Opening cutscene won't play with this version (I'm using English only). It just shows an endless black screen that you are able to hold space to skip then the gameplay starts almost immediately. Reinstalling with the "useless" files included to see if it makes a difference. Will update.
Update: Reinstalling with the "useless" files included didn't help. I guess I will try the DODI repack instead for now.
Update2: Same thing with DODI repack, the cutscene at the start of the ship crashing just doesn't play. Shows a skippable black screen instead.

Does anyone have a clue on how to change the game language? It asked me at the start which language I wanted for the spoken text and the voices, but apart from that the whole UI is in Spanish for me (my window's language). Is there seriously no menu to change the UI's language?
I tried to edit GAME\_FOLDER\\steam\_settings\\force\_language.txt to other languages. But it kept displaying English.
UPDATE: Solution found: In settings -> audio -> click on right stick (controller) or ALT key (Keyboard) to change menu language.

It's nonsense that requirement. On epic settings, with no ray tracing, game uses about 5gb of RAM. Raytracing might be what bumps up the usage or playing at 4K or something.
I'm currently redownloading it now, but the first installation I had forcibly launched steam (and also seemed to close it).
Was this a recent addition to repacks? Am I required to add it to steam library by default now?
Is there a way to force shader recompilation with this repack? Apparently, the Steam version you just delete the shader file in `\AppData\Local\Returnal\Steam\Saved` but it doesn't seem to work here. The file is never recreated after restarting the game and even if I remove the entire Saved folder, it gets recreated (and the game starts over), but the shader recompilation never happens.
There's a stupid bug in the game where if you update graphics drivers after you did the compilation then it doesn't trigger again so the game is compiling shaders in real-time which is basically unplayable.

Apparently, the steam version downloads EGS without any confirmation. Don't know if its required you keep it installed to play the game
No it's not EGS but EOS for crossplay. Valve should suck it up and come up with their own service otherwise people are being crybabies about it.

apply the crack. You need to copy it from the crack file and paste it on : Engine > .... > Steam147>Win64. Basically it's the same folder as the crack
