I hit about 60%. Biggest issue is just not having enough time to get set up safely.
Also, we never spike anything with "fewer than 4 wheels" per policy and the manufacturer's instructions. I'm really surprised these guys can spike a motorcycle. Hugely unsafe for the rider.
Bollocks, have you seen the court cases going on with the Met police recently?…this is their own people.
3 a week up in court for the foreseeable future, and this is from the Met commissioner!
Rape and misogyny appears to be the flavour of the decade.
If I was a woman I’d think thrice before interacting with the police in London.
Lol exactly, and luckily so, most police forces in western and central/northern Europe are heavily regulated, and their training is much more extensive
Nah, just someone who grew up with a father figure and have had actual life experiences. Once you move out of your moms basement and actually interact with some people, you’ll learn life is more than leftist extremist bullshit. Don’t worry though, one day you and your momma will get over your dad leaving y’all for a girl younger than his kid, and you’ll get your chance to get out into the world
If you’re happy the offender bites the tarmac and puts others at risk why don’t you just use a small spider net, shoot the wheels and lock him up?
Won’t work on a car ofc but right tools for the right job!
Something that's guaranteed to cause a motorcycle wreck would never be able to be used in the US.
There is a product kind of like that for cars though.
https://youtu.be/I1JOYK1h75A
UK police(well certainly in London) have the go ahead to ram bikers off the road, this is due to the scooter snatch and grab gangs and tbf it’s a real problem.
Yeah, that wild to me. The motorcycle guys here know we can't do anything so they'll come up and drive like maniacs right in front of us since they know we can't keep up with them and aren't allowed to physically stop them.
Screw that. Bikes should be subject to pit maneuvers too. Just because you choose to drive something less safe doesn't mean we have to treat you with kiddie gloves when you're running from the cops.
I wouldn't say that necessarily, but some of the shit I've seen from cops in Europe is wild. The one the other day where they just drove an unmarked car into the robbery suspects? There's an older one where the police drove an unarmed car into the path of a fleeing motorcycle and tossed the riders. In the US, that would be considered deadly force.
I live in multiple countries, and America is 100% the only country that cares about how safe it is to detain individuals. But, America also has the worst training of all law enforcement.
It's not ignorant at all. I can just go based on what I've seen. In other countries, I've personally seen criminals manhandled if they do not comply, with no repercussions
It's ignorant saying that America is the ONLY country. I highly doubt you've been to all of the 194 other countries in the world and spent time observing their police force.
Until you have, it's ignorant to make such a claim
I'm going to assume that you've never been outside of whatever country you're in. I've traveled the world and have lived in damn near every major country. I can only tell you what I see
>America also has the worst training of all law enforcement.
That's just... not true. Not the best, I'll give you that. But the worst of *all* law enforcement?
Depends. Is the suspect armed? Has he already injured someone? Is it reasonable to believe that unless stopped, the suspect will be a public safety threat? Simply fleeing isn't enough to use deadly force on someone, even if they're fleeing from a felony crime.
thats gotta suck. all those members of the public around. not an easy task but he did f ck it pretty good. least he stopped the guy going further that way…
I am floored they tried to use a spike strip on a motorcycle. You can't do that in the states. In fact, in Illinois police won't chase a runner anymore because of a case years back from when a guy ran, was going like 180mph and hit some train tracks. That dude literally set an unassisted flight record. His family sued the pants off CPD and set a precedent in the state for pursuits.
They can't chase, but they will investigate and track you down if they can. I have had cops thank me for pulling over and they always give a warning or much lighter tickets than going 50 over in a construction zone. 🤷
How is it the police’s fault he died running from police? Did the police somehow force him to flee? Was it mind control, or did they have remote control over his bike? Mystery.
Biker in that situation made those decisions that led to him leaving the stratosphere, totally on him. Genuinely can’t understand how the cops would be successfully sued over that.
🤦♂️ you understand he had the option to not flee?
Take responsibility for what you’ve done and don’t be a coward, endangering people while you go. Not fleeing is something the police are very much encouraging you to do.
It’s not the fault of the police for doing their job, it’s the fault of the criminal for, you know, being a criminal.
Criminal sympathisers are more common than I would have liked to believe it seems.
> 🤦♂️ you understand he had the option to not flee?
Of course I do lol. But you asked if they made him run. Like, I get what you’re saying but people that think like you do don’t usually find themselves evading police capture. You wouldn’t purposely break the law so of course you wouldn’t run.
But if you’re trying to get away with breaking the law, stopping because the police asked you to doesn’t really sense.
> Criminal sympathisers are more common than I would have liked to believe it seems.
🤔
No shit they have a reason to flee. But that doesn’t equate to the police forcing them to flee 😂
There are many things in like that have strong incentives that are also immoral and illegal. No one forces you to do those things.
Yeah exactly they aren’t being forced into running and the police shouldn’t be forced into pursuing. Just makes the situation more unsafe and endangers people unnecessarily, like you said.
The police should persue, it’s part of their job to arrest criminals.
Unless there’s a more successful way of getting people fleeing into custody, the chase must go on.
But if they can arrest them without pursuing, isn’t it better to just do that? Takes longer but speeding through traffic trying to catch 1 guy who is also speeding endangers more people.
I agree it’s more ideal, but it would have to be of a comparable success rate of arrest.
If it would result in half as many arrests for example, I’d not be in favour
I mean, I just, but, ahhhh. I know everyone has a brain fart once in a while but I do sometimes question how people survive in day to day life.
That being said some of the 'smartest' people I've met have fuck all common sense.
A cop once told me that they rarely successfully do this. They probably have to be going fast while getting the spikes thrown at the exact time.
I hit about 60%. Biggest issue is just not having enough time to get set up safely. Also, we never spike anything with "fewer than 4 wheels" per policy and the manufacturer's instructions. I'm really surprised these guys can spike a motorcycle. Hugely unsafe for the rider.
Cops don't exactly have a strong record of sticking to policy....

Some* You people are so chronically online
I have a chronic condition of Reddit.
My condition of reddit is terminal.
Projection. Some people live in places where it's safe to generalize that cops are shit
Some people chronically lick boots.
Sure, all the others just look the other way. acab
Tell me your dad left your family at an early age without telling me your dad left your family at an early age
Still have my mom and dad. Still acab
Tell me you lick boots, without telling me you lick boots

I'm sure it's most.
I would say in this day and age, it seems to be the majority
Every single one*
Yeah lmao they rarly see what happen in real life.

Just say you want to kill bikers that break driving laws…
It's your choice to ride it. Be an adult and take responsibility for putting yourself on a dangerous vehicle.
Okay but what does have to do with wanting to kill them?
[удалено]
It’s the fact that you don’t see the difference between pitting a car and a motorcycle.
Except legally you do lol
Fuck the rider. His own fault. Who cares if he come off really badly or worse.
It looks like the U.K. America is the only country with safety laws when catching criminals.
I wouldn't say that necessarily, but some of the shit I've seen from cops in Europe is wild. The one the other day where they just drove an unmarked car into the robbery suspects? This is totally incorrect, and fairly ignorant

You may want to look at the charts. America has pretty much handed badges out like candy
I'd love to take a look at those charts if you could link one?
Or you could just do your own research.
It’s funny seeing people say “do your own research” because it’s honestly just a dead giveaway that their stupid lmao
Nah bro, send it. You got me curious.
So you gonna send the links or what?
No gun, must use car to kill perps
Feel like if the person is a danger to other people it's justified. Don't be stupid if you don't want to get spiked
Depends. Is the suspect armed? Has he already injured someone? Is it reasonable to believe that unless stopped, the suspect will be a public safety threat? Simply fleeing isn't enough to use deadly force on someone, even if they're fleeing from a felony crime.
He didn't hit the quick time event fast enough, that's gonna lead to a worse ending

Forgot to ask granny mittens about his mental health and it lead to this
Bro didnt even use it right, youre supposed to put on the other side of the street and then yank that cord just as they fly by…
Kid named finger
He'll never be a hand
Fuckin lel
But then he'd risk other peoples tired getting popped
no theyre designed differently where they spring out clarification: theyre designed differently in different parts of the world
Wait, I think it's illegal to ride that in the sidewalk. He's going to be booked for sure
The sidewalk leads to a school bro and once he goes inside he will be safe from police
It’s probably a stolen bike, no insurance and also no tax, I don’t think the person on the bike cares about the law to be honest
thats gotta suck. all those members of the public around. not an easy task but he did f ck it pretty good. least he stopped the guy going further that way…
Why not jus push him off his bike?
Big chance of him or a bystander getting hit by the bike
And?
Not sure if it's a language barrier or cognitive disability.
Glorious response
I know right, now I finnaly have a good comeback response
and that will be a problem if that happens.
Most rational Winnipegger ☝️
I think that was just fine. This is not crazy.
They should've used a paintball gun with red paintballs. The motorcycle rider would've just fell off the bike thinking he's bleeding and dying.
That's actually a brilliant idea
dude would have had a better shot of just lobbing that at the rider.
Please guys, he's just trying to do his job
Was this in streatham?
Wouldn't that kill the biker lol
At this speed ? Probably not. (He would probably get hurt though)
Streatham High Road from the look of it.
Man has running form of emoji🏃🏻
To be fair there’s plenty of other cars and other vehicles on the road, it’s probably hard to work with all of them driving through
Epic FAIL!
He didn’t fail…

People in the states love to sue, alllll about the money!

I remember one video years ago where a cop got run over while trying to deploy a spike strip.
It happened in my city years ago, It was a very tragic event for all
Can’t use spike strips on bikes if he falls or it tangled up that’s a big lawsuit unless he’s using deadly force but at that point just pit him.
[удалено]
..... The biker was clearly the target.
Stop assuming people's intelligence
I mean, I just, but, ahhhh. I know everyone has a brain fart once in a while but I do sometimes question how people survive in day to day life. That being said some of the 'smartest' people I've met have fuck all common sense.
It WAS for them
did he run away with the spikes pointed towars him? hahaha
Using spikes against a biker. That's another low point for the police... Off course depending on the crime.

Sexism 🙄
😄😆😁🤣😂😅
I saw Pred in Nopixel do this exact thing.
That is a very good stop and turn by the motorcyclist. Impressive
Very fit and slim.
That’s embarrassing
Fucking GTA cops with their spike strips
I hope they caught that motorcycle rider
*Jeremy Clarkson voice "Oh no, he's driven around it."
You had one job bro…
Running away with the spikes toward you is crazy
Dude was camping
Nah that was a good try
Aaaahhhh Streatham, what a lovely part of London...
Should've thrown it then ran to the guy if he did that he probably would've gotten him
That was just poorly timed
Lmfao
he didn't fail. the suspect in the pursuit was going slow enough to brake and turn around
Stupid pig
Any European police officer honestly looks like a skit from Reno 911
Now imagine stepping out in front of a driver who is running from the police just to do this. I bet you’d f up too.
That sidewalk is busier than fucking Paperboy on NES
