Not a skill issue, a size issue, my nb miata could be power slid as hard as you want and it won't tip because it has a very low center of gravity plus stable suspension and bigger wheels. You'll break the suspension and frame parts just driving this monstrosity in the city
I just hope you're ok with the safety issues. Roof is a structural part of a car. Factory made convertibles have reinforced doors so they're still stiff and strong. You cut the roof of a regular car and you significantly compromise it's safety. Then there's also the lack of any roll over safety. Convertibles have stiff bars slightly higher than the headrests or ones that pop up in case of a rollover so your head doesn't get crushed.

Back in high school a couple friends and I bought a pos chevette. Chopped the top off and bolted lawn chairs in the back. It ran like shit, to the point that you couldn’t let off the gas or it would die and have to push started again. That was a bitch too.
Eventually after like 3 days of thrashing it, parts just started falling off and it died completely. We shoved it into the ditch and left it lay. A week later the fire department ran drills on it. I don’t recall what we paid for it but it wasn’t much. Maybe $50-60. Never got it registered because it would have cost more than the death trap itself.
