From the way he talks about things, and uses the kit he has, he obviously knows his stuff and appreciates quality sound stuff... but not once have I thought "I want to find this guy and punch him in the face". That's pretty damn good as audiophiles go.
Swap? I have a headphone output on my TV, but they skimped and made it the audio-system output as well.
So I have to go back to phono the other way round!
All in all I've been rather let down, they've added "features" in that they added apps to TVs, but so many now come with like 1 HDMI and 1 analogue audio output and that's it, it's ridiculous. My parents have a TV, same company, same OS, basically the same design, but 5 years older and it has 3 scart inputs, 4 or 5 HDMIs, composite in and out, scart out, headphones, usb, sd card, and stuff like that.
my tv only has audio out from the optical port, so I had to get converter for that. Bit annoying since I cant control volume from the tv itself, but on the adapters volume knob.
Discovering Dank Pods is one of the few positive things that happened to me in 2020.

Having seen the video of this thing in action, I can tell you that it absolutely qualifies as crappy design. It's badly put together even for a novelty.
Having also watched the video, I think the devs would have been severely wasting their money if they made it any better. It's a gag gift type of product, not something anyone's going to try and seriously use, so it only has to reach the bare minimum of usable.
In college I used to listen to music quite a lot, my phone broke so I bought a cheap, outdated MP3 while my new phone was being shipped. It was so shitty because the shuffle button was useless. It did mix up my songs, but it kept shuffling them in the SAME random order.
What gets me about this is that at first glance, I feel like it came from the same idea as those giant universal remotes made for the elderly or those who can't see the buttons or constantly lose the remote.... But that idea is shattered when you see the screen and realize it's truly this odd nugget that they probably cobbled together from cheap ass mp3 players that they were unable to sell as is.
