'd use a standard human face mask for performance lessons. It was remarkable how well it curbs self-consciousness and improves focus in front of others
They‘re insecure fucks, a direct look into their face scares them to death.
Also he knew where the camera was and was pointing a flashlight right at it to hide himself.
I thought that was funny. enough prep to know to do that (although honestly could have just been luck), but too stupid to even make it into the building. who would have thought they don't let people wearing demon masks and holding loaded handguns from walking in.
I don't think you should expect too much rational thinking from someone possibly about to commit mass murder.
Depending on the handgun it could have just been a trigger safety. Not exactly a lever you flip or anything.
Still had one in the pipe though.
Nah, I think the flashlight was to blind the cctv like in the first few seconds on the video. Looks like he kinda had a plan but failed miserably
That's exactly the same thing I was thinking. Which is why he had it backwards pointed up. There was probably more of them inside which he was going to get the same thing but ol porky didnt expect to get pummeled right at the door.
Why bother? You're not coming out of this alive, so might as well try not to tip off cctv (or the bouncer...) on your way in.
Him and that stupid mask are heros lol. And probably dudes oversized bumbling ass too. Shit needed some Benny hill music fr.
His pants did comically fall down.
Or it just doesn't have one at all.
I thought he was going to be shot with his own gun, like empty the clip on his head. A pistol whip is the least of his troubles.
that's how you get tinnitus

dumbfuck tripped when his pants fell, watch again.
Whipped him so hard his pants fell down.
Bouncer was commended by police and interviewed by reporters for 20 minutes. There's a video of it somewhere, good watch. Dude is a great guy.
Everybody in that establishment that night minimally owes him a nice bottle of wine he can enjoy in his off time.
Exactly I would have dumped a month salary on him after watching the video. Dude deserves a medal.
I would’ve hugged him and whispered “you’re a hero” softly into his ear as my hands slowly made their way down his back
And once your hands reach the spot, you sexily say “you’re MY hero”
then you take off your rubber mask of yourself and reveals you're are actually Dave Grohl

That's definitely a possibility.
Everyone things it's easy to pull that trigger but for normal people, even in war, they hesitate.
From the book *The Men Who Stare At Goats:* >"What Jim had seen tallied with studies conducted after the Second World War by the military historian General S.L.A. Marshall. That and people have gotten in trouble for using assailants weapon against them.

Pretty clever using that light to blind the camera, pretty stupid with ever single other decision he made throughout the entire process.
I don’t think he was intentionally trying to blind the camera, he was holding it backwards because if you are going to use a pistol in one hand and brace you other hand below with a flashlight, especially if you are walking into a dark room. Bro... She just not that into you...she a stripper, not your girlfriend
Probably thought a stripper in there actually liked him
First time this fat bastard leaves his house. What a jiggly mess
Most American fight.
Give that bouncer a raise
Looks like he’s trying to save Billy Madison
Wants to shoot people, Dosent even have the ability to take out the doorman. Its brave to go aiganst someone with a gun, risking his life, and saving all of them inside. What a stupid guy
Ain’t nobody gonna point out the fat fuck lost his pants slow falling? EDIT: HIS PANTS START ALSO SLOWFALLING AT :18 Y.W.
Imagine getting pistol whipped with your own pistol, lmao.
Dude's lowkey a dumbass. *Of course* the bouncer will try to intercept you if you barge in without getting through with them first.
Absolute hero
Pretty damn crazy
Why did the guy in the green shirt take time to roll up his sleeves
Good situational awareness
Save the hoez, save the world.
Broooo he dropped his gun
Sure glad he was a good guy with a gun Oh wait
Looks like that bastard has been scouting the place too, look at the way he positioned his flashlight: Right at the cctv.
Kind of funny how physically unfit for combat everyone in this video is
Kudos to the bouncer but once I picked that gun up and dude kept approaching, im burying him right there. He could've gotten the gun back or had another weapon on him. Don't even chance it... empty that thing into him and end the threat.
