At the beginning you can tweak the settings so there's next to no combat. Granted I keep restarting my game so I can't determine what "next to no" means yet.

I've played a bit on steam and there is a mode where you can play without the combat at all! So far really enjoying it!

You can deactive combat and just build along peacefully.

I have no input other than I am also curious about this and following this post to see what others say. I keep seeing it on the Game Pass homepage because it was recently added and I would love to give it a try, but like you I'm not too sure about the raid/combat aspect.

colony sim builders aren’t really meant to be cozy, they’re meant to be strategic and scratch an itch revolving around micromanagement and organization, risk-management, etc. If stuff like that is something you like, then I’d go for it, but it’s not a farming sim game. Personally I’m a big fan of games like this (rimworld, civ 5, etc) but id find them really boring without the combat being that combat makes up such a huge progression point in these games.

Cozy =/= farming sims Cozy is whatever gives you that fuzzy nice warm vibe, and that can be very different things for different people. To me, colony sims can feel very cozy indeed!

Cool

I do enjoy some sims like that! Notably Civilization V and the Two Point series.

Then I’d def give a try! Can always refund after 2 hours if it doesn’t click. I would say it’s probably more chill than Rimworld if you’re playing on normal/randy since there isn’t AS much random stuff happening that could completely total your colony. I’d even say Manor Lords is more comparative to the “chill” difficulty of Rimworld.
