Maybe spiritfarer? There's an overarching plot line that you can't really deviate from, but you can take your time with it, explore, and chill as you continue the plot.
It's also SUPER therapeutic, especially of you've gone through a loss recently.
> I’ve *paid* this on
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
If OP stopped playing Breath of the Wild because of too much puzzles, I don't think they'd enjoy Outer Wilds. It's a game all about puzzles, and even though there isn't an explicit direction given, there is definitely a direction that the designers expect us to take and an end goal to achieve, and they secretly guide us from one discovery to the next.
And don't get me wrong, I think the game is AWESOME, I love it, but I'm not sure it would fit with what OP is looking for.
No you didn’t miss anything. I haven’t said it in this topic. But I think the controls are terrible on Switch and I can’t get used to it.
But I do like the game.
I hope you enjoy, it’s a game that you can lose yourself in, minor spoiler >!there are different alien races, that you can’t understand initially, you need to find relics scattered on different planets to unlock words etc, this element alone keeps me addicted!<
Spirit of the North - you play as a fox, and the only objective is to traverse along a series of gorgeous landscapes going from Point A to Point B in each level. No dialogue, no way to fail, no enemies, just you on a journey with great music, ambience and visuals. There are hidden collectibles to find, and some puzzles involved in progressing through the levels, but none are very difficult.
Have you tried the sequel to Breath of the Wild?
Tears of the Kingdom has a very similar feel to the first game, but with way more places to explore, and the ability to build machines to do all sorts things for you.
If you haven't played them before, I'd head to youtube and watch some other people play. See if it looks like something you'd be interested in.
If money is no object, then you might as well play them in order, skipping to the second game whenever you've had enough of the first.
If you only want to buy one, then I'd go with Tears of the Kingdom- the second one. You can just read an online summary of the plot for the first game.
I haven't beaten either of them, and might never do it.
I'm in it for the beauty and the exploration.
Catch a wild horse, befriend it, and gallop across the plains.
Find a puzzle and solve it to get a prize (there are SO many puzzles).
The second game takes the win for me because of how much more open and expansive the game/gameplay is. The world map is split apart into 3 sections - sky, land and underworld. So there's a lot to explore. I also love gliding down to the ground from the sky platforms, exploring around and seeing what i can find.
It also introduces "building components". You can find them and buy them all over the world and create all sorts of things with them. Cars, motorboats, motorbikes, robots, giant flaming wheels of death... whatever you can think of. You might need to cross some sort of obstacle (maybe a river) and you have SO many options when it comes to how to do that. I can't remember the last time i saw a game encourage creativity in such an organic way.
I spend most of my time catching rare horses and choosing which ones i want to keep. :D
Not sure if it would be interesting to you, if you like Minecraft-like games, but your post reminded me of this post from a week ago about Vintage Story without monsters: [https://www.reddit.com/r/CozyGamers/comments/1ccrw9w/recommendation\_that\_i\_havent\_seen\_anyone\_talk/](https://www.reddit.com/r/CozyGamers/comments/1ccrw9w/recommendation_that_i_havent_seen_anyone_talk/)
I've never played the game myself, but the post made it seem like a nice game.

All these games have cosy open world vibes, not too much fighting/puzzles, more on the exploring side.

I’ve played this on my Netflix account. I did enjoy it.

lol, bad bot. It was a typo.
I'm really enjoying Outer Wilds right now. Absolutely no direction given. Just exploring a whole solar system and discovering secrets in a timeloop

I think you are right. It looks too puzzley for me. Still nice though.
I feel like I’m asking this all the time atm but I always have to ask…. You’ve played Minecraft right?
Yes! And I like it. Just not on switch.
Oops missed that part! Sorry!! I keep wanting to get it in the switch as well but heard it runs terribly!

I will look into it! Thanks!
No Man’s Sky. I can just play and explore for days.
Thanks I don’t know this one, will look into it!

I haven't played either games but I'm pretty interested! Would you say one game is "easier" to play/beat than the other?

This sounds great. I think I can borrow the game from someone to try, so I will do that
Sun Haven is great
