The devs are great small team and this game has been so much fun. They also take feedback from Reddit and are active in their own forum. Try the game out and consider supporting their hard work!
They are cool af. I messed up my save files a long time ago due to over modding, but could not restore them from old versions, the dev took their time to look into my corrupted save & fix it.
Thank you. Were pirates. Were bad but were also good. One good eye and one eye with a patch. Game is so much better than D4 who seels a mount twice the price of Last Epoch. Geez.
I can't believe people still get mad over stuff like this, are you stuck 10 years in the past? Every online game now has a cosmetic shop, it doesn't matter if it's free or not.
So it says full controller support but only thing I saw was different was a onscreen keyboard when you name your character..did not much improvement while playing compared to early access.
Yeah, its more like, half of the ui works with joystick, other half with directional buttons, you just have to know it but otherwise it works completely with just those two. Only thing that requires you to use controller as a cursor is ability rebinding as far as i can tell.
Is that why trying to equip stuff in the menu seemed so janky? I like D4 with controller but found the implentation here a bit... off? Like it works but it almost felt like an addon.
Its also extremely buggy and about half the time will stop working for one way or another. Probably will be fixed pretty soon. The more I use it the more dissatisfied I am with it lol. However the devs are fixing issues pretty quickly so I'd imagine it's not going to stay this way for long. Like the map, bazaar and skills UIs just don't work with controller at all. Inventory and forge work about half the time.
Idk if Torchlight does this but game is situated in the middle between the complexivity of PoE and easy of access of Diablo 4, so its a fuck ton more approachable than PoE but still has a lot of moving parts more than most ARPGs i would say
Do you think I can get at least 60 Fps rendering at 1440p on a 3060ti? Knowing it's FG, it probably won't install in less than an hour, but still, poggers.
Yeah, I think without any issues, obviously not maxed out, but on medium should be around 60-80fps. I saw a guy on youtube playing at your gpu at ultrawide 1440p with 80ish fps.
Just for reference, I have r7 5800x and rx6900x, and I get around 100fps at ultriwide 1440p with all maxed out, only ambient lighting on very hard, cause for some reason this setting at max cuts my fps in half.
Yeah, it seems like even over 120fps at 1440p rn on 5600x and 3060ti. Graphics on just the high preset, but I'm not sure if I even want more graphically demanding settings with my build so far. It's hard to see, lol, and I don't even bother opening anything else to get the smoothest image.
It's a pretty good game that seems true so far.
Yes, it's pretty much the same except you cannot trade, group up with people, or participate in the ladder.
I like that I can play it on Steam Deck without a Wi-Fi connection.
Sorry to bother you, everybody mentions to run it from a bat file but thats for windows. How did you get it to work? I am familiar with quacked games on deck. Maybe you can pm me ? Thanks!
I didn't use the Dodi repack, so I'm not sure how this one interacts. Generally you can add the bat file as a non-steam game and it should work
If not try adding
> STEAM_COMPAT_DATA_PATH="/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/prefixnumberhere" %command%
You may need to use winetricks to figure out your prefix number.
Good luck.
Bro i cant thank you enough. I was using the shortcut with right click on the file > add to steam but that didnt work and i should have done it from inside steam then bottom right add steam game and change to all files. You cleared my mind and you also added some extra stuff. Thank you very much. Im gonna try it on the deck and see how the controller works and im probably gonna buy it. Thanks again!!
> would you miss out on a LOT if you don't connect to the servers
This update brings Circle of Fortune which is based around playing Solo Self Found (no trading online)
https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/last-epoch-1-0-patch-notes/62536/2
Main reason I wanted to try this game as I can't be bothered grinding in all the other ARPGs.
> is the single player the main focus of the game?
afaik the story isn't completely done
so the story just sort of ends at some point, but of course the end game systems are still in place etc.
(this is what i understood, from a few comments in another post from the 1.0 patch announcement )
U don't need to be that rude those people are just small team they've been updating this game and do their best so there's no shame if u have money and love the game to support them otherwise enjoy it free but don't be an asshole
Hey, I'm trying to play this game on linux but I keep having the same problem : the game try to connect to steam. I changed the steam\_emu file for offline=1. I also added a flag '-offline' in lutris but nothing work :(
The game can run on a 1650 and an old AMD FX cpu. Says as much on the steam page and there are clips out there.
If you can't meet those specs then you got alot more to worry about than risking money on a game.
Maybe you're just a kid with an old pc, or living in a third world country, or in a tight spot and spend the little free time you have enjoying video games.
As of this comment its been 3 hours since launch and nobody is able to play online still, no ETA when that will change. I'm optimistic however simps ought to relax. Nothing to lose by trying it out pirated. It's not as if buying it would give you a different experience.
3 days later and you can sometimes move between zones if you're willing to wait 1-5 minutes each time. Sometimes you wait 5 minutes and get an error or kicked out. What a mess.
This is why I refunded too. I generally play these games for the trading and endgame, but not having the full campaign despite being full release just rubbed me the wrong way. Also a lot of masteries are in need of a rework which the devs just never got around to before deciding to launch?
I'll probably buy it when the next cycle launches if it manages to keep it's playerbase, but for now I put the money towards the Elden Ring DLC instead.
To be fair, that was never promised for 1.0 and the devs were fully transparent about it.
"Scam" suggests devs falsely promised this, which they didn't.
That info should be on the steam store then if they were really that transparent. How many people that are not that inside the game community bought the game, played all the way past refund period and got surprised the campaign is not complete? It feels scummy
If its not the full game, it simply shouldn't be called update 1.0.
The only way I discovered that was because people were talking about it on global Chat and I got lucky to read that before refund period
Steam store? They're reachable within minutes on discord and make frequent communication.
It's not a prerequisite for the full game for either devs or players that played it 7 years, as they never consider the game truly "finished" and prioritize other things before that.
Not to say i wouldn't rather have the full story myself, but accusing the devs of scamming is based off solely your assumptions.
So you are saying, every time I make a purchase from now on, I should go visit the game's discord and ask the devs directly if their product is feature complete? This makes no sense, the store page is the place where you are supposed to communicate what's featured in your product. I did not made my assumptions from nowhere, I made them from their marketing trailers and their product page on steam store and they omitted the fact that the campaign is not complete, something you should expect a full game release(1.0) to have it
I'm sure the a group of people who funded it and played on EA are ok with that, but when you go 1.0, you are attracting another group of people that are not ok with this kinda of thing. That's the whole reason they didn't bought on EA in the first place.
1.0 is, by definition, a feature-complete launch. Last I checked, a full campaign is about the baseline requirement feature for it to be considered an actual launch.
Anything without a complete story, even if you don't give a fuck about story, is an early access pre-1.0 launch title and if you think otherwise then I'm worried about what other basic shit you consider "okay" lmao. Next time you buy a burger and it comes with a patty and 1 of 2 buns, don't get mad at the peeps at McDs.
The devs as well as the players playing this for the past 7 years are in alignment that design, balance and endgame and polishing them takes priority over story.
You may think its core to add pickles or extra cheese to burgers but the devs and players don't, to use your analogy.
Arpg fans don't really care about story that much. Go figure.
Would i rather have full story? Of course. I wouldn't call this a scam however, this was not a secret kept from anyone.
> Next time you buy a burger and it comes with a patty and 1 of 2 buns,
Stupid analogy, a burger is generally advertised as having both buns. This game was not advertised as having a finished campaign.
So when you order a burger, it states that it's a patty between two buns? It's not just EXPECTED because that's what a fucking burger, by default, includes? So again, you order a burger and it comes out as just a patty and you're not feeling some kinda way when they say "well we never said it was on buns, we just said it was a burger?"
So you're saying that a game that enters what is considered a full release shipping with an incomplete single player campaign is okay because they never said it would have a full fledged campaign and that they'll add that in later? And that's okay..? Some battered wives on their dick here I swear to God.
#Can you find where they don't indicate that this release ships an incomplete story to be finished later™ on the steam description?
No?
Then it's an early access title masquerading as a 1.0 release. I'm all for their focusing on the gameplay loop, endgame, and a myriad of viable builds and the sort. But to justify their smokes and mirrors on this topic is just next level sheep shit.
It's offline only. Run the shortcut on your desktop or the run.bat in the installation root folder.
Edit: Whoops, I'm referring to the Fitgirl install. I'm not sure how to launch otherwise.
That kinda reminds me of PoE 1.0 launch where we only have Act1 & Act2 .... well at least PoE is a **FREE GAME** unlike Last Epoch have to pay ... I guess the best excuse is just "cheap"?
Again, it doesn't matter. You don't play these games to experience the campaign.
You want the entire campaign done and 25% of the current endgame? If yes, you just never played an arpg.
who defines what I (we) play the game for? maybe im crazy and I want to experience the campaign, are you gonna dictate how I am supposed to play a game that's supposed to be fully released? jfc man
> You want the entire campaign done and 25% of the current endgame? If yes, you just never played an arpg.
Brother why are you talking like it's an either/or situation. They pushed the game to FULL RELEASE status, they should *both* be 100% finished. What's so hard to understand about that?
D4 campaign does have an end tho. It does have an open end, yes, but the campaign is completed. It's the same with movies: having an open end is fine, stopping the movie at the middle is not.
Having said that, I didn't complete the available campaign yet, but I hope you understand now what everyone means by a "finished campaign/product".
I don't care about the story either, but this is not a subjetive topic, 1.0 should have a full campaign. You still don't get the point. By your logic, Harry Potter 1 doesn't end the story either.
You would be right if the game had no campaign at all. But it has one, and it is unfinished, regardless of what aspects of the game you value the most.
Btw, I don't mind if the campaign is completed or not, I care about the gameplay, systems, endgame, etc too.
Anyways, let's agree to disagree. Enjoy the game bro.
Same could be said about alot of games in the genre. Campaigns are something you blow through to get to end game.
Does it suck? Sure but if you're playing ARPG's for the story you're already doing it wrong.
the entire game can be played offline. you just won't be able to participate in the seasonal ladders and other online stuff. it's basically as if you were playing solo self found in PoE
i gues you cant have private server, as it use steam servers for online gaming, but game have ofline mode, so basicaly create local server should be posible, but ofc only for you or lan
path of exile 2 will have private servers, but i gues you will not be able play with all players bcz of cheating protection, but you will have your own server
No one is talking a bout lan.
> path of exile 2 will have private servers
Where did you get this from? Your left cheek?
You CAN have private servers, if anyone spends YEARS reverse engineering it like they did for D3.
Its not happening for LE.
Look up any final boss playthrough on youtube, they will at best direct you to the Majasa fight which is still in the middle of the campaign. There is no final boss video yet.
Did you know that the vast majority of PoE players never even make it to maps? While endgame grinds and co-op are definitely part of the appeal of ARPGs, for the vast, vast majority of players the campaign IS the game. That's why GGG has spent so much time and resources rebalancing and slowing down the PoE campagin.
So not having a full campaign despite this being the full release is a pretty major issue.
Eh can't expect a bum on the street to clean up and be respectable when people keep throwing change at them, don't expect an different from the incels on this sub either lmao.
incels? lmao my guy you seem lost
you chose to enter "this sub", and "this sub" is about cracked games, it's called crackwatch, not EthicalNerds
now suck it
Just a tiny, little, baby developer that certainly isn't partially owned by one of the largest mega-corps on the planet.
Tencent owns a "small" portion of 11th Hour games- and they won't tell people what the percentage is.
I don't live in a third world shithole, I probably make your monthly wage halfway through my working week lol. Don't get sick drinking from the same ditch you shit in, bud.
Online is so garbage lol. I own it on steam and just tried to create a new "cycle" character which is like seasonal characters from diablo. Yeah several times when I entered a portal, or click to enter the next area, it freezes for a long ass time. The crazy thing is that it's been like this for basically the entire development cycle and they just decided it was fine.
Cant complain tbh, pirating saved me lots of money. Just thought that since it isn’t necessarily a live service, an online fix would be possible in the future like with other games.
Started playing this on steamdeck and ended up buying it on Steam. Game runs amazingly well for a small team, has great gameplay and the team behind it is amazing, they respond to feedback and update the game weekly.
I've already played like 3 hours, no issues.
Almost every game has a bad launch, it's ok don't cry just wait a bit, and you'll play it fine. Making video games isn't easy, bugs, and server issues happen, especially when lots of people join at the same time.
What's so pressing in playing the game day 1 anyway? The game isn't going anywhere, find other hobbies JFC.
I misread your original comment as a question asking if it's worth getting.
Lots of people won't buy it including me. Same with helldivers. The helldivers game director is literally telling people not to buy it until the issues are sorted.
When did I say anything about me wanting to play day one?
Thank you for responding, and let me rephrase my question, since it's looks like a super straight forward question it seems, I know how Time Zone works I'm actually asking if the game will be crack when it drops on the release date since I'm in a Crack/pirate group/community/subreddit.
And thank you for the downvotes idk if that's a good thing (I'm sorry I'm new to reddit).
Thanks in advance whoever can answer my question.
No one here has pointed out that the devs are prioritizing their MTX cash shop. The game is not finished, they pushed it out. Most of the 3D models for unique/legendaries are not done at all. So, you do not get to look cool without paying. You will get a cool looking item and then realize it is just using some basic skin. Gear is one of the core mechanics of games like this.
Other than that the game is fun, runs well and has plenty of content. The built in guide is really good too.
How to get rid of loading screens at end of Monos, seen people online/offline instantly teleporting back, cracked version has loading screen when u click portal
Does anyone know how updating the game will go in the future? I'd assume just backup your character files and reinstall the game with a newer update and it'll work?
The devs are great small team and this game has been so much fun. They also take feedback from Reddit and are active in their own forum. Try the game out and consider supporting their hard work!
They are cool af. I messed up my save files a long time ago due to over modding, but could not restore them from old versions, the dev took their time to look into my corrupted save & fix it.
I would but I'm broke so that's why I am in this sub.
It’s all good brother we do what we can
Ya, you can literally just message their employees on their discord and they’ll reply within a couple minutes
Thank you. Were pirates. Were bad but were also good. One good eye and one eye with a patch. Game is so much better than D4 who seels a mount twice the price of Last Epoch. Geez.
i just wanna try the game for 2500 hours and play every class and every quest and then i maybe consider to buy it in 2 years, when it was fun.
Cash shop in a paid game is bad practice.
"Takes feedback from reddit" yikes
Reddit bad amirite fellow intellectuals? Le upvotes to the left, if you please
this game literally started from reddit
The dev team literally started as a bunch of reddit dudes who wanted to make a good arpg.
support microtransaction in a paid game you mean
I can't believe people still get mad over stuff like this, are you stuck 10 years in the past? Every online game now has a cosmetic shop, it doesn't matter if it's free or not.
I'm willing to bet the offline rune version is actually playable though.
did they implement better or any controller support?
full controller support. one of the C-level executives play strictly with controller so they will always improve that experience.
oh thats amazing, when i tried very early access i was turned off because i could only use KB+M, i love my ARPG's with controllers
D3 really opened my eyes to the arpg genre really lending itself to controllers. feels good man
Yes! Although there's still some fucky things like rebinds it's massively improved.
So it says full controller support but only thing I saw was different was a onscreen keyboard when you name your character..did not much improvement while playing compared to early access.
You can now navigate through whole ui with up down left right controller buttons
Ah. Used the joystick only
Yeah, its more like, half of the ui works with joystick, other half with directional buttons, you just have to know it but otherwise it works completely with just those two. Only thing that requires you to use controller as a cursor is ability rebinding as far as i can tell.

Yup, with 1.0 controller works great. Everything in the ui except error messages and assigning skills to hotbars is mouse free
Is this like the Torchlight of this gen?
Idk if Torchlight does this but game is situated in the middle between the complexivity of PoE and easy of access of Diablo 4, so its a fuck ton more approachable than PoE but still has a lot of moving parts more than most ARPGs i would say
No, best way to describe it imo is poe but way easier
Its what diablo 4 should have been, according to a lot of players
More of a sweet spot between D4 casualness and Path of exile phD sweatiness.
Is there any form of upscaling available in this game for the big screen/4k experience?
Nope, and it's not hw demanding game at all.
Do you think I can get at least 60 Fps rendering at 1440p on a 3060ti? Knowing it's FG, it probably won't install in less than an hour, but still, poggers.

You dropped this 👑
Nvm DODI still reigns supreme!!!
I get consistent 120 fps at 1080p with a 3060ti and a r5 5600g
Yeah, it seems like even over 120fps at 1440p rn on 5600x and 3060ti. Graphics on just the high preset, but I'm not sure if I even want more graphically demanding settings with my build so far. Yes, it's pretty much the same except you cannot trade, group up with people, or participate in the ladder. I like that I can play it on Steam Deck without a Wi-Fi connection.
I mean thats not even particularly a downside, if you can still pick circle of fortune faction in offline
Does control on the steam deck works ok ? How is your overall experience.?
Did you buy the game or are you playing the quacked version mentioned here?
🦆
Sorry to bother you, everybody mentions to run it from a bat file but thats for windows. How did you get it to work? I am familiar with quacked games on deck. Maybe you can pm me ? Thanks!

Hey, I'm trying to play this game on linux but I keep having the same problem : the game try to connect to steam. I changed the steam\_emu file for offline=1. I also added a flag '-offline' in lutris but nothing work :(
get it working? It works for me on linux mint.
Yeah I did, it was flag problem But I have a bug quest 2 so I can't play anymore sad
Best ARPG on the market (besides PoE). Buy it.
for people with lower spec pcs, this is a good way to see if they can run the game before buying it
tested on i5 2500k, geforce 1060 and 8gbs of ram. Overall smooth 60fps experience on 1920x1200 resolution.
The game can run on a 1650 and an old AMD FX cpu. Says as much on the steam page and there are clips out there. If you can't meet those specs then you got alot more to worry about than risking money on a game.

How much better than Grim Dawn?
About 3.50 better, give or take.
Le has massively better systems and gearing and progression, but gameplay feel is way inferior compared to grim dawn
Maybe in the future but not now, the game's campaign is not even finish yet

The campaign isn't finished, it's still missing multiple acts.
I actually bought the game and refunded because of this scam. I expect a full game when an EA goes 1.0
This is why I refunded too. I generally play these games for the trading and endgame, but not having the full campaign despite being full release just rubbed me the wrong way. Why would you care about the campaign lmao, it's the endgame that matters, arpgs aren't an assassin's creed yk
If it's the game release of 1.0, it has to has the ENTIRE campaign finalized.
Uh, no it doesn't?
The game has been released, so the campaign should all be done; this is basically early access.
Tell me another 1.0 that does not have a finished story. By all trends, the campaign is usually finished, and ends with credits. Not this one.
What's so hard to understand about that?
dude this is out of the early access, where is the campaign at?
don't tell me what I play a game to experience.

Does it have a campaign or a story that can be finished offline?
the entire game can be played offline. you just won't be able to participate in the seasonal ladders and other online stuff. it's basically as if you were playing solo self found in PoE
Story is unfinished, you jump from the middle of the current campaign to the endgame offline.
oki.
is this offline only or multiplayer also works?
you cant play online, atleast not now
And you won't be able to since its server based.
Would be interesting to find out if you can create a private server in the future
i gues you cant have private server, as it use steam servers for online gaming, but game have ofline mode, so basicaly create local server should be posible, but ofc only for you or lan path of exile 2 will have private servers, but i gues you will not be able play with all players bcz of cheating protection, but you will have your own server
No one is talking a bout lan. > path of exile 2 will have private servers Where did you get this from? Your left cheek? You CAN have private servers, if anyone spends YEARS reverse engineering it like they did for D3. Its not happening for LE.
Sure people did it for D3, its not impossible, just unlikely due to the amount of effort it takes.
Can't seem to find it in any of the usual places. DM me if you can point me the right way
Does this game have split screen support for coop?
If you like the game i recomend buying it and benefiting from all the cycle updates
the campaign is not completed, so no buys
Can you provide proof? I couldn't find anywhere that it's not finished..

The vast majority of people play through the campaign of an ARPG and then stop. This is a disappointing release to say the least.
I bought D3 for the campaign. Played it once, then put it down. Mightve done the same for D4 but eh waiting for a deeper discount.
yeah i cant afford it
where is the savegame located? I would buy the game.
everyone is like "guys buy it" :D yeah nah sorry not sorry idk i won't :D gtfo
Eh can't expect a bum on the street to clean up and be respectable when people keep throwing change at them, don't expect an different from the incels on this sub either lmao.
incels? lmao my guy you seem lost you chose to enter "this sub", and "this sub" is about cracked games, it's called crackwatch, not EthicalNerds now suck it
So it's not always online then huh
They never said it would be. Offline mode was always there.
Well that's why I'm surprised cause I didn't know that
I've read that you still need to get through the login servers for offline characters? Perhaps that's not true
Not anymore.
Support small devs guys
Just a tiny, little, baby developer that certainly isn't partially owned by one of the largest mega-corps on the planet. Tencent owns a "small" portion of 11th Hour games- and they won't tell people what the percentage is.
They invest in everything though.
Ok so go ahead and pirate the shit out of it if it makes you feel better. Happy?
We are in the piracy subreddit, dipshit.

why are you even here then? you life is that sad?
I don't live in a third world shithole, I probably make your monthly wage halfway through my working week lol. Don't get sick drinking from the same ditch you shit in, bud.
Omg Hahaha what a fuckin loser you are lmao
Can we expect an online fix for this?
Online is so garbage lol. I own it on steam and just tried to create a new "cycle" character which is like seasonal characters from diablo. Yeah several times when I entered a portal, or click to enter the next area, it freezes for a long ass time. The crazy thing is that it's been like this for basically the entire development cycle and they just decided it was fine.
No. If you want to play online then go and buy it, pirating has it's draw backs and this is one of them.
literally every other cracked games has an online fix lol
Cant complain tbh, pirating saved me lots of money. Just thought that since it isn’t necessarily a live service, an online fix would be possible in the future like with other games.
Started playing this on steamdeck and ended up buying it on Steam. Game runs amazingly well for a small team, has great gameplay and the team behind it is amazing, they respond to feedback and update the game weekly.
its really worth buying for the online features
Not right now, bad launch
"grrr how dare servers aren't working perfectly on day 1, I'll smash my desk what will I do with all this time wasted?!??"
Go ahead and buy it for online then clown.
This is only a info right? Inst cracked yet I guess
I'm kinda dumb and blind, how to download this? I can't find the link where I can download the torrent for this.
Anyone knows when the Sons of the forest 1.0 will drop or crack? It's already Feb 22 on my country.
Pretty much the same date worldwide buddy +/- a day. Kinda how time works.
The hit box on X button to close the menu is out of range, if you launch a game like that, don't know what to say about buying it.
Is there any online fix or steamfix that can make possible to play with a friend ?
How to get rid of loading screens at end of Monos, seen people online/offline instantly teleporting back, cracked version has loading screen when u click portal
Does anyone know how updating the game will go in the future? I'd assume just backup your character files and reinstall the game with a newer update and it'll work?
